I recently had a disappointing experience at the Whole Foods Market in Duluth, GA. I purchased two containers of strawberries from the same display. I ate one that appeared fresh, but the next morning I opened the second container and found several strawberries heavily covered with mold. Visible mold on soft fruits is a food safety concern, not just a cosmetic issue. Mold spreads microscopic spores, and contamination is often present before it becomes visible. That's why food safety guidance generally recommends discarding moldy berries rather than picking out the bad ones. When I returned the moldy container along with the empty container from the berries I had already eaten, the refund was processed, but the manager's primary response was to tell me that empty containers would not be accepted for refunds in the future. The bigger issue wasn't the refund policy. It was the lack of concern that I had already consumed strawberries from what appeared to be the same compromised batch. I expected someone to ask about my well-being and inspect the remaining inventory, not focus first on the return policy. Whole Foods has built its reputation on premium-quality produce. I hope this store strengthens both its fresh fruit quality control and its food safety training for customer service staff. read more

Live laugh love the self serve at Whole Foods!! Their cranberry couscous salad is ALWAYS so fresh, vibrant and flavorful. The tabbouleh was very lemony and light, always a favorite around here. I've never tried the sesame cucumber noodles until now but they were such a delight. It was cold but sweet with a subtle kick. The veggie spring rolls were thicker than you would imagine and completely stuffed. The garlic mushrooms were very soft and flavorful. Despite the morals attached to this company, it does have a good selection of both produce and products, processed and otherwise. It's kind of close to us, and sadly is one of the few places that have certain things we need as practicing vegans. The issue with our last visit was the food area where you can make a plate. The food was not only picked over but also wasn't refreshed. It was practically empty and you could see people fighting to figure out what they were willing to eat as opposed what they wanted to eat. We normally get "brunch" here if we go here. But seems like maybe there are wharf certain times of day where you can get freshness perhaps. Maybe we'll try again another time... read more

This review is only on berry Chantilly cake. Somehow, this location doesn't follow franchise recipe. Their Berry Chantilly cake frosting doesn't not contain mascarpone cheese. I spoke the main baker today and she told me that they don't change the frosting recipe and their frosting are made of chantilly frosting mix with heavy cream and almond flavor. When I told her that other whole food bakery use same chantilly frosting mix with mascarpone crème cheese she wouldn't believe me. I went home and looked up the whole food berry chantilly cake i frosting ingredients which are Heavy creamMascarpone cheese (which gives it its signature rich tang) Cream cheese, Powdered sugar (with corn starch/tapioca starch) Almond emulsion/extract (the secret to that distinct flavor) I don't know why this Johns creek location bakery doesn't follow the franchise recipe. read more

I haven't been to "Whole Paycheck," I mean Whole Foods in over a year. My fiancé and I love this place, but we used to only go in for the hot foods or for certain specialty products. He used to love getting the brisket from the hot line back home on Maui (which was the only location we'd ever shopped at). One of my favorite items I used to get was the chocolate honeycomb - really good stuff! I recently stopped into this location to return an Amazon product and get a refund. The ladies at the counter were very helpful and the process itself took less than 30 seconds. I had my Amazon refund issued as an online gift card balance in less than 24 hours. I like that you don't have to bring in anything but the product and code to scan on your phone - no boxes or shipping labels as they take care of that for you. After the Amazon return, I browsed the store. This being only the second location I've ever shopped in, I don't have much to go on, but it was big, open, and clean like the Maui location. It was sad seeing the hot line only open at partial capacity, but better than nothing. A lot of my favorites were not on the line, but then I remembered there are most likely regional differences too, aside from COVID cutbacks. Overall, it was a nice experience though. Pleasant stop for a bite after grocery shopping. Whole Foods always has a good array for grocery choices and most stores have outdoor seating for casual dining if you use their grab and go food area, also. The outside table twas very pleasant on a balmy afternoon. Food: We stopped by between lunch and dinner hours-around 3:30. Unfortunately, we were disappointed because their hot food bar was shorter on food choices than we have been accustomed to in the past, with scarce meat choices and the vegetables looked a little past prime flavor. My friends chose to go with the buffet items anyway and said they were about a 4 out of 5 stars. The salad makings and the pizzas were still fresh enough to be good. I chose to get food from the deli instead. I tried the chicken salad and the fruit salad. Not as good as the chicken salad that I had in the Kailua Whole Foods store. Some how it seemed a little grainy -like maybe it had been frozen and thawed. Their breads are always well made, so we chose a nice sourdough and it was good. We grabbed an assortment of the bakery cookies for dessert at home. The nut horns, pistachio cookies, and Russian