We stopped in on our way to our hotel around 2:30 on a Thursday afternoon. They were out of sweet tea and chocolate shakes. There were two tables of people there when we arrived and it was fairly quiet. We ordered and sat at a table and noticed there was seating outside so we moved outside to soak up some sunshine. My husband ordered a strawberry shake and large order of fries to split and we both had the single bacon cheese burger. I had mine on a gluten free bun. The burgers came out and our mouths fell open. They were beautiful with the beef, bacon, cheese, sliced onion and tomato and special sauce. We could just get our mouths open enough for a bite. Wonder how that works with the double burger. The first bite was WOW. Now this is what a burger should taste like. And the hand cut fries were delicious also. I tased my husband's strawberry shake and that was also excellent, so much so that he felt better that they were out of chocolate...lol. The chef asked us on our way out how our food was. My wife & I were driving back to Indy from Lexington. We were checking Yelp along the way, looking for someplace to eat. This place popped up & we thought it looked good, so we stopped in. The outside looked quite nice, as did the interior. There were plenty of seats inside, but we sat on the very large patio, since it was nice out. We ordered two bacon cheeseburgers, large fries & two drinks. Everyone we interacted with were very friendly! The burgers were HUGE & amazing in construction & taste!! The fries & Hansie sauce were very good, as were the fountain drinks. The prices were pretty good, well, especially since we got the singles & not the double burgers. One of the people even suggested another restaurant in town if we ever came thru again! How classy is that?! We will definitely be back if we are even remotely close to here in the future. My wife and I stumbled into this gem of a restaurant by sheer happenstance. The young man that took our order was a breath of fresh air. Nicely dressed and what great hospitality. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger, large fries and an unsweetened tea. The food was delivered to our table in short order by another bright and sweet employee. The bacon cheeseburger was delicious and the fries were steak cut and fried perfectly. This is a very nice establishment, nicely decorated and super clean. So my best friend and I drove down from the Cincy area (1 hour drive) because I wanted to drive across 22. But knee we would need to eat so I looked and found this place. You want in and the counter is at the far end. We got in line and hand a few minutes to read the limited menu. My friend ordered the double cheeseburger with small fry and a milkshake. Sadly the milk shack machine was down. So got a soda. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger small fry and an Ale8. We got our number and sat down. There was also lots of seating outdoors. Looking around you can tell the owner likes clocks. There must have been at least 20 or more hanging on the walls. Cuckoo clocks in grandfather clocks. We got our burgers, which were absolutely huge and fresh cut homemade fries, the fries were absolutely delicious and perfectly well prepared the burger was worth the hour drive to say the least probably one of the better burgers I've had and I've eaten a lot of burgers over the years. The staff appeared to be very friendly and what interactions we did have with them. They were very polite and knowledgeable. I will say if I'm ever driving down 75 again and I happen to be hungry I will literally drive the 1 mile out of my way to come here to eat . The burger, the fries everything was just perfect. BEST BURGER EVER! No, I don't say that lightly. This beats Five Guys, Burgatory, you name it & burgers are not my first choice food! But I would have this multiple times. Food was able to be seen cooking in the kitchen at the order counter, so many burgers with cheese on that flattop! Beef is local, fresh, & delicious! Bacon Cheeseburger was cooked perfectly with a little bit of pink at some points which I prefer (although you don't get asked how you want your burger cooked) & the Fries were fresh cut but thick! Still had that soft, meaty potato inside instead of them being overcooked, I was thrilled! Prices aren't horrible at all either, I think I paid around $14 for the burger, large fry, and 20oz drink! read more

Our whole family had a great experience at Hansie Flip Burgers. The burgers, fries and milkshakes were delicious.

I wanted to love this place because of its uniqueness and all the great reviews. However, our food order was not up to par. For starters, our burgers came out burnt and they served them to us like that. I took them to the counter and asked for new ones. They brought new set of burgers out which took a bit to get, and these were burnt also - just not as burnt as the first ones. We finally gave up and took a few bites and then left. We had high hopes for this place but after our first experience here I doubt we will be giving it a second chance. read more

Burgers are incredible. The meat tastes high quality and was well seasoned. They are good at assembling the burger as well. Sometimes restaurants can make them sloppily and they just fall apart. Just be aware that everything is sold separately. They don't have a combo option. Furthermore, I love the decor with all the grandfather clocks. Lastly, the workers were kind and very helpful. Out for a spin in our convertible we happened upon Hansie Flip Burgers and OH BOY!!! What a great pit stop. Cool vibe, extremely friendly staff and the star of the show.....An AMAZING burger. Beef was juicy and flavorful, the handcut fries were cooked to perfection and it washed down quite nicely with a local beer while enjoying the great weather on the patio. The burger here in my opinion rivals some of the overpriced meatwads I have had at other establishments. This place will now be on my road trip for good eats schedule. read more
