While waiting, I noticed two local things - the stage for the ECU Pirate Radio show, which airs live at this location on Mondays, and just a few tables away from me WNCT's Sportscaster legend Brian Bailey! The vodka tonics were nothing special- did have to ask for lime in my second- but they were cold and refreshing. Reasonably priced and friendly service with classic American grill fare- Applebee's is a of course a go to dining option. This particular location does seem to be understaffed and the service was slow- although our young waitress was working hard and friendly- I still must deliver a three star verdict.

Despite previous negative experiences, I continued to give the restaurant opportunities to improve. During each visit, I have experienced a consistent lack of attentiveness from staff and management. On several occasions while picking up curbside orders, I waited inside for extended periods as employees and managers passed by, acknowledging me only to say, "Someone will be with you shortly," without providing assistance. Most recently, I placed a takeout order that included a dessert with ice cream. I arrived promptly and saw my order on the pickup shelf. Because the sign instructed customers not to remove orders, I waited for assistance. Despite standing there for about ten minutes, multiple employees and a manager walked past, assuring me someone would help, but no one did. By the time I received my order, the ice cream had completely melted. As a Chef Manager in the food service industry, I understand the challenges of staffing and retention. However, basic guest acknowledgment, attentiveness, and follow-through are fundamental service expectations. The repeated lack of urgency and customer care at this location is disappointing and suggests a need for better training and stronger management oversight. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as there are clear opportunities to improve customer service and the overall guest experience. Changes are needed to ensure customers feel valued and receive the service they expect.

We've ordered party trays of ribs for holidays, and they're delicious and a good money deal. The waitstaff are wonderful, and the restaurant is easily accessible if you're disabled. I use a wheelchair and have never had trouble maneuvering through the store. Some restaurants actually try to seat me in the back or near a noisy kitchen because they consider wheelchair users "in the way." Chili's has never done this to me. Staff have been VERY nice about moving chairs or tables around if necessary. Highly recommend!
