I hate this for Soldiers... Soldiers splurge to get Marlow White "qualify" uniforms but get a poor product in return. Marlow White rests on its "history" but there is nothing there. I've purchased 3 sets of uniforms there over the years, all thinking it was fluke they didn't fit well. All were "custom" spending over an hour to go over the details and measurements. It was all a show.... When I received my latest AGSU it didn't fit at all and felt like it was straight off the rack. Lots of showmanship with the nice decorations, nothing underneath the hood. A truly horrendous experience thus far. Delayed delivery after paying a premium for expedited shipping; missing shoes initially which led to the promise of another pair being sent, and after a few weeks of not receiving it I learn they were never sent; wrong sized cap returned for an exchange to find out they took it as a return but never issued a refund. I was told by my higher ups to make my way to a brick and mortar base to get measured and buy stuff direct instead of buying stuff online through this spot. I didn't listen and I am still paying the price for my stubbornness. This is a company that has no regard for the men and women serving in the uniform they provide, causing countless embarrassments in canceled events and inabilities to complete the missions I have been tasked with. I went in for a personal fitting which was all well and good, but the items needed to be shipped to my home. When they came, the material quality was bad. Bad stitches and snags in the shirts, poor quality all around. Then they discontinued an item that had been on back order and never actually contacted me to provide me with information. It took three separate calls to their corporate store to get a refund processed. This is not the same business I remember when I bought my dress blues for my wedding 15 years ago. Worst service ever! Buyer beware! Do not waste your time or money here. They treat service members so poorly. I tried to get infantry officer boards to update my uniform and employees Jesse Proctor and Leah White thought it was funny to bring me the wrong set of boards twice! Then proceeded to not want to issue me a refund! I guess they really needed my money. I even asked them if they knew what color to bring and I got a very confused "gray?" In response. I guess Marlow White doesn't pay attention or even provide a guide to its employees to ensure they are giving their customers the correct products. The 2 women I worked with were not only confused and uneducated on what I needed, they were rude and combative when provided corrections and tried to say I was wrong! Ha! Exceptional product and value! I was a little hesitant to order new ribbons and medals from Marlow White because It seemed like they only focused on uniforms and alterations. When I couldn't find any other websites that could create my ribbon and medal racks they way I needed them, I decided to give Marlow White a try. It was extremely easy to build my ribbon rack on their website, and the price was very competitive compared to other sites I had tried. My ribbons just arrived in high quality cases, and I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out! High price for crappy build. Bad stitching, inaccurate sizing (wrong sizing labels attached to the jacket for the size that it actually is). Crooked seams on pants, seams not correctly matched. Went in today for a last minute purchase/alteration, all of which was my fault, and the entire team at the store was extremely helpful. The young lady in sales MDMP'd the situation.... coordinated with the supervisor in alterations, requested the seamstress that was going to do the work to do the fitting, and delivered the finished product 90 minutes early. One of the cleanest and professional tailor that I have been to! They have very courteous staff who like to interact and hold a decent conversation! They also have a wide range of sizes, the jackets went up to 50 and the pants went to 46. The professionalism was to a level that some businesses aspire to reach, with a clean building from the inside and out (as you can see in the photos), they also have designated areas for all their items so it isn't a hassle to find what you need whether it's a hat, jacket, or pants. The inside was extremely clean, it has no trash or random assortments. It was not just clean in the way of trash, but the way they arranged the items made it easy to walk through. It does transition from tile to wood, which usually leaves tracks, but they do a good job making sure that does not happen. Finally, they had a well maintained staff who asked if you liked what you received and were concerned about how it fit. The receptionist who "served" us was exceptionally kind and asked questions, but got off topic, which we did not mind. So in all, our visit was exceptional and would go again! read more

This past Saturday, my fiance and I went to a military gala and he wore a blue mess dress uniform for the event. While he looked nice in his uniform, two things were wrong with it (one minor, and one major). The first and minor problem was when he took his jacket off the hanger so he could get dressed, a piece that was glued onto the ribbon of a mini medal came off. Cheap. Not a good start, but whatever. Now this problem was the major problem. My fiance was given the wrong pants. He is a commissioned officer, but not a general. He was given the pants for a general. Not being knowledgeable about proper pants, I didn't think anything was wrong with his pants. However, someone at the gala noticed his pants and told him. My fiance was very embarrassed over a mistake that wasn't his fault and he changed into his ASU pants. Someone got back to him today and will give him proper pants and a return label to return his general pants, but we ask that whomever processed his order will pay more attention so another person won't have the same issue. We checked the order confirmation and my fiance did not accidentally order the general's uniform. Although it won't make a difference to the company, we will not be utilizing Marlow White's services again to buy important uniforms or uniform pieces. read more

