*review is based on reply to AI find-a-business conversation only*…read more TL;DR: weren't able to do a simple alteration (due to a quality that i noted in the AI chat message sent over to them) that another business had no problem with, BUT they were quick to reply and told me no without having me come in im not sure how simple of alterations they do, but it seems to be simpler than the surrounding businesses' usual. i was requesting a simple side take-in of a polyester dress with mesh overlay (notated in the AI message sent out), but they were unable to do it. for background, i am an intermediate-level DIY seamstress, with a grandmother who runs a sewing/alterations store (a state away which is why i reached out to businesses here). this is a pretty simple alteration, so i was surprised when they said they could not do it. i drove to the closest alterations place that was open, and they had no problem with the dress fabric regarding the take in (i showed the dress before i bothered trying it on to make sure) i am attaching the details yelp provided to the business as well as the conversation. the only additional thing i added to the AI was the part of the side seams with zipper in the back, maybe altering cups (after i responded to them saying that, for the other businesses to see that information) im not sure if this is a review more so on the business or AI feature. i will say- they were quick to reply and did tell me no, rather than having me come in and telling me no or potentially messing up the dress.

After getting home with my alteration and removing the cleaner's tag from one of the pairs I noticed the alternation was either missed or done incorrectly. I returned to Pavilion to explain my concern. One pair still had the Cleaner's tag still intact and I had removed the other pair cleaner's tag removed. For some odd reason, one pair had obviously been altered but at the wrong length and the other appeared to have been skipped. The store's computer record indicated that I dropped off 4 pairs of paints and also, I have been a customer for 9 years. This is first time I ever needed to dispute a service. Pavilon acknowledge that one pair had been altered at the wrong length but refused to acknowledge that the other pair had been dropped off, simply because there was not evidence that this pair had ever been altered. My explanation that the pair has been missed by their seamstress fail upon deaf ears. I was told I would have to pay 1/2 price to have the pants altered. I declined and decided to pay full price. For me, it is the principle. In 9 years, not once did I complain about pricing or service. So this lack of customer service and professionalism and obvious customer distrust convinced me this is not the place that deserves my business, nor does it deserve your.
