Update: Someone from the wash got in touch the next day, and asked for photos. We sent them in and then were invited to come back so the detail manager could make it right. We did, and they buffed and waxed out the marks. The detail manager was friendly and apologetic, and did the work himself. We are satisfied with the outcome, though the marks shouldn't have happened in the first place. Plus I had to take off work to get there before 3pm in order to meet the detail manager. Because of the inconvenience, we don't feel right going up to a full five stars. But excellent service recovery! read more

Came here new to the area needing a place to wash my lifted truck and this is one of the few that fit it. Paid for the superfecta as I was told it's a better for only $5 more. So I did, expecting my truck to look amazing. Only to get home and the inside of my truck was barely touched at all. My floor mats weren't removed, they only briefly wiped down the drivers side floor mat. All of my doors still had smudges and marks on them. And my center console wasn't even touched. The outside of the truck was intermediate at best. Blue soap residue everywhere, and honestly all their wash did was shine the truck up and didn't remove dirt. Nice staff, horrible management! People make plans around things like this so I drove across town to go here and showed up 15 minutes after they opened. They're closed until maybe noon because it's a light drizzle outside. They have a canopy over the drying area. What's the deal with rain. Are they going to melt? The staff were very friendly, but said the manager wanted to wait for the rain to stop. Last time my car was washed there it was pouring out. After spending over $80 on my daughters car today I was so disappointed to find grass along the seats and doors, leaves and grass in the trunk the door jams completely dirty without even a cursory wipe down The outside also poorly done I paid an extra $20 for the wax protection to be hand applied It was applied right over the grime that was left in various places on the car If the wash tunnel was not able to clean the car properly, why would they not offer to run it through again before applying the coating I left the trunk open and specifically asked for it to be vacuumed, it was a poor job leaving behind both grass and leaves. Usually I have a great experience at this car wash. Unfortunately the person who guided me into the wash was not skilled. My rear wheel fell off the track when entering the wash. Thankfully no damage to my wheel after the violent jolt. Then part way in the wash when the soap was applied the wash malfunctioned and I was stuck inside for 20 minutes. I would have appreciated some attitude adjustment like a free inside clean or something to make up for the time lost inside this wash. I got the trifecta. Which was supposed to do a thorough cleaning inside and out. The inside was done well. the outside left a bit to be desired. There was a stain with something spilled on the drivers door -- it is still there. Also the back door of the mini-van had some crud still stuck on the door, on the shelf just below the glass. It is my bad in that I did not check things before I left - though the drivers door was conveniently open for me to drive away - so it was not obvious. Streaks everywhere, my windshield and dash panel look worse than before I came in. There was also some soapy residue splattered on the side of my vehicle when they called me over and said it was finished. I had to wipe this off the door myself right in front of the employee who acted like he didn't see anything. Not even close to worth the $54. Save your money and do it yourself at home. I am not really sure where I should start. So, I would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend White Horse to anyone. I scheduled a Full Detail on Sunday, August 18th at 11 a.m. Just a brief rundown of what that includes for $250. White Horse advertises "Deep cleaning of door jambs, cracks, pockets, glove dash, console, and crevices. Shampoo of carpets. Shampoo and deep clean of trunk/ cargo area." This is on their website. They also advertise "removal of surface contaminants, polish & wax with or orbital buffer, Paint sealant, exterior trim treated, and wheels cleaned and dressed." Also clearly advertised for a total of $250. Well, I dropped my truck off and was expecting ALL of these services. The "Boss" told me it would be about three hours. An HOUR LATER, I was called and told my truck was ready. So, lets take a look at some pictures for what these morons accomplished in that hour. PICTURE ARE IN PICTURE GALLERY- Please go check them out!!! 1) Orange rag was used BY ME, cleaning the truck rims that were conveniently covered in some kind of oily sheen that they use that masked the dirt. 2) Green rag was used BY ME, cleaning off the exterior trim, front bumper, backs of the side view mirrors, and parts of the "Cargo Area" . This includes the DEAD BUGS that were STILL splattered on the front of the truck. 3) Yellow rag was used BY ME, cleaning interior trim and "CRACKS & CREVICES"(their words) I have also added pics of the windshield and the receipt. In a nutshell, they didn't shampoo anything, not the interior carpet or the cargo area. They didn't DEEP clean anything, cracks, crevices, door jambs, console. Certainly didn't remove "surface contaminants" such as dead bugs. No exterior trim was cleaned. And they ABSOLUTELY DID NOT clean the wheels. I'm not sure why none of this was done. I paid for it to be done. In my opinion, White Horse employs a bunch of lazy, unmotivated, scam artists. Really Good of you White Horse, stealing money. --- It took me over two weeks to decide to write a review. I wanted to be clear about everything without acting a fool. This is my experience and my educated response to the work done by White Horse. NEVER WILL I USE THEM AGAIN AND I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SAME FOR EVERYONE ELSE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

