We were immediately greeted with a big smile from a gentleman who proudly shared that he's been working there for 23 years. He took the time to explain everything, from the teen karts (which go up to 30 mph) to the adult karts (up to 40 mph). I was impressed to learn that licensed 16-year-olds can drive the adult karts..neat and a little scary! They offer a private room, though note that private events aren't booked on weekends and reservations aren't taken. However, if it's not busy, the private room is often available. Also, any racer under 18 needs a waiver signed by a guardian 24 hours in advance. The day of the party, we arrived early since it's first-come, first-served. The ladies at the counter were friendly and set us up in the private room, which was perfect for our group of twelve 16-year-olds. The space is roomy, has AV capabilities, and features a huge window overlooking the track. There's even an order window in the room for added convenience! The food options exceeded my expectations as well--the menu is larger than I expected, and the pizzas and tater tots we ordered were pretty tasty. We'll definitely be back. Such a great experience!

They also have an extensive breakfast menu, and sell bags of ice. They also sell merch like t-shirts and hoodies. There are bleachers to watch the races from outside, and lots of indoor seating with outlets if you need to charge your phone. Family owned and operated. Staff is always super friendly. The racing scene here is unmatched. It's a great place for both kid karting and adult kart racing, and you can rent out parking spots to park your trailer as well as garage spots at the track. There are also rental karts. But you'll have to talk to the driver in the family to know more about that!!! Wonderful way to spend a weekend. This review is harsh. I'm sorry, but my experience was not very good. To give my review credibility…read moreso that you do not dismiss my review as a gripe session. I have been to 98 different race tracks and have experience driving, watching, and being a member of media. Let me start with the positive. They kept the program moving with no dead time between races. Of the tracks I have been to, this was one of the dustiest dirt tracks ever I have been to. Watering the track and tamping it down before the main feature did not help. From the fourth turn, I could not see the cars in the first turn. Fans took cover on every lap. I am used to getting dusted, but this was terrible. I had a beer, and in a few laps, I had to blow off the dust. Dust raised over the front wall like breakers at the beach. Walking under the main grandstands, you could see the dust pattern that formed through the slots in the seating. I remind you, I have been to many dirt tracks, but his was not pleasant. Concessions were not good. My friend is a Hoosier native, he ordered a tenderloin and rated it as poor. I wanted a Salisbury steak, and while on the menu, it was not available. Neither were the premium beers. My pretzel was tasteless and basically bread. Ick. Exiting the track after the main event was a joke. Only one gate was open for fans to exit. It was three feet wide, and crowds formed pushing and shoving their way through the eye of the needle. Local, frequent fans may disagree with me out of familiarity. Folks, if this is you, go see other tracks and learn how the right way is to run a dirt track. You can choose to blow me off as a grumpy old man, but think through what I said and make your own decisions. There are better run events elsewhere.

Great race track way out in the middle of no where in Indiana. I had no problems during my weekend…read morevisit for the first time in the state of Indiana at this Race Track. On Scene: Bobby Pierce won the Lucas Oil Series race here on Sunday, September 23rd, 2018. I took over 50 pictures while at this race track as you can see for this listing. I review race tracks based on the following; concession stands, view of track, facilities, parking, scoreboard, and smoking. Additionally, as an added bonus, if they have an overhead roof is a plus. A feature I haven't thought of as being important at a race track. But, it came in handy here since it was a rainy weekend. More on this later. Concession Stands: Every time I visited the concession stand, I noticed no lines or only 1 or 2 people in line. I think this is because they are fast and they have more choices to choose from. Additionally, they have more people working the concession stands. Furthermore, there were some other vendors selling food and drinks behind the concession stands. Over head roof: This race track has something other race tracks that I have been to -don't have. They have an overhead roof. I liked this, as you don't have to worry about getting sunburnt. More importantly, I didn't worry about getting rained on. Facilities: They have bathroom facilities with running water. So, you can wash your hands. Track View: I had a great seat as I noticed you could see the whole race track from just about any seat in the grandstands. It's important to see all race cars race around the oval dirt track as a race fan. Parking: I had no problems in parking. The attendant said I could park anywhere. Also, I had no problems leaving the race after the race was over. Scoreboard: This race track has a scoreboard to keep track of the top 5 drivers. I like a race track that has this feature so you can tell who the leader is at all times. Smoking: There was no problem of anyone around me smoking. Although, smoking is allowed, there wasn't too many race car fans smoking around me. Thus, I enjoyed the race without worrying about second hand smoke blowing in my direction. My Experience: I got to see Scott Bloomquist sign autographs for race car fans at his souvenir trailer. My favorite late model race car driver almost won the race here today. This Jonathan Davenport. Jonathan led most of the laps during the second half of the race. But, Bobby Pierce passed Jonathan Davenport on the last lap with about 30 feet or so to go to the finish line. What a race. It was about the best race I have seen.

