*review is based on reply to AI find-a-business conversation only* TL;DR: weren't able to do a simple alteration (due to a quality that i noted in the AI chat message sent over to them) that another business had no problem with, BUT they were quick to reply and told me no without having me come in im not sure how simple of alterations they do, but it seems to be simpler than the surrounding businesses' usual. i was requesting a simple side take-in of a polyester dress with mesh overlay (notated in the AI message sent out), but they were unable to do it. for background, i am an intermediate-level DIY seamstress, with a grandmother who runs a sewing/alterations store (a state away which is why i reached out to businesses here). this is a pretty simple alteration, so i was surprised when they said they could not do it. i drove to the closest alterations place that was open, and they had no problem with the dress fabric regarding the take in (i showed the dress before i bothered trying it on to make sure) i am attaching the details yelp provided to the business as well as the conversation. the only additional thing i added to the AI was the part of the side seams with zipper in the back, maybe altering cups (after i responded to them saying that, for the other businesses to see that information) im not sure if this is a review more so on the business or AI feature. i will say- they were quick to reply and did tell me no, rather than having me come in and telling me no or potentially messing up the dress. read more

Very friendly and very quick to respond. They hemmed 2 of my pants for around $50 and did a good job! They have a changing room inside for people to try stuff on in as well. I would go back for the service for sure! They don't alter sequence fabric, which I understand is hard to work with. read more

This is the worst cleaners ever. They are rude and they charge people different prices base on the color of your skin. I (a black man) took a blanket in to get cleaned and they told me $45 and they would give me a 20% discount and said it would be $30. 20% of $45 is $36. That is not 20%. I told them no. I then sent my white assistant in the next day with the same blanket and they charged her $20 plus a 20% discount. Stay Away From Them. read more

DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING OF VALUE HERE TO HAVE ALTERED! I needed a dress simply taken in at the seams on both sides (just the top of the dress - waist up - (spaghetti strap - not even a half of inch on either side). If I had a sewing machine, I could have done it myself. Its my daughter's "Homecoming/Coronation" dress (Ms. 9th Grade) that she needed to wear on the day I picked it up. When I picked it up, the cleaners told me that they could only take it in half way down towards the waist, as not to interfere with the pleating, only to find that they didn't even do that! They "tacked" it under the armpits (Literally folded it over at the top and stitched it). Instead of calling me to say that they thought it was too difficult or that they couldn't do it -- they tacked it, as if that would be OK. Really?!?!? Who does that? I had to scramble to find another alteration place on my lunch break and beg them to undo the GOD awful tacking and to fix it by 4:00 p.m., as her event starts at 5 pm in Midtown!!! Ugggghhhh!!
