I called to have an estimate done for the trim on my house that has openings and the squirrels and going in. He asked me to send him pictures of the issues and came by on a Saturday. I waited till Wednesday to send A message of an estimate no response. I then called him Friday left a message again no response. Again texted him Saturday March 11th, letting him know if he is going to do the job or not that to please respond either way so that I will start looking for someone else. The message was read and once again NO response that is NOT a way to run a business ignoring a potential customer. Bottom line if the job is too small for you just say so, Don't read and ignore me that is NOT a way to run a business! read more

This review is a follow-up to an earlier one wherein we were unable to schedule a return visit for correcting a vinyl siding concern at our home. Ed Saccomanno, Owner of Living Water Home Improvement, did, in fact, return to our home to address two (short) lengths of vinyl siding that had come loose over the past several years. We had some difficulty having this done earlier due to scheduling issues. Ed, as indicated earlier, is a man of his word, and, using his 30 foot ladder, snapped into place, two short lengths of siding that had become detached from the adjacent lengths. These two pieces of siding are located just beneath the roof line of our home on either side, much too high for me as the home owner, to safely address. Again, Living Water Home Improvement furnished and installed all new vinyl siding on our home including, cladding, where needed, shutters, vents, architectural details, gutters and downspouts. Ed worked closely with us when we were given the opportunity to choose siding and trim details including various styles, finishes, and colors. Although our project was completed several years ago, Ed and Living Water are highly recommended should your home require his services. read more

Lets start with he speaks to you in a condescending manner. My job was too little for him to care enough to show up when he said he would. A no show without even the courtesy of a call or text or even an apology!!. Doesn't respond to calls or texts. When he did show it was like I was inconveniencing him!! And then perceives to tell me he wasnt even going to come cause he had bigger jobs! Wanted $350 for 15 minutes of slapping roofing cement to what he "thinks" is the problem and this is after leaving me hanging for an entire day as no show!Very arrogant... surprised being he claims to be a Christian based company. Wonder how he stays in business! Guess he has bigger jobs to tend to. GOOD LUCK! read more

This review is based off our recent experience with Living Water Home Imp. We had our entire roof replaced by them approx. 3 yrs ago, all was fine. My husband dealt with (the owner), liked him, had no complaints regarding the payment structure, timeliness of work or quality. Fast forward to one month ago, we're renovating the interior of our home. We contacted LWHI to return and patch three holes in the roof created from the removal of existing fireplaces and to replace two existing skylights. We had purchased the skylights and flashing kits prior to, so all was ready to go. We agreed on a price and that LWHI would start the job the first week of Nov. It ended up raining the day they were due to start so the job was postponed by LWHI to the following week. My husband contacted them to square away that date, it was agreed upon and so we expected to see them that following week. LWHI did not show up that following week. My husband reached out again, twice. A third date was chosen - now into the third week of Nov. (keep in mind, we had to postpone other portions of the work that were relying on the piping removal/roofing repair to be completed so that their portion could move along) Third week in Nov. comes, this time we had to postpone the date due to an inspection scheduling conflict, I'm not holding this against LWHI, they were accommodating regarding the scheduling conflict. It was agreed that LWHI would come the day after Thanksgiving, a Friday. This brings us to Thanksgiving Day week, my husband calls Wednesday to confirm for that Friday, leaves a message. The other workers were finishing as much prep as they can so that the roofer, who is scheduled to come that Friday, can do his part. So that they can, finally, move along for the following week. Friday comes... roofer does NOT show. My husband calls once, twice, three times. Leaves messages. No answer. Later Firday evening, around 8-830ish, we received a missed call from the roofer with no voicemail left. It was almost 930pm when we saw the missed call. My husband returned the cal the next morning around 845am, and left a voicemail asking LWHI to respond and let us know if they are too busy to take on the job they'd agreed to four weeks ago, and to please call us back. We still have not received a return call from them almost 48 hrs later. We would have appreciated if LWHI had been upfront about 1) not wanting to take the job, or 2) not having the availability to take the job. Either one of those responses would have been fine, it would have saved us extensive wasted time in our project and we could have hired another company who would have followed through. We're disappointed with this outcome considering we have done business with LWHI previously. read more

Called multiple times to get a quote on siding repair. I saw them pull up once and they immediately pulled away. I can only assume the project was too small to be worth their time, but it would have been nice for them to be upfront about it. Maybe they are good, but I'll never recommend them to anyone because of this experience. read more