To start off I will warn the faculty is cash only. Pricing it pretty reasonable for entry and…read moreconcessions. The bathrooms were pretty decent and fairly clean, was definitely not expecting it. The covered bleacher area has some questionable sections that are in need of some repair but over all they have adequate seating that is cover and newer bleachers that are uncovered. The racing action on track was great and almost none stop with the exception of track prep before the features. Compared to other tracks in southern Indiana I'd say this place was my favorite facility and has the best racing action.

There are a good amount of facilities infield and out, but race days allow in coolers with food and drink in non-glass containers. There are also a lot of entry points, so make sure to choose which one is closest to your seats and your parking for easiest ingress and egress. With all the people at the Speedway on race days, they do a great job with security, safety, and spacing of everything. Just make sure to wear your best walking shoes!

The bathrooms weren't bad as far as wait time but some stalls ran out of toilet paper. Notes - I recommend sitting higher in the bleachers cause it's you're down low it's hard to see and the cars come whipping around. The last time we were there I was in row Z. I also recommend bringing something to sit on. You can bring soft sided coolers with drinks (alcohol beverages too). This was my first time here, and has been rather a dream to come check out. LUCKILY i have some extended family that lives not far from the track. I only purchased tickets for the finals day because i didn't want to make a job out of coming for a whole week. I ended up going with the Top Eliminator Club tickets, which have a stout price, but it comes with some actual nice perks! There is a separate building you can go chill at with tons of seating and tv's everywhere to keep an eye on the action. It is an all-day event, so being able to go relax somewhere a little less loud and sit with your food is pretty nice. Outside there are tents that had I think 10 different types of drinks available free for TEC and you get breakfast in the morning which was fruit and sugary treats and then for lunch you get (1) run thru the lunch line so load up! (the wrist band has a thing they cut off) The food was pretty dang good! i figured after being in those big steamer trays for awhile all the flavor would have evaporated. It was well worth the extra cost and my wife who does not follow racing at all enjoyed the whole experience. The whole body rumble from the nitro funny cars was intense to say the least so the TEC building is a pretty cool thing to retreat to. I can't wait to do this again!

The NHRA U.S. Nationals runs here on Labor Day weekend each year. It's the biggest, the longest and most historic drag racing event in the world. We always enjoy seeing the Pro Stocks, Funny Cars, Mototcycles, Alcohol Dragsters and Top Fuel Dragsters on the well maintained track. In 2008, NHRA shorten the distance of the Funny Car and Top Fuel Dragster car races to 1,000 feet from the standard quarter-mile for safety reasons. Acres of parking including ADA parking along with camping is available. There really isn't a bad seat in the stands but I always recommend purchasing reserved seating in the grandstands. I prefer to sit in section BB and fairly high up. Yes, you'll smell like nitro but hopefully the wind is blowing the smoke away from your seat. Oh, and earplugs or ear protectors are highly recommended as the cars are LOUD! Rain delayed the 2022 festivities on Saturday when we were there but after the track was dry, around 2:00, it was back-to-back racing the remainder of the day. Shortly after announcements started a sky driver floated down carrying a briefcase with $80,000 prize money for the Pep Boys NHRA Top Fuel All-Star Callout Speciality Race with Steve Torrence winning the prize money. The other exciting run on Saturday was Justin Ashley in a Top Fuel Dragster who broke the track record with 335.032 but Brittany Force broke Ashley's new record on Sunday with 337.75.

I got this experience for my husband for his birthday. We've been waiting months for the day to…read morecome around. I first saw this as an ad on Facebook for The Xtreme Xperience, I was very skeptical, it was a lot of money. I don't trust Facebook ads since I've been screwed by a couple companies. I did a lot of on line research and found out this was a legit company, i was still apprehensive. They have you sign waver after waver, on line in person and online again. We went to Putnam Park Road Course. Please use you GPS, Google Maps or Waze. The address we had took us to a side gravel road. Being able to see it on the map I was able to go to the next cross road and turn right a coupe times and we were there. At the gate we signed a paper waver. Already did one waver on line. After the gate we parked and had to scan a QR Code to sign another waver and get wrist bands and lanyards and a USB thumb drive ( more on that ). Husband went to a safety training class for about 20 to 30 minutes. After that it was time to line up for his ride along. He did the ride along around the course i think twice. He totally enjoyed that. Then on to another line for his car. He is a big guy so I reserved him one of the few vehicles that would accommodate his size and height plus the helmet. If you don't fit in the car you don't get a refund. Read all the rules there are very few and exact reasons you might ( might ) get a refund but it is unlikely. Even bad weather doesn't count. He was in a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. He had a blast driving. He was actually a bit more apprehensive then I thought he'd be. I am always telling him to slowdown when he drives. i had no desire to do this it was all for him. He said the program was very good. Everyone was helpful and courteous. No issues. When you are done you go to a tent and they plug in your USB Thumb drive so you can see the video. I thought the Video was included, it was not it was another 65$ but you pretty much gotta have it. I also got him a T-shirt it was 30$ while he was in the class. Worth it because he was so happy.
