I've been the frequent customer at Whiteys bait's and tackle and the man kept on handing me tiny 1 inch shrimp. At one point, I realized he gave the customers after me many huge shrimps...I asked why the differences....he replied, "I dont want to be a butthead, but it's randomly catching". How could it be randomly 7 times in the row. All 5 DOZENS each time? I shown up at 5:30am to get some decent size of shrimps. Now I learn that I need to bring cash for tips multiple times to get some nice sizes Tips are customer's appreciation, not on discrimination who tips more. At least out of 5 times, please give me few nice sizes of baits. NEVER GO BACK to THIS BUSSINESS AGAIN. It's been 2 years I've supporting this business. If you new to this AREA, tip them to get some nice baits or dont show up at all. read more

They have a friendly and thorough staff. Obviously, at the mercy of the arrival of bait trucks(like all the local shops are). I've seen them dealing with folks who know very little about fishing, and they are helpful and give valid advice! They will handpicked the biggest shrimp they have, which is time consuming, so be prepared to wait in line during busy early mornings. read more

I went into Whiteys not knowing anything about Sebastian and was given lots of good info and great service. I accidentally left my bucket and they tracked me down at my camp site to make sure I got it back. That's some Abe Lincoln stuff if you ask me. Great time fishing. I was a newbie but thanks to Whiteys I was also one of the few catching fish. When I went back the next day to get my bucket I mentioned that the handle on my reel broke and he went digging through all his older handles just to see if he had one that would work. Also the only place that had sand fleas on that day. Can't wait to get back to Sebastian for more fishing. I'll definitely be stopping in to get my supplies at Whiteys. You guys ROCKED!!!! read more

Good ol' Whitey's! When I decide I'm gonna fish off the Sebastian Inlet jetties, I always stop at Whitey's for bait and the latest fishing gossip. From the street, Whitey's looks like a white concrete block heap, and it is. I mean, a bait shack isn't an emporium or something. Inside you find cast nets, tackle of all sorts, and live bait tanks brimming with shrimp, cigar minnows, and other wiggly creatures. Very nice tackle & bait shop. Employees are friendly and helpful, nice bait selection too. They had nice live shrimp and live clams, went surf fishing for about 2 hours and everything stayed alive until I got home. I through the leftover bait in my saltwater tank and my fish had a feast on the shrimp and the clams buried themselves in the sand and are still alive. Will be a returning customer. read more
