My wife wanted to stopped by this White House Black Market store while we were at Valencia Town Center. We been to their other location in Sherman Oaks so she was already familiar with that they carry. She wanted to see if the items she saw before was on sale now. When we walked inside, we were immediately greeted by the workers and asked if we needed any help. She told us about their deals and also where their sales area were. I usually just pass Store but my friend was wearing the cutiest vest from Store I had to go in. What a great selection !! Back in the 90's they had a store in Pasadena and I was a regular but that store closed and I never had one in my area but great news I moved to Santa Clarita and now I have a store again !! Sarah was so precious!! She has a great personality and professional !She helped me try on a jean lightweight jacket I even had to try a smaller size which made me happy lol Anyway I will add to my wardrobe and visit store more often Thanks Sarah you are a asset to Company ! Everyone that works here are so sweet and beautiful!! I came in a month ago not really expecting much cause the store isn't my style but Anna, one of the workers, picked out a dress for me and I fell in love once I tried it on. The manager, Sarah came over and immediately picked out shoes and accessories for the dress which I loved. And she was so nice about it saying that if certain things were out of my price range I could easily find them elsewhere. Which I obviously appreciated. She clearly loves her job and dressing people up because she was genuinely excited to pick stuff out for me. I ended up buying the dress and a belt to match. I have been shopping here for years! They always maintain fabulous staff. They are helpful and resourceful, always willing to check online for out of stock sizes and ordering for you to be delivered to your home free of charge. Their clothes are fashionable but not too trendy. Although clothes may be a bit pricy, the quality is always excellent. I have pieces from more than 10 years ago. They have nice clothes but a horrible return policy! If you wait 60 days, you get absolutely NOTHING! Even if you have the receipt you get nothing. I just tried to get store credit, but it wasn't possible. The manager was nice enough, just couldn't do anything. I think that is bad customer service on the companies part. Picture this.....stay at home mom whose wardrobe consists of sweats, jeans, and comfortable clothes. My mission was to find a nice outfit for my husband's work party. I entered WHBM apprehensive I would find anything that would fit me well while staying within my budget. Eileen, Allison and a third salesperson (sorry didn't catch her name!) made my challenge a reality!!!! In a nutshell they are outstanding individuals who gave me the ultimate service I needed to get what I needed. Let's start with Eileen who listened to what I was looking for and starting pulling outfits for me to try. She was personable but gave me space to try on these clothes. Of course as luck would have it just as I was trying my first dress I get a frantic call from my hubby that my son had gotten ill and he needed me at home. Eileen was so understanding, agreed to hold all the clothes so that I could return later that evening or the following day. Once things were quiet at home, I returned and Allison and other lady (sorry didn't get name) helped set me up and they were just as enthused and engaged as I had received earlier that day. I felt like a modern day Cinderella who had found her dress for the ball!!! What impressed me even more was that the salespeople weren't in a rush to push me out the door even though I was there after the shop had closed. Coming on a Saturday to WHBM during covid times was a pleasant shopping experience. Wearing a mask is mandatory but the whole staff was nothing but gracious. You are able to try on clothes in their boutique which is great! They also sanitize once you are finished with their dressing rooms. Really attentive, friendly staff- it was black friday and they were more than attentive to each and every customer like it was any other shopping day. I feel like they have some fun, unique finds that are a little pricey but still attainable. Shoe selection is pretty fun- i appreciate that they carry a size 10, at least ( size 11 would be even better but most stores only carry to a 9.5). I have loved buying clothes at this store for the great design and excellent customer service, but I have noticed that their imported fabric is really of poor quality and no last ability even with fine washing. For the money, I do expect that the fabric would be a better quality and am disappointed. I may consider not shopping there anymore. read more

I'm a regular at this store. They are very expensive but I love their jeans. If you can you will find better deals online. My last visit was a little annoying because I had at least three people ask to help my shop on a 25 min visit. However they just earned my business in a big way! I was wearing my new jeans (replaced a previous work out pair of the sane style). The first time I wore the jeans the button popped off (not the best feeling for anyone). I then noticed the button was really loose and popped off easily. I was really worried they would give me a hard time since they'd been worn. I went in and explained what happened and showed them how the button comes off. Two saleswomen apologized for my experience. They got me a new pair, checked the button and sent me in my way. No drama, no hassle. Great experience. Redeemed my anger after the situation given the price of the jeans. read more

