It makes so much more sense to hold off on your decision until the pups develop their personalities instead of solely going off looks. Jennifer is super thorough and maintains constant communication throughout the entire adoption process. She was constantly sending us pictures and updates in our group chat of puppy parents. Before we even thought of the question, Jennifer already had given us the answer! Her constant communication was something that truly made the entire experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. That's is the way it's supposed to be - adopting a puppy should be more fun that it is stressful! I'm from California. Jennifer personally delivered my puppy to me. YES, across the country! She flew with her at no extra cost to me (other than flight costs). She left her home at 3am and got back home at midnight. She had 4 layovers and nearly 24 hours of continuous traveling. Now THAT kind of effort is unheard of. She has so much kindness to give and it truly shows through her breeding program. While there are so many amazing components to Doodles & Doxies program, the true dealbreaker is the training they do BEFORE your puppy comes home. My girl came home 100% crate trained and 95% potty trained. I was expecting long, sleepless nights with an unhappy puppy crying in her crate. Not only am I happy that I didn't have to deal with the headache that comes along with crate training, I am more happy than my dog was never miserable and in distress while in her crate. A puppy coming home 95% potty trained sounds like a fairy tale. I knew that they were beginning potty training before they arrived home, but I did not expect this a perfectly potty trained pup. Once again, Doodles & Doxies exceeded expectations! I'll only get puppies from Doodles and Doxies from now on. They are the best from coast to coast! I highly recommend them.

We expressed concern so we were advised they would be moved to the other building. We learned they were never moved. They also advertised having cots in every kennel, but none had a cot when whe visited so good thing we brought their bed. We also brought a couple of toys and none were returned to us at check out. When we picked them up they were waiting in the office as the staff said they needed the kennel for another dog (we were on time for pick up). The night we brought them back home one started throwing up a bunch then the other did. They also didn't seem to want to eat much. We assumed they needed time. They seemed to eat ok the next day, but then the day after they started throwing up blood. Everything bad seems to happen at night on a weekend. We called a family member who was connected to a vet and asked what the chances of getting in was. The vet was away, but advised to try prilosec. We got an appointment with the vet and tried the med. The vet stated the pups appeared to have stomach ulcers due to stress and luckily it cleared up in about a week. We had never had a dog get an ulcer from being at a kennel before. Pretty bad kennel overall. We will not be back. Only good thing was getting occasional pics of the pups.

During all that time, we were only ever informed of one incident -- over a year ago -- which was described as a brief "scuffle" while several dogs went through a gate together. We were told there were no injuries, and after a short break, our dog returned to play with no further issues. There were no other incidents that day or at any other time until we were informed of his dismissal when we picked him up at the end of the day. Since his dismissal, we've made multiple attempts to get details about any other incidents and were denied. We even tried to speak directly with the practice owner and veterinarian, but she never responded. This has been extremely disappointing. As responsible pet parents, we wanted to understand what happened so we could address any behavioral issues -- but we were given no opportunity to do so. After years of loyalty to both the clinic and daycare (with as many as three dogs in their care at a time), the lack of transparency and unwillingness to communicate has left us questioning everything. They denied us any chance to correct behavior and keep our relationship as customers, and the practice owner's silence speaks volumes about how little they value long-term clients.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating with finding a time for the meet and greet and getting us approved before we drove all the way out there. I love the due diligence the staff does to find the right match for the animals in their care. They really take the time to look at their temperament and the homes they'd be going to and making sure both the family and the animal are happy. Excellent process overall, and we highly recommend working with Marion Area Humane Society if you find an animal you love!
