We've recently moved my Grandmother and are desperately trying to get her healthy again. My Grandmother did not get needed medication for 3 weeks, it ended up being stopped suddenly which made her anxiety and dementia exasperated. When trying to talk to any staff, NO ONE EVER TAKES RESPONSIBILITY. It's always someone else's fault, that no longer works there. No apologies, no accountability. We were also told that when my Grandmothers LIFE SAVINGS had been exhausted she would be able to continue staying at Pacifica on Medicaid. Concerned because there had been SO many things that changed or were not true, we made an appointment to discuss this and other issues. We were immediately told NO she couldn't stay and again, It was the old employees fault for telling us that. It was always filthy, they are always short staffed and the urine smell is awful. When we moved my Grandmother out it became even more obvious how poorly she was cared for with the amount of dirt everywhere. They are building MORE houses and I'm wondering how they will be able to handle more residents? If you're lured in with the new construction, be sure you go over every single detail, because you can not take anyone's word. And if you have a loved one move in, be sure to be there every single day, be there for every doctor appointment, make sure you are aware of every medication. Basically, micromanage every little detail because you can not trust them to truly take care of your person.

He had just lost his wife and all they care about is money this place disgusts me. They're trying to charge us to renovate a room after we left it better than we got it. It was cleaned and the items were removed. These people only care about money. Be careful before you put your loved one here they'll act nice to your face, but as soon as the money stops, they could give a crap about you or your family! So to all you people over there with the fancy titles, you don't deserve them. You don't have the courtesy to call a person back asking for you to explain why you're charging for care and room and board the month after the person has passed away. This is a violation of CMS and Medicare. All you to say is refer to some paperwork, but you can't tell me which paperwork and where it is, you guys are a joke. I've been patient. I've been calling for weeks leaving messages. No one can call me back. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. I have visited many places in our search for a top caliber Assisted Living Fac. for my parents. We found that Bristol Heights had everything we needed and wanted in a facility. 1. A superior administrator who has passion about running a great facility. Kim Johnson cares about the residents and she does not use the high pressure sales pitches and tactics that other administrators and facilities use. We appreciated her honesty about what my mother and father truly need. Kim exceeded our expectations on what we want from an administrator. 2. We were there why the cook was preparing the lunch from scratch. It looked and smelled like delicious homemade food. 3. The place was very clean (smelled clean too) and the rooms and facilities were cheery. The views from the rooms were beautiful too. My dad is always cold and the facility was warm like he likes it. They have fire sprinklers through out. 4. They have lots of activities there at the facility and in the community. My dad decided that he wants to live in California because of the colder winters in Idaho, and because of his age the cold weather will not work for him. Kim (being the professional that she is) told my dad that he gets to decide where he lives. My dad was getting pressure from my siblings to move to Coeur d'Alene. Kim pointed several facts for my dad to consider. Kim represents Bristol Heights extremely well and they are fortunate to have her.

My friend told me that someone fell and there was nobody there to help them. The turnover and people that work there is under 90 days. I would not recommend this assisted-living at all. In the local mountains! When I began treatment I could not walk from the bed to the coffee pot without severe pain. I love many things about Summit and the Coeur d'Alene staff. They don't just "crack your back" and send you on your way. They have equipment for warm-up and for after your session. They send equipment home, with detailed instructions and exercises tailored to your needs. The doctors and desk staff are all friendly and approachable. And, greatly appreciated: they have supplements and specialized programs available, but do not engage in "hard sell." I say that the staff here has "given me my life back."