I seriously don't understand what it is with this company, but I have had only terrible experiences. They convinced me, a newly-commissioning lieutenant, to buy their blues and, hey, since I'm getting married soon why not also pick up mess dress? The blues were massively oversize when I received them and the mess dress jacket had the wrong branch color on the lapels. What has really frustrated me, though, was their uncaring response to my complaints. They wanted to charge me $99, plus s/h, for their mistake on my mess dress jacket. I didn't have time to get the blues altered because they only arrived a few weeks before I was supposed to commission in them. Honestly on of the worst services I have ever received. When I first got tailored for my uniform I was told that the prices would include everything I needed for my future order for my branch and when I did call after I got my MOS, they told me I had to pay for that. I still do not know if I paid extra and the two people I talked to over the phone did not give me a straight answer. I was told I would get a call back and did not for 2 weeks, had to call them back, and then get information. Once, they shipped out my package and told me I would receive a tracking number. Never got it. Had to call them BACK, and then they sent the tracking number to me. Package never came and called them back and a girl named Jessie wanted to have an attitude with me and said it wasn't their problem anymore. She told me she would get back to me, but after being lied to about that more than 3 times about getting a call or email back, I had to make her tell me when she would get back to me and who her supervisor is in case she doesn't. I'm really disappointed with how much Marlow and White doesn't care about their customers, and because all their customers are military, seems like they don't care to treat their military with any respect or professionalism. Not ever doing business with them again, I'd rather order a whole new ASU with another company than have to deal with ordering even a name tag from them ever again. read more

Made an appointment for purchase and tailoring new set of ASUs. Their site indicated up to three weeks for completion. I went in and was told it would be up to five to six weeks. Just as the sales person is talking to me I noticed a quote above the doorway leading to the back. "Honesty isn't the best policy it's the only policy". Not confident they are living up to that. Two days later I'm informed I will not receive the item until mid November, I need by the 1st and that's why I paid extra. I sent 3 emails to cancel and received an email from them stating I will receive on the first. So they did have it. Interesting. I strongly recommend not using this company for anything. Don't order their "Professionally Mounted" ribbons. I tried Marlow White after years of ordering from Ultrathin Ribbons. Marlow White cost three times as much as Ultrathin for the same ribbon rack. I figured I would give it a whirl anyway, as I wanted to make sure they looked good for my DA photo. When I received my order I was shocked... with disappointment. The campaign stars were crooked, the oak leaf clusters weren't centered, and there was excess glue visible on some of the attached devices. Most of these defects were clearly visible from even a cursory inspection. I notified Marlow White customer service and they quickly responded, sending me a replacement set overnight. They even claimed they would have a manager inspect the ribbons prior to shipment. When this set arrived, they looked better... except instead of the Korean Defense Service Medal, they mounted a NCO Professional Development Ribbon. Bottom line... Marlow White's professional ribbon mounting service is NOT worth the cost or frustration that comes with it. I'm going back to Ultrathin. Update... I just had them update my mini medals and they totally jacked those up too. They used two different sizes of oak leaf clusters and campaign stars and failed to vertically center the attachments. THESE GUYS ARE CLEARLY INCOMPETENT WITH REGARD TO RIBBONS AND MEDALS. read more

I needed a new ASU jacket to wear at my daughter's wedding. When it arrived, I discovered--to my shock and horror--that the buttons were not properly affixed! Not sewn on, and the little button holes to permit insertion of the button "eyelet" for securing with a brad were totally absent. I had to have an "emergency sewing job" done on the coat in time for the wedding! I served over 20 years, retired as a field grade officer, and never in my life have I seen a uniform coat only half-finished! The coat material was great, but the button snafu--and Marlow White not sewing on the sleeve braid, and not wanting to ship the uniform coat to my home in Canada--all added up to a bad customer experience. What Marlow White doesn't get is that many people order uniforms online because they don't live near a military base--and in non-military towns, there just aren't people who are experienced in doing things like sewing on sleeve braid and making those tiny little button holes for the coat buttons. Not sewing on the sleeve braid and sending me a coat that could not be buttoned seems half-assed to me. I won't order anything from Marlow White again. When you get a uniform coat, the only thing it should need is to have your personal insignia affixed--and not require a hyper-serious tailoring job! read more

Even my receipt shows two different prices. I spent over $200 buying shirts for my cadets and have spent thousands in the past. I contacted this company three weeks before my event; I could not place my order online and had to call to place my order. I was assured the item was in stock and I would have my order by Thursday (this was on a Monday) by Friday I had not received my order and called the company. They could not find my order and placed me on hold for 5 minutes. When they finally came back, I was told the item was on back order and they had no idea when it would be available. Their recommendation was for me to call the Navy Exchange for my item as there was nothing they could do to assist me further. One of the questions specifically asked during my order was the date of my event which I clearly provided; the questions I specifically asked were is the item in stock and when would it be delivered. I am now one week away from my event and without the appropriate uniform. Fortunately I have a friend who works at Walter Reed - who will have to overnight the item required. I will NEVER use this company again nor would I recommend the use of this company due to lack of truth to the customer as well as their lack of professionalism. read more
