My wedding and engagement rings needed resized. The original mill grain one was very thin, and we…read morewanted the thickness and profile of the two rings to be more similar, so we decided to get a new band to mark our anniversary. The saleswoman assisted us with selecting the perfect band to complement my engagement ring. My engagement ring is an eternity style, so it is not the easiest task, to get a good complement. We selected a thin, braided, gold band. She also explained that, since I normally wear the rings together, soldering them would be beneficial, and would prevent the settings of the diamonds from needing an expensive repair. The repair took two weeks, less than the estimated three. They also replaced a watch battery, for my husband. Also, we hit a road construction delay, on the way to pick up the ring. I called, and told the staff member that we were likely to arrive just at closing, or a few minutes late. They were kind enough to stay open for us, despite, I'm sure, being ready to close up on a Friday evening. I was so happy to be able to wear the new and improved ring that weekend, while we were out and about.

I think there was only one employee working when we visited and she greeted us when we entered and seemed very friendly, but not overbearing or ever hovering while we were browsing. It took us a while to make it through the store and I'm sure we didn't see everything. The selection was massive and I'm only docking the review a point because mostly everything seemed a little pricey. I'm not sure if the ornaments are imported or anything. I'm sure that could factor into the sell price.

But I talked them into letting me go through a box of gold, white and yellow, that they were just going to get rid of. I ended up buying 2 little bands, very nice, just what I was looking for. And they only charged $10 a piece for them. I felt like I got a good deal and I have always wanted to go back, just never had the chance, or extra money since then. (I still wear them, almost daily) I'm thinking about taking in a few rings I don't wear anymore, just to see how much they would give me for them. The lady said, "what is it that you aren't understanding?" in a scolding tone and then she kept giving my friend a hard time. Finally another group came in asking about patchouli and the lady was like "I have no idea what pa-what is" and started yet another uncomfortable interaction before getting rude again. I've never seen an employee be this weird in a shop. Cool shop otherwise.

I went back into his shop on Monday and he explained what the coins were worth (at market rate). He was also very upfront and transparent on his fees (which ended up being around 10%). Everything seemed reasonable so I proceeded forward. He wrote me a check and kept the silver and the transaction was complete. It couldn't have been any easier.
