We stop here when we are driving back to Lexington from Northern Kentucky. The last two visits have been very disappointing. The service has been slipping, the food hasn't been up to par either. Today we stopped by for a late lunch/early supper and there was only one other party in the dining room. We were seated back to back in adjoining booths. I understand ergonomics and servers don't want to walk all over the building for their tables, but every party seated after us was almost in direct contact. We heard everything they said, they could follow along with our discussions, it was too much. You have dozens of tables and we're seated like lifeboats tied together after a shipwreck. The order of LaRosa's appetizer Rondos arrived with the server telling us she dropped one on the floor so the kitchen crew was going to make us another one. It arrived with our check right before we left. When ordering my wife gave our pizza order, the server asked what kind of crust. My wife said "just the regular crust like the old fashioned LaRosa's pizza." The server said "oh, hand tossed." I nodded and said I guess so. She brought us a pizza with an almost deep dish depth crust. My wife was visibly disappointed and server said "what's wrong?" My wife said "that's a thick crust. I wanted a regular pizza crust." Our server said "oh you probably wanted THIN CRUST" and that was it. She left. The manager walked by and I asked politely "excuse me, is this really a hand tossed crust?" I got a look like maybe he knew why I was asking. He said "yeah, that's what that is." So I said, "we are waiting on some rondos because our first order got....dropped?" He casually said "they're working on it" and left. We grew up going to LaRosa's in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky and it was always great, and the Dry Ridge location used to be good, too. But I won't be going back. If you want LaRosa's go further North. This place is not worth a visit. read more

Food overall knocked it out of the park!!! Our waitress, Emmarie did an outstanding job and when she was given the task of a table of 20 that showed up she had another waitress assist and did a top notch job. I had the fish hogie and my wife had a half blt hogie with a side salad and we had spinach rondo's for our appetizer. Highly recommend!!! Wish we lived closer. A great place for lunch in Dry Ridge. The Big Italian Lunch is a good price and comes with a decent amount of food - I'm partial to their Baked Onion Soup. Service is always quick. I also like how they decorated with the local high school teams in some of their dining rooms - gives it a hometown feel, even for a big chain like LaRosas. Definitely a place to consider if you're driving through and need lunch! read more

Eight of us stopped for dinner. Promptly seated and after a bit of a wait our server took our drink orders. Bartender had to deliver some of them, and server delivered the rest so it took a few more minutes. A few in our group got the Pizza Bowls-nice variety to choose from and very saucy. I had the Steak Hoagy. It's basically a hamburger patty with the toppings. It was ok, but nothing remarkable. Others got various pizzas. Also ok. Great service for a busy Friday night. We stopped in after a long day on the road and were greeted with a friendly smile and we really did not feel like waiting for a table because they were very busy and did not feel up to a 20 minute wait so we stepped over to the to-go counter and placed our order for a small pizza and wings. Our food came out very quickly and when we got back to our hotel room the food was still hot and we found it delicious. Their wings are on par with any other chain restaurant wings that I have tried and the pizza was very well topped and cooked to perfection. My family and I rented a B&B house close to this pizza place and decided to order a delivery pizza. The delivery man was super nice and courteous. The time it took to get the pizza was very reasonable. As far as the pizza quality, it was very good. However, I have to admit, I'm used to the pizza's in Texas. Thanks to the Cincinnati Reds pitching on 07/14 and the La Rosa's deal if you have a Reds ticket for a game where the pitchers combine for 11 strike outs, my entire group got a free small one topping pizza. Our group of nine was able to enter our ticket numbers into a La Rosas website to get a code for each free pizza. After entering each ticket code and getting the responding code for a free pizza, I ordered nine one topping pizzas (4 double cheese, 2 pepperoni and 3 sausage) online. We ordered all three different crusts (thin, original, and pan). All for free. Literally every pizza was free. I then proceeded to the restaurant which is new and located in a new set of stores. They have both counter service and dine in. The dining area looked very family friendly. It took only 15 minutes to get my order ready and the staff was kind enough to bag all the small boxes up so I would not have to carry them out. When I got the pizza back to our hotel, we found the pizzas to be delicious and well cooked. My pan pizza with sausage maybe had a little too much sauce (it dropped on my shirt) but I am not complaining bc I like a lot of sauce. No one had any complaints on any of their pies. Would love to come back and try some other stuff they make (like a sandwich) when I am in the area again. read more

Ordered a pickup. When I ordered, they said 15 minutes, and it's a 20-minute drive, but when I got there, the food was still very hot. I ordered the deluxe hoagies; they are so delicious. It's my favorite thing of theirs, but others got pizza and calzones; everything was fixed as we asked and was nice and hot. The staff was very friendly. read more

Excellent pizza. Where I come from, a small is usually a 12" size pie. I knew their small was smaller before ordering. This is more like a personal size pizza than a small. The pizza was very good and the service was spot on. I was online in town for a few days and I liked it enough that this was this only location I visited twice in my 3 days. The service was horribly slow - it took 90 minutes to get an appetizer and two pizzas -- all of which tasted as if it had been cooked from frozen. Outstanding quality and a wonderful family meal. Boys had the small lasagna and the spaghetti and Meat ball. They finished them all completely and really enjoyed them. I had the three meat calzone which was wonderful and cooked completely. My wife had the spaghetti and meat balls (3). Liked the options of the many coke products available with the meals. Our drinks never went empty and we were check on several times but nothing that was a bother. Noticed as parties left there tables they were cleaned quickly. Hadn't tried this particular LaRosa's location before but have generally had good experiences at other locations. Our waitress was very prompt and helpful. The bench seats felt very worn out and I found myself shifting constantly to find a comfortable position during our visit. My lady had the lasagna which she enjoyed and I ordered a supreme pizza with a pan crust. My pizza crust was nowhere near the pan crust and was very under cooked and doughy. When I pointed it out to our waitress, she went and told the manager who promptly visited our table. He offered to make me a new pizza (I had already eaten almost half of mine...I was hungry!) but I declined. He then returned with our tab and took half off of our entire meal which I thought was generous. Not sure what the problem was in the kitchen that night but it's not been my typical visit to LaRosa's. Probably because won't return to this location since we like the Independence location better. read more

I had a ggod experience while dining with my family. We spent the day at ARK ENCOUNTER in Williamstown, KY and decided to stay at the MICROTEL located right across the street. I ordered the Meat and Cheese Lasagna which was around $10.70 and a tall Miller Lite beer which was around $4 - $6... I really can't remember. The lasagna was like heaven. I don't know if it's the sauce or the fresh cheese, maybe it was the meat...I don't know. But whatever it was, my son LOVED it and thought there wasn't any meat in it - he didn't know; he couldn't tell - it was THAT GOOD! My nephew ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs and that looked and smelled awesome as well. My mother and sister ordered the Chicken Baked Ziti (I may be wrong) and they wolfed it down before I finished my beer. I definitely will stop here again when I visit the ARK ENCOUNTER and the CREATION MUSEUM the next time I roll through. read more

Located close to the Ark on our travels this place came highly recommended. We tried the mild boneless wings (had no sauce on them) for starters it was very plain. My wife decided to try the lasagna (not my wife's favorite) that came with bread and a side salad that we had to remind our waitress about. I choose he small meat lovers on wheat. The service wasn't the best we had to ask for utensils, plates, and refills. The place wasn't packed really disappointed. This place is not a Military friendly place. read more