tea cookies are favorites. We also couldn't resist the tiramisu in the bakery-it was yummy. Service : was pleasant and efficient Location: This location is good for us when we are in the area, and is usually busy. It is set back off the busy road, and has lots of trees to shield it from the traffic noises and odors. It isn't part of any other shopping strip. To the woman who answered the phone on May 17, 2024 around 11:00, I called to ask a question for the seafood department or possibly to ask her since she picked the phone up. She quickly shifted me to the seafood department ( which is perfectly fine) but not before I caught her slick response before she transferred me which stated "No you can't ask me nothing". What is your problem? What is your purpose to respond with such a snarky remark when your entire job description is customer focused and customer satisfaction? ok woah. my first time at whole foods and wow. it's like publix and traders joe's had a baby and jeff bezos adopted it. LITERALLY. it's so clean and big. the bulk foods were so cool. the sushi selection wow. we looked at 2 and all the ingredients were clean. as in, zabiha halal. no rice wine or anything. the crunchy salmon roll was sooooo good. $14 but the pieces were big and it was very satisfying. their bakery is also amazing. and literally you choose ur bread, and there's a BREAD SLICER. and you can choose the thickness of the slice. then u just lift the whole thing on that silver top part and use that to slide it into the bag. and wow the sourdough was actually the best i've ever tried. it's so soft inside but crispy OUTSIDE. incredible. and also we were SO excited to try their matcha after hearing so much about it online. we were nervous to try the berry chantily flavor because we hadn't liked chantily cake. so originally it was 3 pumps of strawberry and 2 pumps of almond. but we changed it to just 1 pump of almond and WOW. beautiful vibrant green and just such a fun flavor. the matcha flavor still came through. lowkey just tasted like a strawberry matcha so maybe add more almond if you want. love that it had self-checkout and a worker really helped us find thai tea (they didn't have any), but she was so nice and helpful. all in all, would come again for matcha and bread. the only thing is, it's far from me . then again maybe that's a good thing cause i would be here everyday if i could be. I love Whole Foods and this was my go-to Whole Foods when I used to live in the Johns Creek area. I didn't frequent this place as much as Whole Foods is definitely on the pricier side, but I still liked coming here when I needed organic/well-being products. I came here for the first time in a while, and I was able to grab some dinner.I forgot how great Whole Foods hot bar and salad bar was... It was so good and affordable. I picked up about 1 lb of hot foods and it was only $14... very affordable for this current time! Whole foods also has clean foods and doesn't leave you feeling so greased out after a meal. This Whole Foods always feels like home to me and I'm glad I was able to recently return. I called Whole Foods today and asked to speak to someone in the meat department. The call was transferred from customer service and connected to the meat department but no one in the meat department bothered to acknowledge my call. Someone placed the call on speaker phone and left me hanging. I decided I would deduct a star rating for every 20 minutes they left me abandoned in phone-hold hell. I knew there were employees present because I could faintly hear them talking and cajoling. I tried getting someone's attention by yelling into my phone, but to no avail. Everything in business is a test, especially as it applies to customer service. This is most assuredly the case for a premium priced store such as Whole Foods. If a consumer is going to spend an inordinate amount of money at Whole Foods, that customer better receive top notch service, not bottom of the barrel neglect. You'd probably conclude from my one one-star rating that I was kept in phone limbo for 80 minutes. 100 minutes if Yelp permitted a zero-star rating The truth of the matter is, I am still holding as I am writing this scathing review. 4 hours and 51 minutes have elapsed since I began my quest for customer care. You read it right, 4 hours and 51 minutes. Not one employee in the meat department had the minimal awareness level required to take a look at their department's phone. Had they done so, they might have noticed a caller was connected with no one from Whole Foods engaged in the conversation. What is a customer's time worth? Evidently, just pennies on the dollar the way Whole Foods calculates it. read more

Maybe it's just me, but I am just not a fan. I've only ever been to this location and I've been here at least 5 times. I just find the items overpriced. I've ordered full hot pizzas from here and honestly, they just aren't good. It's hard to F up pizza, but theirs tastes like cardboard. Also she was so careless throwing our products in the bags and the result is that one jar broke. Then we noticed our Whole Foods card didn't read our code to get the discounts so there was another person called Misha I think who helped us get our discounts and also who also was respectful and patient with us. I love Whole Foods Markets! WFM is my candy store. I appreciate the consistency of all WFMs I've been to. This location is always clean and organized. Easy to find items, and staff is always friendly and willing to help. My favorite part about WFM is their prepared foods department! Just as in their grocery aisles, they don't have artificial colors, flavors, preservatives and more in their prepared foods department. You can really see and taste the