I had never heard of flat iron steaks (one of the most tender cuts of beef and very affordable) before Sanagan's and now it's a staple in my household. You are also able to order cuts of meat that are not available at the counter (I ordered duck hearts once) as well as order ahead online. The housemade sauces and charcuterie made by Sanagan's are also delicious. They might be slightly higher priced than supermarket brands, but they're highly worth it. Mario even has wild game meat in the back such as elk, bison, rabbit, venison and others. You should know that Mario's Meats offer delivery if you meet a certain minimum to make the drive worthwhile. Overall, I cannot recommend Mario's Meats enough. I'll be going back very soon for some Mennonite-raised chicken thighs and eggs, as well as grass-fed ground beef. To be clear, Mario has both, 100% grass-fed beef throughout the lifecycle of the cow and grass finished beef, whereby the cow is put on a grass-only diet during the last 3 months before slaughter.

Once you enter in, someone greets you and asks you what you want. Everything is pre-bagged so you just tick off which meats you want and they pull it out of the tray or fridge for you. I ordered a bag of kalbi ribs, two bags of chicken thighs in different flavours. I don't find the kalbi really tasty for some reason. Maybe the marinade is too light but I wasn't a fan of the texture of the meat either. The chicken thighs on the other hand kicked it out of the ball park. The curry one is soooo juicy and delicious and I love the flavours. Prices are pretty good too. I can't remember exactly how much it was but I think the 3 bags were under $30 and they were more than enough to feed a family of 6.

As a side note, the shop's location has changed, which is shown on a notice at the door. They are located at another unit, called Ah Fong, in the same plaza. The plaza itself is super run down but don't judge a book by its cover - the meat here is amazing!