As a property manager in Upper Montclair, the LLs hired Living Water to repair, replace many roofs. Never a problem, complaint, etc. their clean-up was always neat and timely. If a roof needed repair, they repaired it. If it needed replacement, they replaced it. None of the gloom and doom other roofers threatened, like it can't be repaired, have to rip the whole thing off, etc. One joker said repair was like "putting a clean diaper over a dirty diaper"! At my home, I asked them to replace the roof and build a deck off my back entrance. . .BOTH projects were completed within 5 days. The roof looks great and the deck is beautiful. The men worked hard, long days In terrible heat. Very congenial and polite. After dealing with Living Water for over 12 years, I highly recommend them to anyone who wants an excellent job at a reasonable price. read more

Worst experience I ever had with a contractor (and I've had a few bad ones). It took him months to get me the information for the warranty, and I think it was inaccurate anyway. After this job, I wound up with $1200 in damage on my porch roof. 1. Wanted me to pay the dumpster guy and supplier directly, instead of paying him - what was this all about? 2. Left tons of wood sitting on my lawn for weeks - why? Did he order more wood than he could use, or did he just not choose not to use that wood on my house? Didn't I pay for this wood? Shouldn't it have been used on my house? I never got an answer on this. 3. Wanted to get paid the balance BEFORE inspection - became very aggressive about this. I told him "this is what it says on your contract" and I checked with another roofer who confirmed that this is standard practice. I had actually paid him more up front than I was contracted to do. The inspection was a rush job, since my back porch roof was damaged. 4. Left me with $1200 worth of damage on my back porch roof. I am hiring another roofer to fix the damage because I have completely lost confidence in this roofer. I had no damage on my roof, I only replaced it to get it "up to code" for insurance companies and so that I can sell the house. 5. I was concerned about temperatures on my third floor, he said that this new roof would lower those hot temperatures, I think it raised them. It's hotter and stuffier than ever on my third floor. Also damaged my gutters and never really fixed them. My advice is FIND ANOTHER CONTRACTOR. He will offer you the cheapest price, but you get what you pay for. I wish I had hired someone else. read more

I would like to give zero stars .... Approximately a year ago I had a roof repair completed by this company. The shingles on my roof needed to be repaired again. Living Water did the original repair work . When Ed first came to my home he surveyed my roof and gave me numerous estimates for things on my roof that were not necessary. I showed him what needed to be done. He completed the job and shocked that I paid him immediately. Now the same shingles his employees repaired have fallen off my roof. I called Ed on 6/24/21 and explained my dilemma . I asked when would be able to survey my roof. He stated that he did remember me. However, he stated in sum and substance, he would come maybe today or maybe tomorrow. I told him to call me before he came over and he stated he would. Four days later I never heard from Ed the owner of the company . I called him again 6/28/21 and asked him if he could come over and look at my roof. It was the same area that they originally repaired . Again, he said maybe today maybe tomorrow. I needed reassurance of when he could come. So , I stated to him would he come that day because I would have someone home to speak with him or was he not coming . He said I was putting words in his mouth. He asked if I wanted him to get into a car accident on his way to my home. I found that statement to be bizarre and very unprofessional. It appears he was not interested in my job because it was a small job. This business owner is unprofessional and did not warrant my second call. I will not recommend Living Water Roofing to anyone in my community or the State of New Jersey. read more

We just had the best experience with Eddie and team. They completed our roof and garage in 3 days. The guys worked very long hours and were extremely courteous to my family. They were also very sweet to my son who loved watching and waving to them! Our roof was leaking pretty bad and they even came out and patched it for us to hold us over until he could start! Eddie, owner of LWHI, is an honest, hardworking, family man who will do his best to see that you get the work done right, We had a "remove and totally replace" roof job done by him and he has stood by the work when two non-emergency repairs were necessary due to weather-related events. If you do not need a new roof, he will be honest and tell you so and you can call him back when the time comes for a new one. My son had an emergency leak situation and Eddie came right away to help solve the problem (he had not done the original roof). In non-emergency situations, work with Eddie and be clear as to what the problem is, what your/his schedule is and exactly what you want him to do on the property. He is a busy man. Communication is so very important when dealing with any contractor. He knows the business, especially roofing, and has been at it for a good number of years. Living Water Roofing is seen often in my neighborhood. I cannot vouch for his work with siding or windows. read more