quality. Everything is clearly labeled and all ingredients listed. There's something for just about every dietary need. My family and I have tried several items on the menu, and have never been disappointed. Many of the items throughout the store are 10% off for Amazon Prime members, so always scan your Prime code if you're a member. This location is the best one thus far because it's nearby, the staff are always really friendly, and they're always well stocked with everything. If you're an Amazon prime member, there's always really good deals for prime members only. The hot food section always smells really good, and they also have delicious freshly baked pastries for dessert. I also find myself coming to this whole foods for any Amazon returns I need to make. They have a small section/stall at the back, right side of the store which makes returns super easy and convenient. You just bring your item, and show them your return QR code. I purchased a Chantilly Berry Cake for a baby shower. I have had them before over the years and they were wonderful. I got home, opened the box (someone who was helping me with shower picked it up for me) and the icing on the cake was so thin you could see the cake through it in big spots all over. It looked like a ten year old did it. The berries were lined up in rows and someone in the kitchen looked at it and said, Oh! It looks like they were making a flag. I had to rush to the store, get the items to make the Chantilly frosting, re-frost the entire cake and put fresh berries on the top the way it was supposed to be. I paid 70.00 for this cake that was embarrassing to put out, and it caused stress the day of the shower because of course I had not budgeted time to have to redo a cake. He said, "I really can't do that" and started wrapping in brown paper. I asked, "Is it the law?" I mean why is it so difficult for customers to get what they ask for? Other than this, this location is one of the better whole foods in ATL with great variety on items and hot bar. Buyer beware when ordering fully cooked turkeys from this store. We ordered and paid $69.99+tax for a fully cooked roasted turkey online and picked it up on Christmas Eve. Instructions stated that it is fully cooked and could be served cold or reheated. To our dismay when we opened the turkey on Christmas Day with the intention of slicing it and serving it cold it was full of blood. It was quite disappointing! The outside was brown as if it had been cooked but the inside and the blood pouring from it made it obvious that it had not been cooked to the proper temperature. I am a huge fan of Wholefoods, although the place is quite high in price, you know that you will always get high quality products and they back their prices. If something is marked wrong, they will refund the price and give you the item free. Yesterday was my first time here at their Johns Creek store and I must say, I like this store more than the one off Ponce. This store is huge, they have a great selection of items, have a chef (Fish Grill) and sushi table that you can order food and eat at and they have a massive hot food buffet. The food here is $9 per pound, but extremely fresh and there is an excellent variety of different types of ethnic food, which I really enjoy. Wholefoods now has the 4 for $4 tasting deal, you can try different prepared dishes, and these are very healthy. One of the dishes that I tried was their whole foods quinoa salad; OMG this stuff is incredibly good. They quinoa tasted like it was freshly sprouted. I'll be back and will pick up a pound. This Whole food do not welcome 'black customers' as equally as their white customers. I was racially targeted at this Whole Foods on 6.10.22 , while attempting to check out using their self-checkout. I only had 5 small items and two of the items were not scanning. There was a female Asian employee named "OH" that was working the self-checkout. OH, refused to assist me, but sneakily watched me struggle with the bananas and dessert item I had that were not scanning. OH, snuck up behind me like a cat and zoomed on me only because of my race, she never offered her assistance. Once I located her to request assistance she did not want to help me, I requested a manager and she brought over another non manager employee, "Norely" whose attitude matched OH, and only escalated the matter. I eventually spoke with Emily who then apologized but the damage had already been done. It is not a good feeling to be targeted because of your race. If this is WHOLE FOODS belief then, I prefer they close their doors for good. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this Whole Foods, most of their employees are RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and ANGRY. I've come to appreciate how consistent Whole Foods is, no matter where I am. We picked up a few other things but my review is for the cafe: Don't come here solely for coffee. We arrived around noon. The cafe was not manned. Someone from the bakery department had seen us standing there and walked over. I've been to several whole food markets and my sister has been to more than I have. She loves these stores so anytime we hang out she forces me to join her. This was our first time going to this particular location and she was like a kid in a candy store. They have a NUT section with several nuts and flavors to choose from. The prepared cold food section has its own section with more options and a bar where you can sit and eat it. They have a very large seating area where you can enjoy your purchases. They also have chocolate section! They even have a seating area to the side where you can watch tv. She's describing all this to me as I type and she chomps down on their delicious chocolate chip cookies.
