After waiting at the entrance, the host simply asked, "How many?" then grabbed menus and walked off toward a booth without saying "Follow me" or offering any kind of welcome. She tossed the menus on the table and walked away--no greeting, no "Your server will be right with you," nothing. We sat for 15 minutes without a single server acknowledging us or taking a drink order. Looking around, we noticed other tables had drinks, but hardly anyone seemed to be having their orders taken. Eventually, we left and headed to Cracker Barrel, where both the service and the food were fantastic. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Kelly's Homestead Restaurant.

The hotdog are a little bit smaller than what Midwesterners normally expect but what they lacked in size they more than overcame in taste. Soft delicious buns with wonderful chili cheese and onions. I chose two hotdogs and it was the perfect amount for me. I might order three next time. My friend ordered one hotdog and a bowl of spaghetti with chili and cheese. She loved it. We thought this was going to be an order at the counter restaurant, but we're pleasantly surprised when we walked in the door and we're seated. Wonderful staff service. Bright atmosphere and very family friendly. Next time we visit the arc, we will definitely pop by for chili dogs.

My wife said "just the regular crust like the old fashioned LaRosa's pizza." The server said "oh, hand tossed." I nodded and said I guess so. She brought us a pizza with an almost deep dish depth crust. My wife was visibly disappointed and server said "what's wrong?" My wife said "that's a thick crust. I wanted a regular pizza crust." Our server said "oh you probably wanted THIN CRUST" and that was it. She left. The manager walked by and I asked politely "excuse me, is this really a hand tossed crust?" I got a look like maybe he knew why I was asking. He said "yeah, that's what that is." So I said, "we are waiting on some rondos because our first order got....dropped?" He casually said "they're working on it" and left. We grew up going to LaRosa's in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky and it was always great, and the Dry Ridge location used to be good, too. But I won't be going back. If you want LaRosa's go further North. This place is not worth a visit.

There were two tables of people there when we arrived and it was fairly quiet. We ordered and sat at a table and noticed there was seating outside so we moved outside to soak up some sunshine. My husband ordered a strawberry shake and large order of fries to split and we both had the single bacon cheese burger. I had mine on a gluten free bun. The burgers came out and our mouths fell open. They were beautiful with the beef, bacon, cheese, sliced onion and tomato and special sauce. We could just get our mouths open enough for a bite. Wonder how that works with the double burger. The first bite was WOW. Now this is what a burger should taste like. And the hand cut fries were delicious also. I tased my husband's strawberry shake and that was also excellent, so much so that he felt better that they were out of chocolate...lol. The chef asked us on our way out how our food was. Seemed a little light, even tho I ordered a large tea, after merging back onto I75N I took a sip of my Chai Tea from Dunkin.....it was peewarm. Peewarm! I called them, told them about my tea, and that I would never be back. I drive that stretch of road a lot lately and could easily go back, but I'll stop at Starbucks because I have never gotten a peewarm anything from there.
