Glow in the dark skating rink.
    Rayshon H.

My friend rented out Roller City for her private birthday party and I really enjoyed it. We had the place to ourselves for two hours which was nice especially during COVID-19, so we were able to social distance. The skating rink looked very up to date and clean. The skates are better than the old school brown, beat down skates lol. The only issue is the sizing was a little off and since they are newer, they needed more breaking in. The size of the rink was a little small, but I did not mind that. The glow in the dark was very fun and went with the theme of my friend's party. This was an adult party, but I would definitely return and bring my kids. They also have arcade games that I think my son would enjoy.

This is the smallest rink in Indy, but the newest. Roller City definitely has a different flavor from other skating rinks. We visited for the first time on. a Friday and brought our own skates. Admission was $5 without a skate rental, and Friday hours were 7-11, which is later than many other skating rinks. This is the in the top 2 cleanest skating rinks I have visited and has hands down the best bathrooms. Since it was created in 2017 everything is new: the bathrooms, the carpet, the tables, the video games m, everything. The rink was super dark, which was fun. The carpet and the mini golf really popped under the black lights. They have the largest selection of arcade games for tickets. They have indoor mini golf and bounce houses if you pay a couple extra dollars for unlimited golf and skating. The snack bar area is reasonably priced and well cared for by an older adult who kept it very clean, not a teenager like at other rinks. The staff overall was pleasant and very attentive. The DJ made sure the kids were skating safely and those who skates unsafely were asked to stop. There was a woman cleaning tables and vacuuming, which is a first that I've seen in a skating rink. Things that would make this a five star review: The skating floor itself is the smallest in town The skating floor is too slick and could use some grip

Due to a drink spilled on the floor in the snack area with NO wet floor sign, i fell and broke BOTH of my wrists! Then, I had to drive my child home before attempting to drive MYSELF to the ER, which was almost 30 min away. Absolutely NOTHING was done about this, other than receiving ONE text message. I wish that ZERO stars was an option, The owner wouldn't call me back. I missed several days of work, as well as incurring some astronomical hospital and surgery bills, having 2 surgeries on one wrist and casts on BOTH = not very convenient for an American Sign Language Interpreter to say the least. Stay away from this establishment until they have a safety update.

It looked like a nicely kept rink, has great reviews, and also has a fantastic birthday package. On the day of our party, I realized they had several birthday parties booked. However, I quickly learned how extremely organized and efficient they are. There was not a single thing that I had to do, other than skate and have a good time with our party of friends and family. Our guests were instructed to check their gifts in at the concession stand, and they put them all into a giant tote and put them back for safe keeping. I was told what time they would announce her birthday on the floor and bring her cake out to sing Happy Birthday. From there, they led us back to where our tables were set with plates, sodas, napkins, and forks. When everyone had gathered, they brought out the pizzas with spatulas so we could serve ourselves. I noticed them cutting up the cake and plating it as we enjoyed our pizza. As they served us each slices of cake, I was told to let them know when we were ready for gifts and they would bring them out. When we were all finished, they were happy to put her gifts in the back again so I could skate and retrieve the presents when we left. This is a clean and very well-kept skating rink. The rental skates are in good shape, and they're happy to help you with tightening or loosening wheels. Even the bathrooms were clean and well kept. I wish I had taken more photos for my review, but we were having so much fun, I completely forgot. Sorry Yelpers! You'll just have to go and experience this one for yourselves!

I admit that it has been a number of years since I've been to the Stare Fair, so I was surprised by all the updates and building expansion. The remodeled swine barn could be featured in House Beautiful. The building is spacious, immaculate and super functional. It's an amazing state of the art facility. My granddaughters loved seeing the mother and baby pigs. The $2 specials on Fair food gave us a chance to taste many different Fair delectable. The Key Lime shakes at the dairy barn were a big hit with us. The girls also had the mini funnel cakes, which they loved. We tried the hand cut fries, which were delicious. I wanted to try more foods, but there was so much to do and see, that we just didn't have time. The kids enjoyed petting and feeding the sheep and goats in the FFA building. There were many educational activities for them. We rode the Sky Ride that ran over the Midway. The relaxing ride offered great views of the fair. We purchased tickets for rides for the kids. There was special pricing for all the rides for $2 Tuesday. The kids rode about six rides for $30, and we all enjoyed the Ferris Wheel as a family. The day wasn't without a couple issues. The Midway lost power for 20 minutes, just as the rides were getting started. The kids were antsy, but we weathered the wait. My granddaughter also got injured on a large slide/ride. She came down the slide and went airborne a bit, bruising both elbows on landing. I think they should shut that ride down. I also would have liked to see more shaded seating. The afternoon got hot! I never did find restrooms. We always love taking a trip on the tractor train around the grounds. I loved that the hostess on the train pointed out features of each stop. We got in one trip before the Fair got too crowded that there were no seats. Entry was only $2 on Tuesday, compared to $16 for other days. A family should expect to spend well over $100 to visit the Fair, including $10 parking. We got there very early and got a great parking space. Getting through security was fast early in the morning. Exiting the parking lot was easy as well. While we didn't get to see everything we wanted, we had a memorable visit for our granddaughters. The facilities are top notch.

