I took a taxi from the airport and it'll cost you around €35-40. Side note, the city is beautiful so let your driver know you'd like to go through town (decline a tour or scenic route to prevent a higher meter fare) instead of taking the M50 tunnel. With it being right near the canal, it's also worth walking the trail in the morning for a tranquil stroll. There are more than enough eateries, cafes and pubs in the area so I didn't enjoy any food at the hotel but other reviewers have shared that it's good, so feel free to try breakfast or have a nightcap in the lounge. The only thing I'd recommend is that the front desk at least confirm who's checking in. The front desk associate didn't ask for identification and just confirmed my full name. I did complete the check-in form from their e-mail so maybe that was the only level of security they needed, not sure. Also, my preferred room wasn't ready although I'd made it clear that I had an early flight and would arrive there before check-in. To accommodate, the front desk agent walked me up to the room they did have available so I could view it and determine if it was ok or if I wanted to wait a few more hours. The room was pleasant and spacious, I believe the only difference was the layout of the bathroom which made it slightly smaller - not that major since I only planned to be in the room for sleeping - but I appreciate the gentleman showing me the room and providing the option. The water pressure and temperature was amazing, so it all worked out. Overall, I'd stay here again and would recommend it. It's reasonably priced and it's actually cheaper to book directly with the hotel.

No skin of their back if we got to room a little early if they would have let us since room was vacant . I think the cost for early check-in was outrageous. It was well-appointed with classic furnishings. The mixologists were at the top of their game. Our drinks rivaled what we've had at some of the best cocktail bars in NYC, London, Chicago, etc. The service we experienced was worldly as well. Coming here is a homage for any U2 fans because it was bought & renovated by Bono and The Edge back in '92. However, not long after our most recent visit it was sold to a hotel group. It's currently closed for expansion and remodel and I hope it maintains its historic charm and character and all things that are Ireland. Can't wait for our next trip back so we can check out the upgrades and book a few nights.

The hotel is loud, the hallways and streets in front near the river and back on the main thoroughfare are often days all days full of drunks lol. Irish people and tourists don't care. 3. Bars close at 1am! So early 4. Back door to the Main Street closes at 12am so you have to walk to the river side to knock on the main door for them to open anytime after 12am. Not safe if you split up with your crew. 5. Pay for the room with a stairstep and a little larger and better beds worth it 6. Room is modern. Flat TV on wall. Cozy twins beds. Gotta request them though and hopefully they have them. 7. Rooms are hot. They give you a fan and you can open windows but it is very loud. No AC not heater! 8. Hotel is super cute. 2 bars and 3 rooms to drink in. The restaurant is nice too. Also has an event venue on floor 1. 9. Super nice people! 10. D for is sexy trendy and modern upscale cute. Very creative vibes in lobby and bars. 11. No parking. Gotta park across the river. 12. Priced fair for location and what you get. 13. Close to everything! If you can walk a short or long ways you don't need an uber or taxi which is the same thing here. I'd come back 100%. Highly recommend this spot.

The location was perfect, it's right across the bridge from Temple Bar without the noise and traffic. Upon checking in we were greeted by the front desk personnel, she was friendly and welcoming. After traveling overnight we were elated to be given an early check-in. Our most memorable customer service experience was from Antonio, who helped us with our luggage and delivered a Happy Birthday dessert to our room. Everyday we were there Antonio was helpful and had a smile on his face. The room was clean and had everything we needed. I would recommend this hotel to travelers and would stay here again.

Friendly service.. we were greeted daily with every passing of the check in desk area. Our room was ok- happy it had a small fridge, safe, desk, complimentary water, complimentary slippers, and daily housekeeping upon request. Room didn't have any great city views- just an inner building view. Pillows were flat as pancakes! I did mention to the front desk to add more pillows to our room- orthopedic pillows were offered, but they still were flat. Oh well, just had to layer my sleeping pillows. Breakfast was decent. A beautiful room with an additional upper eating area. Buffet style, with an additional option for made to order. Servers were very friendly and accommodating. We went and looked at the bar, which was inviting, and Danielle, the bartender, tried to talk us into staying for dinner, but we had plans for the pub across the street. The room was comfortable. The bed had me sleeping light and the amenities were plentiful. I will say, though, if you're a fan of hair conditioner, bring your own as we didn't get any here. Their coffee bar included some cookies as the Irish people like to have with their tea and or coffee, different flavors of coffee and multiple teas as well as sweetener if you choose. There is a hairdryer in the room as well as an ironing board and iron. You do have to have your key inserted into the elevator, as well as in the slot in the room to keep your electricity on. There was a refrigerator in the room with a couple of bottles of water, and overall we're very happy with our stay here.

If you arrive earlier than check-in time, (or leave later than check-out) they will hold your luggage for no additional charge. The hotel decor is a bit dated but I guess this adds to the appeal. My room was spacious and comfortable and it had all the standard features including a hair dryer, tea kettle, and a fan, which will come in handy in the warmer months. I am not a fan of the double faucets in Europe as it is difficult to wash your face when you have hot and cold separate. There was an issue with the light switches and bedside lamp that the hotel was quick to come and fix, but it would have been nice to have a note by the switches that showed which switch was for which light. Very confusing turning them on and off trying to figure them out. One of the absolute best things about my stay was the shower pressure. OMG - absolutely the best shower I think I've ever had. The products in the bathroom are very good quality as well and smell amazing. There are no washcloths, but I came prepared with my own. The hotel has live music in the lounge every night and the "Celtic Nights" dance shows. I didn't see the show but I did enjoy the live music while having dinner and/or drinks a couple of nights. Our room's window was facing the street so you could hear everything that was happening outside. So if you're a light sleeper, I'd probably ask for a room farther away. It was pretty loud during Friday they Sunday nights but less loud during the weekdays. No A/C but they do supply a fan. No business area (no access to computers). Windows can be opened but there's no screen so bugs can come through. The location is good to restaurants, bars and shopping area. Near buses.
