Not as good as its sister restaurant Wahoo's but still enjoyable. My husband wanted to watch World Cup Soccer so we arranged a table near a tv. We ordered drinks and settled on a few appetizers: fish chowder, wahoo bites, cauliflower wings and ribs. The cauliflower was the best of what we ordered! We liked it so much we came back and had more a few days later. The chowder was thinner that others we had during our visit, and the wings and ribs were just okay. I don't know that I'd get the ribs again because they were really bland. The White Horse is an institution so when in Bermuda you have to visit. It's a popular place with tourists and it's close to the ferry shuttle and bus stops so it's easy to get to. We stayed in St George's so it was an easy walk for us. read more

I popped in for a quick bite during a bus tour of the island. I had the recommended fish sandwich. The price of around $30 was the norm (!) for Bermuda. But the service was not. I asked three different servers three different times for WiFi password, water refill, and the check, respectively. Each promised to come back with the requested item. Each time, I was forced to go to the bar to get what I needed. If you're looking for expensive food with sloppy, inattentive, unprofessional service, you've found your place! This was our first stop on our two weeks in Bermuda. The service was terrible!!!! When gratuity is already included the servers seem to care less once you get your food. No one ever came back to check on us. I would have liked extra rum and peppers for my soup. NOPE. Never got them cause no one ever came back. This place was recommended for the famous fish sandwich on raisin bread. It did not disappoint. We were on an island tour and had a bit of time for lunch. We sat with two other couples from our group so it was a lovely time. Each couple ordered a rum swizzle and the fish sandwich. Our server was very sweet and checked on us several times. We were right by the water so we had great seats. Every thing was very good. read more

We arrived at the end of a personized tour and our guide, knowing our interest in history, told us to try for a waterview table to see the dunking. That turned out to be a recreation of an incident when the town tattletale is thrown in the river by the town cryer. This is the oldest pub in Bermuda and it has aged well. We shared the traditional fish sandwich and listened to the quiet folk singers songs from our era. The fish sandwich was magnificent, washed down with a swizzle. It was all perfect. read more

It's Restaurant Weeks in Bermuda, and we are trying as many spots as we can over our extended trip here. We had lunch at Whitehorse on a cold windy day in January. The deck was closed in with clear curtains, so we could enjoy the view in comfort. I tried the Restaurant Weeks lunch special, with the Bermuda fish chowder and a burger ($35 for 2-course). Both were quite good. Added a rum swizzle for $8, and started off a relaxing afternoon. Service was attentive and quick, even at 2:30 in the afternoon. read more

Food is solid compared to two other restaurants in the area. Lobster is good and so is the service.

This restaurant was a recommendation by one of our tour guides for lunch and it was delicious! Service was quick and we got to sit right by the water and watch the fish swim by. Prices are high but that's because you are on an island in the middle of the Atlantic :) there was even a cool dance floor in the center area inside. Portions are nicely sized (the fish and chips had 3 huge pieces of fish!) so I would consider sharing if you aren't super hungry! read more

Excellent location along the water. Sitting outside on the covered deck, there is a nice cool breeze on a hot day. The food is always great, especially the wahoo. Try the fish tacos with grilled wahoo or the new cauliflower bites. Also, the Bermuda Triangle Long Island was so smooth - a great version of a classic with local spirits - it had a nice buttery finish. read more

We just had a few hours in St. George's......so we had to try the local drink; the Rum Swizzle. We stopped into the White Horse Pub because it was convenient and not too crowded. It wasn't easy getting the bartender's attention even though the bar was 1/2 empty. We finally got his attention and got 2 Rum Swizzles to go. They were good; but nothing spectacular. read more

Just to be clear ~ it is not located in the United Kingdom but rather in St. George, Bermuda. It is one of only a couple of places to stop, get out of the heat, and rehydrate in this port. It is also a restaurant and the food smelled delicious, but we were only there for hydration. There is outdoor seating and when you walk in, the bar is located to your right. We found the staff to be friendly and attentive to our thirst ~ no complaints. It was not loud so you could easily hear the rest of our party when they spoke. read more

Ordered shrimp & chips that was mediocre at best. I asked if the fish & shrimp was fresh & was told fresh frozen. French fries mushy, seemed like they were microwaved. Lava cake was gritty & small for $16. Overall service was very good, food not so much. read more

Overall Score: 3.25 (Friendly) Really friendly pub and restaurant in a tremendous site by the water. Looking out on the town square the bay and a renovated ship, you could hardly ask for more. We seemed to be the only people not eating which must say plenty for the menu. Cocktails from a well chosen list were priced reasonably (by Bermudian standards) and refreshingly tasty and well made. Spent a day in St. George. Stopped here because it was on the water and had a nice view. Service was very attentive and welcoming. Got a rum swizzle which was great, and avocado roll and Caesar salad with wahoo. All well prepared and tasty. Prices: outrageous but I'm sure it's because we are on an island. read more

we had a terrific meal here last night. the ambience is quite nice. We had a beautiful scene outside next to the water. Although it was described in the summer about what type experience, the food was rather good we started out with the honey and garlic, glazed wings, calamari and several sushi rolls. All were quite delicious and tasty. Our waitress was terrific. She really helped us a lot, and at the end of the evening the maître d' of the restaurant was so kind as to get us a taxi even though it was late at night if you're in Saint George's, perhaps if you're staying at the Saint Regis or wherever we would highly recommend that you spend some time and have a wonderful dinner here read more
