I was assured their designer would do a good job and assemble what I asked for. Instead a yellow orchid PLANT no mixed colors was delivered and I was supposed to be satisfied because it was an "upgrade". When I called and complained, I was told they would go out there and pick up the plant and deliver a new vase of florals. I thought that seemed tacky now late in the day. I said do not go out there, and asked for a refund, they eventually said ok. Then they arrived at my 92 year old sister's house at 8:00pm at night and said they were there to take back her flowers. Can you believe anyone would do this on someone's 92nd birthday??? I am sickened. What I ordered for$120 was not delivered and I was told why should they pay for it and not me. Because you are the seller who did not deliver what you said you would that's why. I am stunned at their treatment of my sister and myself. I am not new to retail, I was a top producer at BLOOMINGDALES, and I find this unacceptable and frankly CHEAP.I personally think an upgrade would have been additional flowers to the bouquet not a switch. Those orchids or very similar, are in every grocery store in California.

There was only two white roses in an arrangement supposed to be mostly roses. I called 1-800-flowers and they immediately apologized that the arrangement didn't look as nice as it did online, and refunded me. Honestly I didn't need a refund, I just was surprised it didn't look like what I expected. I never asked for a refund. But the worst part came afterwards when the florist at this shop was calling and harassing my friend (the recipient), instead of contacting me, saying they were going to come pick up the flowers because they weren't going to be paid for, and leaving someone who is going through a hard time already, in a confused and frustrated place. The tone in which this employee spoke with us was completely unacceptable. She ended up telling me that no one should go through 1-800-flowers (then why does your business partner with them??), and made the whole situation completely my problem for using this website. Again, why would 1-800-flowers issue a refund to me if they weren't going to pay the small business? All I wanted was for my friend to be left alone, and for the flowers she had to be kept by her. So even though I was disappointed by the cheap looking arrangement they put together, I paid them separately. The whole experience was unbelievably poorly handled. Don't use this florist, there has to be better options in the area.

One big thing I did notice this year was that they dropped the cell size of the vegetable saplings from 4 to 3 but the price stayed the same $1.99. A lot of places are still charging the same price for a 4 cell so keep that in mind. The plants looked really healthy this year so far. I love their Salad Bowls. I always pick up 2 or 3. It's great having access to fresh lettuce everyday. I also came looking for a couple Lemon Cypress trees. Sadly they don't carry them so that was a bit of a disappointment. We did leave with some herbs and vegetable plants though. TIP: Get here early in the season... The plants that they have in the first week or two of opening are a great deal for their size, a large 4" tomato plant will cost you less than $3.
