They also put a stone border around my front beds. The company I had called to come out for the quote was subsequently purchased the following week by D Landscape keeping the same landscaper, so I went ahead with the installation. The work was done in a timely manner, and I thought done properly. The joint compound used for the flagstone was a silicon based product, and when applied properly then dampened, is supposed to set up, similar to regular mortar. I called them out to repair some spots that never set up, and they came out to repair those areas. A few days after this repair, we had an ice storm, with ice staying on the ground for several days and upon melting, more of the joint compound melted away. At this point, I requested the joint compound be replaced with regular mortar or crushed granite, since there had been 2 failed attempts, but D landscape stated that would be too labor intensive. They came back again to repair, and after a hard rain a few days later, this latest repair was the least successful to date, with almost all of the flagstone being exposed with no bonding compound at all, becoming a safety hazard and liability issue. I contacted this company in July 2023, continued my communications through August with no response. At that point, I contacted 2 of the 4 principal owners, Jared Dinardo and Tommy Cole, and two weeks later they reply they will not do any more repair work. Our yard was admittedly a big project, and it was difficult to hire someone comprehensive who was not only good at fixing the lawn (we had a few people try) but also someone who could coordinate fixing the drainage system, revamping the landscaping, and maintaining the lawn. Some of the companies we sought out were either not very responsive or reliable in doing what they promised to do. We felt like we were paying people a lot of money for a lawn that still looked poorly maintained. D Landscape was not only capable of fixing our landscaping/lawn with the services they provide but was also dependable, which was important to us especially since some of the project was time sensitive. Although the price was not cheap, D Landscape discussed the plan and price beforehand so that there were no surprises. They were willing to work with us on some modifications to the plan as well. Ryan designed our landscaping remodel and did a beautiful job. The finished product was absolutely breathtaking and transformed our house completely. I was impressed with how thoughtful he is and how seriously he takes his work. He has a lot of pride in what he does and came to the house multiple times throughout the entire project to check on the progress and make sure things were shaping up into what he had envisioned. You can tell he is invested in the happiness of the customer as well as the perfection and beauty of the outcome. He remained very communicative with us throughout the process. He even was able to push up the project by a few weeks in anticipation of the birth of our new baby, which I thought was very kind and thoughtful. The landscapers who were helping bring the project to life were also very nice and respectful. They cleaned up every day and were very reliable. D Landscape seamlessly put together a team of landscapers, irrigation/drainage experts, arborists, and lawn maintenance crew that all worked together to complete our project. It was such a relief to have them coordinate and work together as a single unit so that we didn't have to worry about finding the best help at each point in the project. The fact that D Landscape will continue to maintain our lawn is also reassuring because they were there every step of the way and now know our lawn the best.
