I took my car to Harold and received it back with the EXACT same issues then i paid him 1200$ cash money just to get my car back and later that same day after getting my car back paying 1200$ I break down in auto zone parking lot on Macon rd then my hood on my car breaks the same exact day like it only opened 1 time after me getting my car back i call and tell this guy Harold he tell me to put it back on a machine and get a ticket basically charging me more money to do absolutely NOTHING like he did the first time after taking my 1200$ i have 8 kids i bought that car to take my kids to summer activities and you rip me off but I've hired a attorney and going more further with this because this isn't fair at all in no kind of way. Do NOT bring your vehicle here. My mother almost lost her life after taking her vehicle here. She heard some noise in the front of her car and thought this location could be trusted... After waiting two hours, she was told that they didn't hear anything and that it could be the C joint in the car which didn't have too much to do with the issue she was even speaking about. She was told the vehicle was okay to drive, 2 days later she got into a horrible car accident and her front left tire flew off to the side of the highway. Apparently the lug-nuts were loose, but this automotive center is claiming they never touched the tires for the 2 hours that they had the vehicle. Clearly if this is the case, this place has horrible time management and is extremely incompetent. I will be sure to tell everyone about this experience because this place does not have trusted practices. read more

White's LIED & said I needed a $800 water pump. Come to find out when I took it somewhere else it was a $20 part for a thermostat. About 6 mths prior I had my timing belt & water pump replaced so I knew there was no way it had broken again. White's CAN NOT be trusted. read more

"Your trust is our top concern". Don't fall for that nonsense. About an hour ago, the owner of the shop told me he didn't trust me, in fact. he said "I don't trust anybody," and that is DIRECT QUOTE. Wow! His shop changed the oil on my BMW, and didn't put an oil filter in the filter canaster on the top of the motor. A mechanic at another shop discovered this when I took it to them for something totally unrelated to the service (White's) had done about 1500 miles prior. I took my car to another shop because I believed, and still do that, in some cases, their expertise is not enough to go (deep) into a motor to fix a complex problem. I guess I was right. if they can't even remember to install an oil filter. I had pictures and comments from the other shop. He never offered to take a look at the photos or talk to the other mechanic or bring my car to his shop to fix it or even look at it. Instead....He wanted to INVESTIGATE. I didn't hear a thing for the better part of a week, while my motor lay in pieces on the ground waiting word. So I had the other shop fix his mistake and when I brought the bill to him he said "I'm not paying that bill. You should have brought it to me and I would have fixed it. He knew where the car was. He knew what the problem was, and never made any effort to get the car. It was only after I presented him with a bill that he told me I should have brought my car back to him. My car was not drivable and he has flat bed wrecker HENEVER OFFERED TO GO GET MY CAR....As he said "That other shop's about a mile from here. He knew about the problem, and did nothing about it. These guys are great. I have a MINI Cooper and it's not easy trying to find someone who will work on them without driving to Atlanta. I had an oil leak that they fixed at a very reasonable price with a fast turn-around time. Next time I went in, I asked them to replace the exhaust system (an upgrade where I supplied my own exhaust). Two hours later - Boom! new exhaust. I would definitely recommend this place - especially to all of you MINI owners in Columbus. read more

You know those sleazy, scumbag mechanics you see in TV shows and movies that try to rip their customers off. Well, you wish you were dealing with those kinds of mechanics after dealing the so-called automotive mechanical experts at White's Automotive Center. Took my 2007 Mazda 3 down due to a service engine light and automatic transmission issue. Spent up to $700 on it, they kept my car for up to 2 weeks and the only communication I had was when I called to check the status of my vehicle with generic messages of "It's being looked at.", when I picked it up the issue was not fixed. AT ALL. When I explained this to them. Did I get any compensation? Nope, none at all. The mechanic told me that the best they would be willing to do is a free diagnostic to determine what is causing the issue but, I'm still required to come out of pocket to pay for any additional repairs, parts, and labor to fix the issue. Then what was the $700 I paid White's for? For them to sit around with thumbs up their butts and blow smoke up my ass. Avoid giving these guys your money and time. All they care about is taking your money, very poor customer service skills, I doubt they have any automotive skills to work on current model vehicles. All I can say is that I've had nothing but frustration when dealing with these guys and I will not recommend them to anyone. Avoid, please, please do not see these guys for your vehicle repairs and needs. You can go elsewhere and get better. read more

I told you I understood your process and you KEPT cutting me off being RUDE! My FIRST AND LAST time renting from White's Automotive SIMPLY bc of YOU! All the other ladies in the office are nice And you, BAD APPLE, spoil it for the WHOLE BUSINESS! I NEVER once got rude with you on the phone bc I too ma'am work in customer service but UNLIKE you I listen and don't OVER TALK my customers! Been coming to White's for almost 10 years. They received plenty business from minor to large mechanical repairs (Financially) The next to last visit was to diagnose the AC system, Oil and filter change and possibly new tires. The more her dug, the more he found, so naturally the cost of repairs went up. After the oil change the car suddenly was "Smoking" and NOW it needs a new motor and of course like most Auto shop, in order to make money they find more issues with the car instead of repairing what you came in for. So further work was cancelled. So when you come in there you're going to leave there with a bigger bill than was "quoted" and then they claim they didn't say that. That's why I have notes of the conversations and by the way my recorder was pressed by accident. The last visit with another one of cars was a diagnosis to determined "What" caused the engine failure...still didn't get that answer of "Why" the engine failure except for what he determined what was the damage. And of course again this vehicle needs a new engine...NOT the one furnished by the Warranty company but the top of the line engine which is a two thousand dollar difference between the two and it took 16 days to diagnose with myself calling to get updates throughout the whole 16 days. They called me back ONCE. 1. They didn't want to do the work because the profit margin is lower and the remanufactured engine will make them more money. Other shops had gave me options and not one option but several options instead of going with one option at the most expensive. You have have Warranty work, Don't go to White's because the warranty company goes with most logical choice and the Auto goes with the most expensive choice. After 10 years I will NOT bring any further business to White's and will be sure to tell my friends there are more honest shops that would be happy to take your business without worrying about their profits and worry more about what the customers need!! read more

I put my foreign car in this shop a few months ago and if you are looking for skill, It was present, but the price changed from what was origially quoted and what was disappointing was the spouse sitting at the desk took over the conversation as I discussed the price increase with the male owner after the work was completed. The tone was intimidating and confrontative. I was disappointed because I took my cars there years ago and customer service was great. It was different owners then. read more
