Amazing team!!! Blake came and got the initial measurements. Once I agreed with the price, the…read morewindows were ordered with 50% down and the remaining 50% after the job was completed. About 4-6 weeks later, Blake contacted me and scheduled for installation. Robert and his team did an excellent job installing the windows. I had a total of 11 windows installed on the first floor of my property in Nov 2023. They completed the job in 1 and half days. It could have been done in one day but the sunset in November didn't allow. Some of the pictures of the completed job are shown below. I don't have the before pictures but trust me, there's a huge difference. I will have them come back to complete the second floor in the first quarter of 2024. Thank you!!

I used Smart Shield to replace all the windows in my 101 yr old house (23 windows total - basement,…read morefirst and second floors, and attic) as well as my front storm door. The windows and door all look great and are a huge improvement over what was there previously. Robert was incredibly helpful with figuring out what I needed and answering tons of questions for me (as I evaluated ten companies and rated them all to determine who was the best one for the job). Smart Shield came out on top and did a great job! The installation guys were all incredibly nice and polite, especially Steve and Jimmy who came back on Saturday to finish after storms on Friday kept them from completing the job that day. I am incredibly happy with my new windows which are all clear and open and shut so easily that I have to remind myself not to push them too hard. My neighbors were so impressed with the job they did (and my spreadsheet evaluation) that they hired Smart Shield to do their windows as well. I highly recommend these guys!

We did extensive research before replacing the 17 windows in our home. We obtained several…read moreestimates, read Google reviews, and asked for recommendations on our local Facebook community page. Windows Plus was consistently highly rated and frequently recommended, so we included them among the companies we contacted. Salesman Tom came to our home and made an excellent first impression. He was professional, explained all of our window options, discussed our expectations, and provided a fair price. He assured us the installation would be seamless and completed within two days. He also explained that a foreman would take final measurements and that the windows would be custom-built to fit our openings with very tight tolerances. After waiting approximately six weeks for the windows to be manufactured, installation day finally arrived. Day 1 (Monday) To my surprise, the installation crew arrived in unmarked vehicles. Several other companies had warned us about subcontractors, so this immediately raised some concerns. Unfortunately, we also had a medical emergency that day, and I spent most of the day at the hospital, which prevented me from being present during the installation. When I returned home, most of the second-floor windows had already been replaced, and the exterior capping had been removed. We had recently invested in new siding, and our windows previously had decorative wood trim around the exterior that created a more dimensional appearance. I discovered that this trim had been removed from most of the windows. When I asked whether it would be reinstalled, I was told that they do not reinstall it and that it was unnecessary. Instead, new capping would be installed without wood backing, with foam used behind it. I also noticed that many of the replacement windows appeared to be 1-1.5 inches smaller than the original openings, leaving large gaps around the frames. There were no shims installed--only screws securing the windows to the wood framing. Again, I was told this was normal because the gaps would be filled with foam and that foam provided a stronger bond than wood. Day 2 (Tuesday) Once again, I was unable to be home during the day and expected to return to a completed project. Instead, I learned that the crew had left around 3:30 p.m. without informing my son and without completing the exterior capping. Rain was expected later that week, so this was concerning. Assuming they would return Wednesday morning, I waited for them to arrive. When no one showed up by 9:00 a.m., I called the company and was informed that the crew had been assigned to another project and would not return until Friday. At no point had this delay been communicated to us. The crew did return on Friday and completed the installation, but several issues remained: * One interior window trim was damaged and poorly repaired. * There were areas where the exterior capping had not been properly caulked. * One window screen was ripped. * Several sections of capping were loose because the original wood backing had been removed. The capping was simply tucked into the siding and could easily be pulled away. Foreman Rob came out to address these concerns. To his credit, the damaged interior trim was replaced, the caulking issues were corrected, and some siding that had loosened during installation was repaired. However, he insisted that the loose capping was not a problem and required no further attention. He also stated that a replacement screen would be ordered under the lifetime warranty and that I would be contacted when it arrived. A few days later, someone from the office called to ask how everything had gone. I again expressed my concerns regarding the loose capping and the response I had received. I was told that another foreman, Scott, would contact me to address the issue. Although there were a few attempts to connect, I was told I would hear back from him, and that was nearly two weeks ago. Since then, I have received no follow-up. Overall, I am very disappointed with the service I received from this company. While the sales process was excellent, the installation experience, communication, workmanship, and follow-up have fallen well below expectations. The lack of urgency in addressing legitimate concerns has been frustrating, and it leaves me questioning how responsive the company will be when future warranty issues arise. While the company advertises a "lifetime warranty," getting concerns addressed and honored has proven to be far more challenging than expected.
