I purchased the following brands here for great prices, some garments even had the original tags on them: St John, Free People, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein. If you're looking for designer labels for a discounted rate, definitely stop by to take a look. The two ladies who were operating the store when I was there were lovely and accommodating. I absolutely love how they personalize their price tags with a caption for each item. Such a unique concept! However, the one complaint I have is what they were charging for handbags which were clearly knock-offs/replicas. Non-authentic "Gucci" or "Fendi" products should not be $300+. Visibly uneven stitching, chintzy zippers, & peeling hardware should be automatic indicators of a fake. Other thrift stores I have been do required a certificate of authenticity in order for a product to receive that high of a price tag. I have also seen stores label fake bags as "replicas" and they were therefore cheaper. Just something for both managers & customers to be aware of. Other than that, this is a really good stop for a thrifter. One of the best on Cape. So many designers and couture items. Definitely will be returning. Brought clothes in...they were duhonest aout dropoff dates...took a month to get back to me and then told me I had one day to come get the stuff they dont want but i was away and coukdnt make it.I begged them to keep it till i get back because there were nice clothes that i wanted back ...but they woulnt and took my clothes to goodwill....and then were nasty and rude to me...never again read more

Front section included many new pieces, especially jeans. Clothing was good quality ranges in sizes for all, men included. Vintage section in the back was full of dresses galore. Prom season is approaching and this store has a nice selection to choose from. Shoes available too but not the highlight. Unfortunately after spending quite some time in the store I was never addressed by any of the employees, even after standing at the register immediately in front of them while viewing jewelry. For me, customer service makes or breaks where I patronize. Really wanted to purchase a nice designer wallet but decided to leave empty handed. read more

If you make a trip to the Cape, you must stop and visit this wonderful shop. It is filled with incredible hidden treasures. For those like me who love the thrill of the hunt and is always on the lookout for that "something special", you'll be surprised at the wide selection. You can even find the occasional designer gem if you act fast. Personally, I missed the opportunity to snag a beautiful designer handbag but still found other great pieces that were priced well. The owners are incredibly helpful and go out of their way to assist you. They are professional, patient, and hardworking women running a spectacular shop. Thanks to their keen eye for great buys, their customers have the opportunity to truly enjoy some unique and hard to find gems. I only wished I lived closer so I could shop here more often. This store has made my "must go to" list for my annual trip to the Cape. I look forward to visiting them again. read more

