I had to go out of town for a week and had never boarded my puppy (4 month old) before. I asked around and this place was recommended by a few dog owners near me. After picking him up today I see why! He received great care, was clean and happy and didn't want to leave! He especially enjoyed playtime in the indoor play room. We boarded our 12 year old dog from 04.21.23 to 04.30.23. We could not be happier with the treatment she received! We were worried about boarding her for that long of time as she is used to being with us every night when we come home from work. She came home very happy and we could tell she was very well taken care of ! The staff was very courteous, friendly and professional! The place is an awesome pet resort! I love the detail and attention my pets received at arriving, leaving and after we left!!! I went to Corpus Christi for a wedding at the end of October 2010. My friend that usually takes care of my two dogs backed out at the last minute and I was in a bind. I googled pet boarding facilites in Corpus Christi and found The Pooch Pad with the highest ratings. I called and spoke with Jennifer about my situation. She was very helpful with all the information regarding rates, requirements and expectations. Upon arrival, the receptionist was very friendly and tried to calm one of my dogs down (Tobias is hyperactive and friendly, Chloe is scared of everyone and everything). She explained what time we were able to pick up and if we wanted the dogs to enjoy play time with other dogs, what time to feed. The next day we picked up the dogs, both dogs seemed very happy. Chloe (my small nervous dog) was happy and comfortable with the dog handler/worker there. That brought me a lot of comfort (I know I baby her too much). We also received a cute letter regarding how the dogs played with the other dog residents for the weekend. ( I attached the picture on Yelp, its very cute). The workers told us how Chloe was shy at first then played with the other dogs. She also stated how my hyperactive dog Tobias played with everyone. About a week later, I received a email with all the pictures of the dogs playing together. There are some really cute pictures of my dogs playing with other dogs. That brought a big smile to my face!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the detail this place gave to my pets all throughout the stay and afterwards. I plan on using this place anytime I have a weekend getaway to Corpus. read more

Took my cutie over for a grooming. The ladies are great and did a fine job of bathing and cleaning up my fur baby. I found out they don't clip hair tho. Price was reasonable for bathing and nail clips, (they trimmed them but were still a tad long) sure wish they could've groomed/clipped his hair tho. If you want just a wash and nail clip this is your place. read more

Our granddaughter has a dog that has been housed at Pooch Pad many times in the last two years. It is a bit pricey but the attention to details and customer service are worth the money, In fact, we can tell that Dixie loves going there so we feel sure that she is treated well. My dogs love this place! In the past I've had issues leaving my dogs at boarding places. They both come with their baggage after coming from neglecting owners and from shelters. One is clingy with separation anxiety. The other is anti-social. But the second time I dropped them off here for weekend boarding they happily followed the employee to the back and never turned to look at me! And when I picked them up they weren't that excited to see me. It was a bit upsetting for me personally, but shows how well they are treated here. The only negative is that the outdoor area is a bit small. But other than that this place is affordable and a great option for boarding! read more

I took my dog there to stay for the weekend, and while he was there he received a bath and nail trim. They cut my dogs nails WAY too short! All 20 of them where cut past the quick. He was bleeding for two days after we picked him up. I understand if they made a mistake, but they should have told me what happened when he was picked up. It wasn't until we got home and he started bleeding that we noticed how short they were. When I called on Monday to inform them of the bleeding, they said he was probably squirming so they accidently cut them too short... that may be a good excuse if it was one nail, but not for all 20 of them. I was extremely unsatisfied with how this situation was handled by Pooch Pad. We will be taking our business to Barkaritaville! read more

The staff at pooch-pad are fantastic. I've had a bad experience before so I'm really nervous about leaving my Senior dog with anyone, but I really trust pooch pad. They respect my requests and don't push anything I'm uncomfortable with (like socializing my dog with other unfamiliar dogs). This past weekend I let my dog stay there and today I got a surprise in my inbox of pics of him playing with the staff and having a great time. Anytime I need a place for my dog to stay, pooch pad will be number one on my list. read more
