They don't have a online booking system but honestly it was great because it wasn't over crowded. The pace of play was good and the staff was very nice. The course itself was very hilly and there were a lot of utility poles. Hole 9 over looks the main road so you can see the cars driving by. I did find the net to be pretty small and was afraid that the ball would fly over the net. Luckily that did not happen but something to watch out for! Overall I will come back for a quick game.

Now this place has a nice driving range no frills, it's not top golf but it seems like a relaxing range to let them fly. The mini putt, i think there's only 16 courses not 18 currently. Looks like a couple were taken out maybe being redone? Or we just missed it but I'm pretty sure we didn't miss them. This isn't the obstacle style one with the dinosaurs, windmills, clown mouth. It's a simplistic, more...... clean? Style putt. Has the bumps, turns, nature in your path, but not the frills. Enjoyed our time. Quick and easy. Groups of 5 technically are allowed but we saw groups bigger. With 2 people you can rip thru the course pretty quickly.

What I like are the parquet floors and the big oval chandeliers. The decorations on the tables are very nice too with big dinner plates for the guests. This room is adjacent to another big but a little smaller room. I do not remember about the food. So I would assume it is fair- not bad but nothing spectacular as I did not remember it.I do not recall having to call a Thorny Lea staff as never had any issues. We've hosted many events in the private function rooms, including birthdays, funeral brunches & bridal showers. I've also attended a wedding at Thorny Lea and all I have are good things to say about the food, staff & space. The club takes care of its guests and visitors alike. If you are an outsider, however, you'll surely feel even more like one during the busy seasons when all of the members are on their game and taking over the place they likely call "home" for 5-8 months out of the year.

On 3 different holes I was driven into...two time by the group behind us....and once from a t-box in opposite direction. When I say driven into...2 landed within 5 feet of me. So of course I picked up their balls since there wasn't even an attempted fore or sorry. When I discussed with Ranger he said he'd take care of it. BUT here's the rest of the story...he came back 5 minutes later and said I was mistaken that only 2 groups had driven into me. Ok his facts are wrong...and I have the golf balls to prove it. However when I suggested his facts were wrong...he raised his voice and stated: "I know what happened here and you are wrong." And I said no, your facts are wrong. In his huff he departed but told me over my shoulder: "GO F*Ck yourself! I DEMAND MORE FROM A GOLF COURSE....THIS WAS REPHENSIBLE BEHAVIOR.

The view was amazing, the day was perfect and it just flowed like a well orchestrated event. Andy and Frank took the stress away before and on the day of the wedding. I made a tee time here last week by going to their website. I was directed to a page that said the…read morerate shown was inclusive of a $2.49 fee. Inclusive means includes. I got a confirmation email saying the fee was $115 per person for a total of $230. My credit card says they charged me $233 for my 2some. I got another charge of $4.98 from Golfnow. So now my $230 for 2 jumped to $237.98 in total. You might think it's only $7.98 more (or $3.99 per person). Add that $3.99 per person all golf season long and that amounts to a number worthy of a class action lawsuit. I called them. The guy in the pro shop was very polite and he told me that he's worked here for a long time and I'm the first to ever call and inquire. Maybe the next call for me will come from someone else? very disappointing as I feel like I was "bait and switched"....
