Ed Saccomanno, Owner of Living Water Home Improvement, did, in fact, return to our home to address two (short) lengths of vinyl siding that had come loose over the past several years. We had some difficulty having this done earlier due to scheduling issues. Ed, as indicated earlier, is a man of his word, and, using his 30 foot ladder, snapped into place, two short lengths of siding that had become detached from the adjacent lengths. These two pieces of siding are located just beneath the roof line of our home on either side, much too high for me as the home owner, to safely address. Again, Living Water Home Improvement furnished and installed all new vinyl siding on our home including, cladding, where needed, shutters, vents, architectural details, gutters and downspouts. Ed worked closely with us when we were given the opportunity to choose siding and trim details including various styles, finishes, and colors. Although our project was completed several years ago, Ed and Living Water are highly recommended should your home require his services.

In the past two months we have hired Juan and his team to do two projects for us…read more The first was to place our pipe leading outside from the basement's sump pump underground so it wasn't leaking into our driveway. The team came out and handled this within one day. It was done well and so far - no issues! The second thing we asked of them was to install a fence. Not only did they give us a fair price in relation to other estimates we received but he worked with us in choosing a fence that would be cost effective and helped us make decisions on the look of it. His team finished this in a week and came every day early morning to begin working in sweltering heat. The final product looks beautiful and I can only believe it will last for years to come. It was no small feat as there were several trees and tree stumps in the way of the fence install but the final product is BEAUTIFUL. From start to finish Juan was responsive to my questions and always available to answer anything or address my concerns. The estimate that he gave me at the beginning was the exact price we paid at the end. There were NO hidden fees. I highly recommend John Bros and Juan for all of your landscaping/construction needs. After working with another landscaper last year, Greenland Construction, we noticed that our patio was poorly constructed, the columns with lights in them started tilting & the pavers were sloping down! It was dangerous & looked so sloppy. This is merely 7 months after the patio was built. Also, it was a pain to work with Greenland because they kept missing deadlines & miscommuncating what was happening on our property. So frustrating! Anyway we reached out to Juan/John Bro's and he saved the day. He had his crew remove the pavers & columns & redo all parts that were sloping. He set the pavers properly like they should've been in the first place. He also added a railing for safety around the patio along with a gate & stair rails. We loved how his crew made sure to respect our property, never leaving trash around, they cleaned up after themselves every day. Fast forward to Wednesday at 9:40AM - No one ever showed and when I called I wasn't given any sort of explanation or apology by the receptionist. Just a simple "can we schedule for another time". When I further probed, is when she finally offered some version of an apology and told me she didn't see me on schedule. Why would I want to purchase a high ticket service from a company who can't follow through on simple appointments or offer any sort of decent customer service? Highly disappointed especially given the good reviews and the fact that I stayed home from work for this!!!!

I have such mixed feelings about All County. After years of a recurring damp spot in my basement, I…read morefinally determined that French drains were the most likely solution. After several estimates, I landed on All County. I recommend them, but with some major reservations, and here are the deets: Sales: very responsive (naturally! They want your business.), and thorough with answering questions and explaining the process. Price: competitive with all the other estimates I got. Project: this is where things start to get dicey. Guys showed up on time. No project leader, just the workers. Language barriers made communication tricky at times. This was problematic as the salesman had described a certain construction approach, but these guys were doing something else. I had to call the salesman a couple of times during construction for clarification or for him to speak with the workers. That should have been a red flag. Also, this work was done in winter, and although it seems like common sense in hindsight, no one told me to turn off the central forced air heat. A fine layer of dust coated everything in my home (and some of the flooring they dug up in the basement to install the French drain was asbestos tile...ugh). How could they not ensure the heat was off before starting such a messy project?! Afterwards Part 1: I began getting water in areas of my basement I'd never had water before (although the original damp area, which had prompted me to install French drains in the first place, remained dry). I had to call the salesman several times in the weeks and months that followed. To his credit, he was always very responsive, although he couldn't understand or explain what was going on. After several months of repeated calls and visits, they finally decided to dig up the flooring in the area where I was getting the most water. Again, workers showed up with no project leader and a major language barrier. What they uncovered was incredibly suspicious to me: there was a quarter-sized hole in the main sewer pipe (that pipe was jutting out of my basement floor in an area that had been dug up to install the drains and was located in the area where water would occasionally mysteriously appear). The workers showed it to me, and it was evident "someone" had accidentally punctured the pipe and tried to repair it by gluing a bent metal piece over the hole. The guys cemented it up with waterproof cement and repaired the area of the floor they'd dug up. The alternative would have been to replace the entire pipe for mega $$$$, which I refused to do since they assured me their fix should be adequate. They did not charge me for this work, and rightfully so. Afterwards Part 2: I was having a final inspection for a new furnace that had been installed four years ago (yes, my town was late to the party!). The furnace was fine, but the inspector found a huge crack in one of the vents coming out of the furnace. The ductwork was tucked away in a corner area behind the furnace that's tight and not easy to get to, an area where no one would ever go...unless you were installing French drains and needed to access the entire perimeter of my basement! The inspector said the crack meant that the furnace was just blowing carbon monoxide back into my home(!). I had to get that repaired at my expense. Since the furnace was only four years old and everything was on good order except the crack, it was obvious it had been damaged (as opposed to a defect due to age). Of course, there's no evidence either of these damages were caused by All County. However, both were issues that didn't arise until AFTER they installed the drains. And both were problems that were located in areas of my basement that only they had been in or had access to. At the end of the day, it would seem the water issue was addressed. However, the French drains cost me much more than just French drains when all was said and done. If you use All County, proceed with caution.

