Due to our busy work schedule we decided to hire someone to clean the carpeting. They also offered professional home cleaning so we thought we'd try that as well. My husband spoke with someone from the company who stated they had cleaned and deodorized the carpet. A few days later when two ladies were to come back out and clean the residence, my husband decided to pop in on them. He found one in each bathroom cleaning. Not even a full week afterwards, I visited the residence with a potential renter and was very embarrassed. The home was NOT deodorized; in fact, there was a horrid smell lingering in the air. The two ladies had spent 4.5 hours cleaning the empty house of 3 bedrooms and two baths. Dead flys remained in the window sills. Some windows had not been cleaned. Cobwebs still remained in numerous areas. Floors were only lightly mopped, not scrubbed which left food, mud, etc on the floor. Fixtures were not wiped down, nor were the appliances leaving remnant dirt and food splatter. I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture. Normally, it would take only myself two hours to clean this house. They had a four hour minimum. For 4.5 hours of two ladies time, I expected near perfection and a clean smelling home. Especially at a cost of $450. Never again!! I can hire someone local looking to make a few extra dollars who would do a better job. Save your money and look elsewhere for professional cleaning.

We have a 5 color trim and siding home, 4 colors in the overhang alone withdetailed woodwork on an older Brookside residence. They were able to match our existing color scheme with no problem, leaving us with properly dated leftover paint in case touch ups are needed. HORRIBLE! Aaron told me his company has over 20 yrs…read more experience restoring and building decks. I soon found out he's the only employee and lacks knowledge and skills working on decks. I have weeds growing out of my deck boards that sits 5-6 feet off the ground! My deck frame/support boards measure 3", he put a board 2 1/4" on top leaving a large gap for dirt, debris and water to collect and sit on top of my deck frame/support boards underneath resulting in weeds. This will also cause rotting on my deck frame/support boards. Railing boards were cut short and uneven too. He was cussing throughout the whole project replacing deck floor joists, floor boards and rails. He couldn't lift the joists and had to wait for a friend of his to come help him lift them, it took him 4 days to remove the wood screws in my existing floor boards grinding away at screws using the wrong bits or stripped bits. He said it was due to his battery on his drill being low but this happened everyday. I asked him a few time to make sure he picked up all the wood screws so I wouldn't get a flat on my riding lawn mower. I ended up finding almost 20 screws he left around my deck and yard and had to buy a magnet sweeper to make sure I picked them all up. It took him over 2 weeks to complete, a job that should've only taken 3-4 days. I know because I've had this done twice before. He spent a lot of time on the phone answering calls and returning phone calls to people while he attempted to work on my deck. When I told Aaron about weeds growing out of my deck, his response was it will cost me to come fix it and he sent me an invoice. He expects me to pay for his mistakes??? He proceeded to tell me he was a one man show and he has no retirement (his words). Like this is supposed to make me feel sorry for him and an excuse for shoddy work?

The communication that had been so key early on had faded, and I honestly didn't know if we were on the schedule or had been completely punted. I had to follow up to ensure things were on track. It took multiple weeks to have someone out. I think it's because of the frequent rains throwing off the schedule, but again it felt my messages were sort of going to a void. They gave me about an hours notice when someone was coming out, and he did a really nice job. I was very surprised when I got the bill and it was $125 more than it's ever been in the past. Especially surprising because the email thread we had been going back and forth in had our prior invoice at $275, not at $400. When I asked what was up they cited that it took their employee three hours and my gutters were more clogged than before. To me, nothing has really changed, if anything we have had more trees trimmed back, and more importantly, I didn't know that would affect the cost so dramatically. It had been under a year and half since I last had them out. Had I known, I absolutely would've gone with a more reasonable option. I also felt like their response was a bit off-putting, and I'm surprised because again we've hired them at least three times and I've had such positive interactions up until now. I'll be looking elsewhere moving forward; they do a nice job, and are a professional enough company, but the lack of customer service and shockingly high bill will have me finding a new go-to for my annual gutter cleanings.

I advise everyone to have a camera to take pictures before and after in places you can't see. I contacted Scott Handyman and explained the exact problem with the kitchen hood - the connection from the hood to the outer connection had come loose. I sent a picture (picture #1) showing the problem and asked if they could fix it, and the lady from Scott Handyman said yes. The technician who came said he could fix it. When I got home, the problem still existed (picture #2). The lady said she would send another technician and explained that if something arose after the job was finished, I just needed to call them and they would take care of it under the warranty. However, when the second technician came, my son told him he was damaging the wood trim and backsplash, but the technician didn't care. After he left, I tested the fan and found that air was blowing downwards. Pictures (picture #3) and a video show the piece installed was ripped and air was leaking. I contacted Scott Handyman multiple times with pictures and videos, but they didn't answer. Finally, I texted them that I would take them to court if they didn't honor their warranty. The lady responded, saying I should hire an HVAC technician and they wouldn't fix it. Too bad I cant post any pictures here nether a video. However, you can see the pictures on Google reviews.