Arrive as early as you can on your chosen day between Thanksgiving and Christmas. In the years I've gone to the Markt, the service is always friendly and the food stalls are usually pretty quick about it, or as best they can be with the given volume of foot traffic. There's tons of food, ranging from classic bratwursts to the more Americanized options like pizza and waffles and then to the more adventurous sauerkraut and mushrooms! There's plenty of vegetarian options too - I really like the hot noodles with cheese (casespaetzle) and the spiral-cut potato on a stick! Let me try to list out all the things I've tried at the Markt this past year, and just rate by a simple pick (yes, you should try it) or pitch (not really worth it if you want guaranteed flavor) - Doner kebab: PICK - Walking waffle: pitch - Belgian hot chocolate: pick (it's expensive though, $11 in 2025) - Peppermint hot chocolate: pick - Sautéed mushrooms and sauerkraut: pitch - Kielbasa: pick - Hot noodles with cheese: pick - Spiral potato on a stick: pick - Chimney cake: pitch It's all great food but can be slightly expensive. There are definitely plenty of things that are under $10 if you look, and usually the vegetarian options are around that price. The stalls/huts are all very scenic with a cabin-like design, so the market is very charming. Each hut also has a German trivia sign on it. My favorite huts are the loose leaf teas and the German candies/treats. There's also a ton of handmade stuff like beer steins that would make excellent Christmas gifts. Christkindlmarkt is hugely popular for many reasons: food, atmosphere, ice skating, and maybe even the collectible boot mugs! The design changes every year, and they're only $8 so it's also a nice souvenir.

The bumper cars are more like CrAzY cars, they don't always go in the direction you want them to... I'm not sure if that's on purpose or not but it made for some pretty hilarious videos! I pre purchased our tickets online, you can choose your day/time slot and it's $5 per person... when you arrive and check-in you're given a colored wrist band(every hour is a different color), then you wait in line for your turn on the ice. Once on the ice you bump and slide into other bumper cars for 5 min and then return to the end of the line... during our hour we had three turns on the ice. We did allow a few people to go ahead of us a few times so that we could all be on the ice at the same time, so if you have a smaller group you may have more turns on the ice than we did. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because during our hour random parts kept appearing on the ice: screws, brackets... they didn't pause to inspect the cars and during our last ride the motor fell off the bottom of the car my sister was in... This was something none of us had done before and was a lot fun! I'd definitely go again!!

I've been here several times, and the bowling alley is always going strong. This time I went on a Sunday night, which seems to be my favorite. The idea was to play in the arcade and have a birthday dinner there. It was less than ideal, and the friendliness of the staff is what made the night somewhat of a success. The bumper car area was empty. I have never seen anyone use them. The skating rink had a couple of people on it. The arcade area seems like it could use more. There are a few ways to earn tickets, and a few games. Some you see in nearly every arcade, like the Jurassic Park one. I wouldn't mind seeing some pinball in here. That would get me in more regularly. We had a few hitches, most of which were addressed quickly. The air hockey table did not give us a puck. After a bit of waiting, a guy came out and gave us one. I noticed the black lights were out on both tables. They have a giant claw to try and grab the big rings of tickets. One of the workers refilled the machine, and after one play we got an error that wouldn't let us play. That was fixed quickly. Almost everything was working, which was nice to see, but I'd like more of it. I grew up in arcades, so even though things have changed, there is a feeling of nostalgia. Bring in some pinball games and let's complete it! To end the night we actually went to BK. I'm not even sure why. I think in the past I just didn't find the food here enjoyable, so I was kind of reluctant to try again. So 3 stars for the arcade experience and +1 for the employees.
