The hidden gem of Geneva! No need to search around trying to find the best massage money can by...Jennifer is the best, hands down! I have been worked on by a few different massage therapists over the years, and while they weren't necessarily bad, it felt like I would receive the "1-hour special" and felt the experience to be robotic in a sense. I can now say this and understand the difference after experiencing the healing hands of Jen! During my first visit, Jen made sure to discuss my medical history (partial herniated and bulged disc in my lower lumbar area) and other current ailments in order to tailor the session to my needs. To start: My body is a freaking mess. Too much travel, too much stress, not enough sleep, running on empty, etc. I'm a walking cliche, except it's all actually true. Enter the husband, who spent some serious time researching massages in the Fox Valley. He got a me a gift certificate for a massage with Jennifer, which I enjoyed this past Monday. OH MY GOD. Seriously, I feel amazing. It was a full body massage but she definitely focused on the spots we'd discussed in advance (primarily my shoulders and back) and 90 minutes later I was pretty much the human equivalent of Jell-O. Got home, drank water, took a long nap and STILL got the best (pain-free!) sleep I've had in months that night. And last night. I am already planning to book another appointment. The massage was excellent. The price is reasonable. I would definitely recommend Whitewave to others. Update: I enjoyed my first massage. But, the second one was outstanding. To me, it's obvious that Jenn takes her craft seriously. The first massage clued her into the different things going on with my body. Sure, I was able to tell her where it hurt, but a lot of the time other muscles may be the cause of the pain. When I came in for the second massage, Jenn had plan of attack and went to work like someone who paid a lot of attention the first massage. Within the last 9 months I fell, fractured my Hip, had a partial Hip replacement followed by 3+ months of Physical therapy. I am very pleased with the services I received at White Wave Body Work. After reading the wonderful yelp reviews, I had this bookmarked since May. Finally yesterday, I went in and Jennifer worked on my problem areas. She used a few new techniques and by the end of my 90 mins session I was in Zen. I also liked how she adds essential oils without any additional charge. To top it off, she send a follow up email today. I have NEVER had any massage therapist do that before. The cure for what ails you! I just moved to the area and couldn't be happier to have a thoughtful, talented, and affordable massage therapist nearby. She asks questions to make sure you're comfortable and really listens to what you need. I have horrible knots in my shoulders (don't we all!?) and Jennifer was able to work them out using just the right amount of pressure and without a lot of pain. I recently moved to the area and needed a massage. Found Jennifer on Yelp and gave her a call. She was able to schedule me and my husband for couples massage within a day or two. My husband was set up with another therapist in the same building and I was lucky enough to have Jennifer perform my massage. I was impressed with her attention to my problem areas (neck and shoulders) as well as the fact that she doesn't charge extra for aromatherapy as many massage therapists do! Afterward, she gave me some suggested stretches and tips for relieving some of my neck pain. Her rates are very reasonable too. I recently had a prenatal massage with Jennifer, and it was amazing! I'm in my third trimester and am starting to have more soreness and tense muscles. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the massage and that I had enough support pillows. She asked what my problem areas were and spent more time focusing on them.