I generally like the clothes in this store. I feel my stye is represented in a lot of the clothing I find here. Size is usually the issue why I don't buy more often as they don't seem to carry 12 or 14. This time I found a dress and while It was a little tight, I didn't have time to wait for their offer to have the same dress in a 14 shipped home. I needed the dress for Vegas the next day. When I got the $119 dress home, put it on trying to coordinate my outfit for the next day I realized one complete tassel & tie that hung from the front of the dress was missing. I had no time to look for another dress or even bring that one back. So I cut the tassel & tie off from the other side and wore it as planned in Vegas the next night. I bought another dress that same day but, when I tried it on at home it looked awful. It was like a scene out of Seinfled when Elanie buys a dress at a high end store because she thinks she looks like Demi in "Indecent Proposal" but, when she tired it on at home she looks horrible. In my case, I looked like a ballerina in the store and when I put the dress on at home I looked like Evileen in "The Wiz" None of that, of course, is the stores fault however, when I returned the Evileen dress 4 days later I told the cashier gal about the missing tassel on the dress I kept. I even showed her the tassel I cut off to balance the dress. Her response was, "oh, I see. Sorry, about that." I guess I was looking for, "Let me get the manager" or "here's $20 off your next purchase" I paid a lot for the dress and it really wasn't worth the quality I would have expected nor was the lack of customer service I encounter at the counter. read more

Very upsetting, I bought some summer sale items as Christmas presents only to find out that with my receipt and tickets attached to the blouse, they would only give me a store credit for half the purchase price! Top, top-notch service, something which you just don't seem to get in retail that often. The first time I visited I was doted upon by Sara, and although I didn't have the budget to buy at the time (had just made a hefty Modcloth purchase), I kept the place in mind. Yesterday, I needed a suit. My grey Banana Republic suit, though well-fitted, wasn't giving me the oomph I needed to feel in an interview. So I found myself walking through the door of a store called "White House Black Market", hoping to find a fashion-forward suit with color. Although Sara was super-busy with other customers, Colleen spent a good chunk of my two hours there offering suggestions and helping me out. When we found that I had misquoted my size (I run a size or two below that at other places), Colleen dutifully grabbed as many items in my true size as could be found. I walked out with a gorgeous, fashion-forward, fuchsia suit, an extra white casual suit jacket, and an adorable corset-style camisole to wear underneath (during non-interviews, of course). I feel so much more confident that I will be able to walk into my job interviews feeling like my full, professional, colorful self. A note: as stated above, my size here runs super small, so I suggest trying on one item before you have them pull a bunch of stuff that doesn't fit. read more

I have shopped here for several years because their clothes fit me really well. There is a big problem with the zippers on their jeans are so sharp and they constantly make holes on my shirts. It's very frustrating! I have called customer service but nothing is ever done. The next problem is the poor customer service with one of the sales reps, Lyka and the manager, Emily Fischbach, at the Valencia store. They were absolutely no help when I tried to return two new pairs of pants with the receipt. I had ordered them online and they didn't fit. It took me 78 days to get to the store since I live over an hour away and I didn't realize the return policy is 60 days. I had the receipt and the tags were still on them and the store is still selling them at full price, but the girl absolutely refused to help me. I asked for the manager and she said said she would be there at 3pm and it was 9:45am. I asked her to call her and she went in the back with the phone so I wouldn't hear what she said and then brought back the phone to me. That was extremely rude! The manager refused to help me. I explained that I couldn't make it down to return them and she didn't care. Such poor customer service! Then I left and got to my car and realized that they kept my receipt. I called and asked them to walk it to the curb since I had just had foot surgery and she said she couldn't leave the store even though there were 2 associates working. I asked her to call the manager and she finally came back and said the other girl would walk it out. Seriously poor customer service! So disappointed. Their clothing is overpriced, but I would continue to shop there if they had better customer service. read more
