We booked through an app and it came out to $88 for three - not bad. However, when we arrived, we were told carts stop around 4:30 pm and instead were given push carts. Since we did not book directly with them, the person working couldn't refund us the cart prices and the app did not have an option to dispute a charge. We noticed that the majority of the hole's putting green had either very tall grass, it was brown and dead, or there were dirt patches which made the game more difficult. The fairways on some of the holes were good, and for others, lots of poorly maintained areas. We were grateful we had a map on the scorecard since it wasn't always intuitive on how to get to the next hole or the shape of the hole. In terms of difficulty, I would say this was a 6/10 course, but I am not an expert so take my opinion with a grain of salt. We lost a lot of balls since most of the holes have tall grass or shrubs on either side and we sucked at hitting straight. Their parking lot is big, with some spots in the shade to help keep our cars cooler. They did stop cart services by the time we started golfing, and there were no water jugs so definitely bring your own water to stay hydrated.

I went golfing here a few days ago. A ranger approached us on the 16th hole and admonished us for…read moreallegedly driving the cart in the restricted area. He spoke to my friend and I like we were 5 years old. Although we were sure we only drove the cart where it was permitted, we apologized and assured him it was unintentional. He continued to be rude and demeaning. After he rode away we backtracked to check the signage and we did NOT enter the restricted area. I was so upset and flustered we didn't finish the final few holes and left. I did tell a very kind gentleman (Dave) in the clubhouse what happened. He offered to refund my money which I declined. The way we were treated was unwarranted even if we had made a mistake, which we did not. I doubt I will be returning to this course to play again. Nor will I pay for lessons here which I had done previously. There are many other courses that have employees that treat their customers with respect. Hopefully this is just one bad apple but unfortunately one is sometimes more than enough.

The course is a great old historic course. While not overly long, it was well maintained, and you can sense the history as you walk the fairways. I played this course while traveling on business and will definitely come again when I'm in the Boston area.
