You will need to collect cash from your entire group, walk around with a pocket of cash, go to the bank to deposit it so you can pay the credit card bill. They don't have a online booking system but honestly it was great because it wasn't over crowded. The pace of play was good and the staff was very nice. The course itself was very hilly and there were a lot of utility poles. Hole 9 over looks the main road so you can see the cars driving by. I did find the net to be pretty small and was afraid that the ball would fly over the net. Luckily that did not happen but something to watch out for! Overall I will come back for a quick game.

Looks like a couple were taken out maybe being redone? Or we just missed it but I'm pretty sure we didn't miss them. This isn't the obstacle style one with the dinosaurs, windmills, clown mouth. It's a simplistic, more...... clean? Style putt. Has the bumps, turns, nature in your path, but not the frills. Enjoyed our time. Quick and easy. Groups of 5 technically are allowed but we saw groups bigger. With 2 people you can rip thru the course pretty quickly.

What I like are the parquet floors and the big oval chandeliers. The decorations on the tables are very nice too with big dinner plates for the guests. This room is adjacent to another big but a little smaller room. I do not remember about the food. So I would assume it is fair- not bad but nothing spectacular as I did not remember it.I do not recall having to call a Thorny Lea staff as never had any issues. We've hosted many events in the private function rooms, including birthdays, funeral brunches & bridal showers. I've also attended a wedding at Thorny Lea and all I have are good things to say about the food, staff & space. The club takes care of its guests and visitors alike. If you are an outsider, however, you'll surely feel even more like one during the busy seasons when all of the members are on their game and taking over the place they likely call "home" for 5-8 months out of the year.

We both live about an hour away. When we went to the pro shop, the young lady started to check us in and said ok 9 holes with a cart and i said "9? We booked for 18". She looked at the guy that was hanging out behind the counter and he said yeah, you can only play 9. With a bunch of back and forth with this jerk, we ended up leaving. He had the worst attitude I've ever come across in my 25 years of playing. We tried to express that we booked for 18, we drive an hour to get there and his excuse was that a bunch of tee times came in from Golf Now. Bunch of bs but since we were there, we were going to play the nine anyway but he couldn't even tell us what 9 we could play or even when we could tee off. And his attitude got worse after that. I feel sorry for the young lady that has to work with that prick. So we went to Easton Country Club. We'll not EVER go back to OSL.

The one bad part is the amenities there…read more Have played there multiple times, and once you are out on the course, you are in no man's land. You do not make the "turn" so you don't see the clubhouse. There is a shack out there, but has never been open. I try to abide by rules and don't want to bring alcohol out on the course(I haven't and no that's not why I play golf), but even to get a water, Gatorade, snack is not possible. This past time the clubhouse attendant did tell us that the beverage cart would be out, so I didn't get a water or Gatorade in the clubhouse because it would get warm. We never saw a cart. Also probably better that I didn't because when we did get inside, $36.75 for a Tito's and 2 Bud Light bottles was a little steep. Food at the restaurant was very good. Go out here with a group of guys every year, probably going to take it off the list.