I called a few concrete companies to replace the concrete and Eddie from Jen-El Construction was the first person to arrive. We decided to use Jenel because they had replaced the sidewalks throughout our neighborhood and they did excellent work then. we had a good feeling from Eddie. He said we wouldn't have to wait too long. He also gave us what seemed like a great price. (We had other estimates lined up for the next week and we kept those appointments anyway, just in case.) We also needed two sidewalk slabs & had 2 basement window wells that came out way too far and made it hard to walk between the side of the house and a neighbor's fence. Eddie suggested narrowing them and filling them with drainage stones. He was the first to give us an estimate and the best price. Right from the get-go, we could tell we were going to go with Jen-El. We got the other estimates anyway, just in case, but there really was no need. Eddie is great--he's a man of his word and communicated with us so we always knew when the crew was coming and what to expect. He and all his crew worked like a well-oiled machine! Our job was done perfectly in 2 days. (Also, while all the other contractors we had called said there would be a 4 to 8 week delay due to covid , Jen-El got the job done within 11 days of our first contact with Eddie. We're perfectly happy with their work and it was a pleasure to do business with them. Eddie and the whole crew are nice, hard working, wonderful people!

In September, I hired them to tack shingles down on my roof. There was poor communication about when the work would be done. When the agreed upon day came, they did not show up. I called and emailed to confirm and Claudio said that the guys would be there at 9. It was already 10:30am at that point. I had to go to work and clearly requested via email that they not complete any work unless I was at home- I did not receive a response to this email and called to follow up. After hours of no communication, I was told that they would come another day. I was already frustrated at this point, but needed the work done. Finally, the day came and when Claudio showed up, he was by himself. I asked if he was going to complete the work by himself because the roof is pretty large. He told me that the guys had already come to do it on the first day (where I had to contact them and was told they'd be there at 9am). He was there for my payment. He insisted they came that day, but it isn't true. I was there myself and I think I would've known if someone was on my roof. Furthermore, even when I left to go to work, I have cameras on every side of the house. I was watching the surveillance and no one showed up. I paid him, because I don't believe in cheating people out of earned money, but after my insurance company came back to inspect them roof, it is clear that no work was done. Or was not done to completion (if I'm being generous). Stay away from this company. I've contacted them to have them come back and finish (or start) the work and have been met with voicemails and unanswered emails. I will be contacting the BBB, because this is unacceptable.

We had Sonnie and his crew build a laundry room closet in our basement. Thought it would be a…read morepretty quick process, as he told us a week to two to finish. Needless to say, it took over a month for it to be completed. One of his guys didn't show up for a whole week and since he didn't show, the crew didn't come. The crew ran the plumbing for the washer and dryer off of existing plumbing that is operated by a sump pump ejector. While installing, someone must have dropped a rag or towel in the pump. Our pump stopped functioning and our bathroom and sump pump room flooded 3 times. First I contacted Sonnie and didn't hear from him then I called a plumber who didn't want anything to do with it since it was a rebuild. He figured out the GFI was tripping where the pump was plugged into, so he recommended an electrician. He also recommended buying a water alarm to help prevent flooding, again. The electrician came out and installed a new GFI. So, we tried to contact Sonnie again. We didn't receive a response, then he said he would come out on the following weekend. I needed a washer and dryer and I was afraid of flooding again. So, I called another handyman to fix Sonnie's mistake, which cost another 500$. When my handyman took the pump to get fixed, they said that there was a cloth of some sort wrapped up in motor. That was why it wasn't operating correctly. Luckily, they found that and the sump pump is fixed. Sonnie and his crew did complete additional work. They installed some outdoor lighting and installed a new track with rollers on closet doors. The doors aren't working right again, as they are off the track. Sonnie originally quoted us 2000$ for the laundry room. Then his 1st written estimate was 3750$ with a 350$ "special discount", totally 3400$. His second estimate was 2475 plus 550$ for additional lighting and 400$ for piping. We ended up paying the second estimate of 3225$. Sonnie and his crew were very nice and cooperative, but a remodeling business can not be ran alone on being nice and cooperative.

When the new contractor took out the bathroom saddle to fix it, he found that the grout used for it was the wrong kind. I'll keep you updated on more errors as we find them.
