We've taken our pup to Whole Pets Market a few times and every time we've received a cheerful greeting. Before we realized our pup had digestive issues, she also got a pup cup when we visited; making our dog feel special. We found specialized products like medicated shampoo and wipes that we weren't finding in other stores. Whole Pets seems like they have a large assortment of pet products for a wide variety of pets. When checking out asked if I could sign up for a loyalty program for my adopted pup(my sister signed up for the same one just two days prior) then was told none of my stuff qualified to sign up, okay that's fine, asked if i could be pointed to something to qualify and sign up. Worker told me "oh it's just random stuff," again so i asked if I could see something that qualifies, was then told "oh we don't actually have a list and some of the stuff isn't even in store." Ended up not signing up as both workers kept explaining a whole lot of nothing and the conversation was going nowhere. It should not have been difficult to show me an item to buy so I can sign up, the lady worker in particular kept giving me a short answer with no actual help and I ended feeling like I was the one being too much. Will not be going here again since workers are strange. read more

This store has so much variety. Customer service is fantastic. I adopted a new puppy and was set up with an adoption program. The lady showed me a treat ball that's soft and colorful. My doodle loved it. She also sold me a licky mat and puzzle. My puppy is having so much fun. I did call her back to the store to thank her. She loves her open farm food. (I left an identical review on Google maps. I want to warn people as much as I can so they can be aware of what they might be in for.) I originally wasnt going to leave a review because I understand accidents happen, and I dont like leaving bad reviews. However this is ridiculous. We took my dog into to be groomed. At first we thought the lady did a good job with the cut, as he looked cute. We left a tip. She had taken off before we got there, so we didnt get the chance to speak with her or anything. (Which in hindsight, raises questions for me.) We get home, only to discover he's been nicked pretty bad. At first we thought it was only once and understood accidents happen but.. It wasnt once. It was THREE times. Once was on the under side of his *NECK*!!! And to add insult to injury, whatever soap they used on him gave him a horrible itchy allergic reaction. By the morning he bit himself to bleeding, and I gave the poor thing a bath to try to relieve him of the itchiness. Ive never seen him so utterly stressed out before, and ive had him since he was a tiny puppy. He's 8. We will not be bringing him back to the store, ever. The store has a decent variety of pet stuff (though severely understaffed and slow), but if you want to get your dog groomed there? DONT. (Pictures of the cut I managed to get a photo of for proof. We were shopping for our little kitties for Christmas and couldn't stay in one of the two large chain stores because of covid concerns and the VERY lengthy line of people waiting to check out. So we thought we'd get something for lunch and as we headed down Airline, saw Whole Pets Market at Gulfway. We stopped by and found it to be an awesome place to shop. It's not big, but it's a unique and well-stocked store for your animal family members. I didn't see the prescription feeds that one of our girls needs, but in terms of quality pet foods and toys and services...this will be where we shop for anything for our cats. read more

This store is AWESOME and completely unique to the are. They are unlike the chain pet stores here and in the surrounding area. While there are several independent stores that do sell food brands and items not sold at the chains, this store's inventory and selection is massive. They have a huge variety of higher end pet food that is just not offered elsewhere. Toys, treats, clothing, leashes, kennels and accessories, on and on. They also offer items for cats and small animals. They even have a DIY washing station for dogs. Yesterday was my second visit this week, this time I took our dog, Fred. He was welcomed so nicely by the employee working. I, be bring negligent, forgot to bring a water bowl with us on our outings. The employee went out of her way to tear a styrofoam cup down for him to drink water out of. So nice! Also, I overheard her mentioning to another customer that they will be adding a groomer, so that's good to know! read more

Owner really loves her job and knows her customers! Does grooming and provides the supplies you need for all sorts of pets. Workers are so friendly and patient, fast too you'll be in and out in a second! Watch your dogs for you, have kittens for adoption, pet toys, food, supplies, anything you need! Very clean place with nice organization too. Will stay coming to here instead of other pet stores. read more
