WARNING: Total Dishonesty & Odometer Discrepancies - Avoid Drive Town Ottawa…read moreRating:
Missed Delivery: After negotiating a price drop due to their initial dishonesty, I was supposed to take delivery on Monday. When I messaged Shan, I was simply told the vehicle "wasn't ready."
This dealership cuts massive corners, hides vehicle history, falsifies how long inventory has been driven, and clears engine codes rather than performing proper repairs. Do your homework, get an independent MTO history pull, and take any vehicle from here to your own mechanic.
I wanted to be done with the deal last week after I realized they are far from being 100% honest. If everything goes as planned and you leave with a car , there will most likely be no issue, they appear nice and try to look after you. However, when you find they have not been honest, it quickly becomes a screaming match. Shan and James will talk over you and not let you get a word in. They won't return my deposit as they say its been inspected already, not true. Since I didn't trust them I went directly to the mechanic, who they refused to give me the number or name too...I had to drive up and down the street to find them, third place I checked was correct. They could not tell me what was need for an inspection as they said I was number 45 in line. I ask about the check engine light that shan told me not as issue, they put the scan on while I was there and told me it was the oxygen sensor, I ask if it would be replaced and they said no, they cleared the light and if it came back on I could return. I am sorry I am paying out of pocket 25,000 dollars, I would expect this to be fixed. James , the owner apparently does not agree. They won't return my deposit, but I will do the necessary steps to get it back. Like I said to Shan that I am a single mom, I can't afford to lose this money but I have lost trust in them. I had originally posted a review on Shan at his request, he ask me to give him a good review and I did as at that time there were no issues, now that I am updating two weeks later I have been threatened with a lawyer if I do so. I am sorry but I can be honest. My advice, don't trust their mechanics, do your research, get a seller's/Buyers package front MTO SERVICE ONTARIO FOR $20, It very well could save you down the road. This experience has added a whole new meaning to the role of a "salesperson" they are there to convince you that you are getting a good deal. I will 100% be escalating this to the proper authority, including MTO, OMVIC, BBB ETC...Shan kept saying there was something wrong with me because I took issue with the incorrect Kms on the documents they provided me and the fact I said they would have told me they used the van and put 7 or 8 thousand kms on it transporting material to a cottage, at least this is what I was told . Then the kms on the van was higher than in the final contract by about 1500. There is a 1000 km dealer warranty that would have been completely voided the minute I drove away as the vans actual kms had already surpassed it. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.. YOU CAN'T JUST PUT TRUST INTO ANYONE THESE DAYS.
I recorded the conversation from the mechanic for my proof and downloaded the original ad, along with conversation with shan. Both Sham and James have lied to me. They say your getting an awesome deal, why complain ? It's not that awesome, it's 2018 t250 with almost 200,000 kms listed for about 27,000 and I bargained down to 25,000