They showed up and more today. I have been here before and wasn't entirely impressed. However I decided to give them another try and my boyfriends car was a DISASTER! So I bring it in and tell them it needs a solid once over. Go through the car wash, get in line for detailing. My stupid self didn't know the car self locked, so one girl looked pretty annoyed. They did a once over, but then the I believe manager took my car and said he wanted to do a personal once over on the vehicle. He proceeded to vacuum more and wipe more down. I have 4 kids so my interior was in really bad shape. I let them know ahead of time, scheduled online for a full detail, and pointed out to them the problem areas when I got there. They took three hours. They were very nice, very attentive. I'm taking off one star because they missed a couple little spots, and a little plastic piece that covers the bolt that releases my spare tire (in the front compartment) went missing. Minor problems, overall I'm very satisfied. I'm sure I'll be able to find something to replace the little plastic piece. read more

Employee guiding me on the track did not want to be there. He didn't care much about directing me, so I wasn't in correct position approaching the track. So, when I got to the track it yanked my car in line so aggressively that my mud flap broke loose. God only knows how my alignment didn't get messed up as well. Subtle scratch marks from the dirty brushes could also be seen after the wash. When I got my towel dry they do by hand, there were several spots that were still dripping wet when finished. You shouldn't really ever go to a car wash if you care about your cars exterior, this was my reminder as to why, but if you really need it washed and can't do it by hand there are definitely better options out there. read more

I asked for a car wash with floor mats cleaning. They pointed to the more expensive package at $27! (w SUV surcharge). So I thought I'd give them a try. You sit in the car as it runs through an auto wash (like you get for $8 at a gas station). And then pull out to a line and wait for the interior to be cleaned. I waited almost 25 minutes to start the interior cleaning. When I came out of the waiting area to retrieve my car I put a tip in the tip box. Then one of the guys came up and said that he cleaned my all-weather floor mats but that's not part of the package. He did it as "a favor this one time" but warned me that that package doesn't include it. "So don't expect it next time"... "oh! okay... oh, thank you! I'm so sorry! Thank you!" but wait a minute! that's what your people sold me as I drove up, when I asked the floor mats to be cleaned! I paid EXTRA for all that...! It doesn't say all-weather mats are excluded. Then when I got home I started replacing all the stuff my wife likes to keep in the car (water bottles, shopping bags, blanket, workout bag etc etc etc. only to discover none of the door pockets were vacuumed or wiped down. The cup holders were sparingly wiped but not clean. Poor management and shortages of good workforce are evident here. I don't mind paying for good and thorough service but I don't like paying high prices for poor service and a scolding from an employee for buying one of their advertised packages. After I got home I took the all-weather mats out our second car and hosed them down. If you want it done right...and don't want to pay for a reprimand, go elsewhere or do it yourself. read more

It looked like they didn't even vacuum, there was still visible debris on my back seats, truck, and trash still under the passenger seat. The attendant seemed mad he saw the ticket was the extra package then when finished he "screamed "let's go!" To state the car was finished and apologized to the car behind mine for the wait...When I looked and told the guy it looked like it wasn't vacuumed he says "oh it's been vaccummed " and then snarkily tells me to have a good day. I went to White horse Auto Wash on November 6th in Charlottesville virginia. I paid for the super trifecta $36. I inspected my vehicle after it was completed and I noticed that the back end the hatchback cuz I have a SUV and the back top we're still dirty. I asked the young man if they could clean that off and he said no I would have to go back through the line and they would have to scrub off the tree sap and dirt.I did not go through the line because it was a long line and I do not park under a tree. when I got home I sprayed a little bit of Windex on the dirty area. First time customer and went in for one of the more expensive interior/ exterior services with clear coat add on. My car was pretty dirty due to having been parked under trees for a good part of the year so there was somewhat caked on dirt. The interior cleaning was satisfactory; however I was shocked at how dirty the exterior looked. I could see large swaths of dirt still embedded on the hood and around the lights. I figured maybe it was tree sap or something worse than dirt... I got home and used a car detergent we had and got out there with a sponge, preparing to scrub away. To my surprise the dirt came off pretty easily with a sponge. White Horse needs to either replace those crappy machines or get staff to actually use scrubbing brushes for pretreatment before the machines. Ticked off that I spent a not insignificant amount on a bad car wash... will give Tidal a try next. read more

Took my car in yesterday to be cleaned. Paid for the $25 package... tire shine, doors wiped down interior wipe and vacuum. Glad they vacuumed because that was about all I got! Never go here!!! I went to get a car wash right before my wedding and their conveyer belt punctured the side of my tire. It was 100% their mistake, but have been horrible to deal with. They have been to opposite of courteous and refuse to work with me to resolve the issue and get me a new tire. There are several more reliable, and less crony car services in C'ville. Please go somewhere else and avoid the headache that I have been dealing with for the past month! read more