This review is actually for the Yarmouth store, which doesn't seem to have its own listing on here.. I discovered this cute store last summer and have been back a number of times since, whenever I'm in the area I try to stop in and see what they have. They have some cute designer bags, prices are a little higher than I'm willing to pay for used (especially when Macys, Lord and Taylor and BonTon are all having killer sales on NEW designer bags) but some of them were reasonable. Their clothing selection is okay, prices aren't bad and they have a great selection of prom dresses if you have teenagers you can probably save a ton of money.. I'm sorry to say the jewelry selection sucks. Either the good stuff goes really fast or no one in this area trades in jewelry. The junk (for lack of a better word!) jewelry that's out as you walk into the store is okay.. they had a few cute pieces, but the items in the locked case weren't that great. I'd like to say customer service was excellent, but unfortunately I can't. Most of the times I've been in there theres a woman with dark hair working, who doesn't even bother to acknowledge me or anyone else walking in the store.. theres been a man there a few times whos a little friendlier, but if I was going in here for the customer service alone, I would have never gone back a second time. i'm a huge lover of consignment shops and thrift shops, even Salvation Army stores and Savers cause you never know what you're going to get.. but good customer service goes a long way.. and honestly, a simple hello when a customer walks in the store would be nice.. the dark haired woman was working Saturday when I was in there and she was pretty much ignoring everyone in the store. I have regular stores that I visit whenever I'm in certain areas and Wicked Thrift is one of them.. but Its probably going to get knocked off the list pretty soon, mainly because of the rudeness but also because I've never found anything in there worth buying.. Loved there vast array of clothes & reasonable prices but hated how they stole my clothes and lied about getting back to me. Called many times , left manyyyyyyy messages , emailed & finally snail mail . After two months ( at least!!!) , owner finally calls me & says she has been very busy but she will get back to me . She neverrrr did & she never again returned any further correspondences.Why any grown person would ever treat someone like this I do not know ; it takes a " special kind of _ _ _ _ " to act this way & someone who has no regard for their word! Amazingggg!! I've never seen such a cool spot with wide range of unique and vintage pieces. It really is like going through art... beautiful wearable art. There's also a large selection of more modern and recent items. Jeans, tops, jewelry.. all interesting and like nothing you'll find everywhere. I didn't know what to expect going in, but had such a good experience and talked to the super cool shop owner. The coat I purchased has received many compliments by passerby's. Wicked Thrift is a lot of fun. There are two sides to the store - a modern thrift section and a vintage section. Although I haven't purchased anything from the vintage side yet, I love going in and checking out all of the fun dresses and playing with the jewelry. I have had some good luck in the modern side of the store. Last summer I purchased a super flattering multi-colored v-neck shirt that I wear all the time, some cool convertible skirts (double-sided, can be converted from skirt to dress with creative tying - so fun in the summer), and a hot pair of platform heels that I love. They have men's clothes too, which is good because I think I made a convert out of my hubby. He is obsessed with cords and scored a couple of pairs last time we were there. Like any thrift store, it can be hit or miss, but that's part of the fun. They get new clothes in constantly so the selection is always changing. They also have a big range of sizes - I saw juniors to plus size - so anyone can shop there and find something that will fit them. I also love that they get all of their goods by trading with their own customers; I haven't traded yet but have a bag waiting for the next time I visit the Cape. Driving down Rt. 28 in EW. Dennis we tripped upon what just might have been a carnival ....no wait...it's a new wave thrift shop. From the minute we parked the car we knew that we had found a really fun place to shop. The store owner "Tammy" greated us at the door with a smile and gave us a "heads-up" on her concept and what we could find in her shop. She is simply delightful and fun. There is something for everyone here and you will have as much fun reading her tags as you will buying the merchandise which ranges from Old Navy to Chico's to high end Fry boots. Let me start by saying this store had about 85% women's clothes and 15% men's. So right off the bat that would not suit me. I gave it four stars because the woman behind the counter was very friendly, there was a big store dog that was so lethargic it seemed dead, and it was a pretty funky old Victorian. I very much dislike the use of the word "wicked" in advertisements. I see this most often on ads in the MBTA and on billboards around Boston, normally done by large corporations that use it as a marketing ploy to connect with the populace. I'll let it slide this time as it's local. The clothes seemed pretty vintage and the place was cool but I didn't find anything. Hope they buy more men's items and even some old knick knacks for the next time I stop in. read more

If this thrift store were a band it would be the Beatles. No doubt about it. Ironically this is my 2nd visit in 1 year to their store. My first was last july and I got a vintage Ronson lighter (which I still have yet to get filled and repaired, but it is from the late 1940's and that's another story for yet another time......) Since last year was one of those happy accident discoveries made with friends while driving, I knew I had to go back this year. The store is divided into women's and mens sections. In fact Tammy (who I assume is the one in charge) even commented to me that they did expand their men's section compared to last year. There is a great selection of vintage stuff ranging from about the 1940's (perhaps even as early as the 1930's or even 1920's) all the way to more recent vintage clothing and accessories. I have always found the staff friendly and very helpful. I even got to chat with Tammy's father this time around. Really it feels like you are coming back to see old friends. The prices seem very reasonable compared to what you would pay brand new. Make no mistake, this ain't the Gap or J Crew (not that there is anything wrong with those stores.) This is a unique collection of stuff. On this visit I found a vintage tweed blazer for $25 which seemed at least half of what you would pay in a department store. Being that this is memorial day as I write this (the sound of grills slowly dying out as reality looms.......) I will be wearing it to work tomorrow. When people ask where I got it, I will gladly tell them. I will happily return when I visit the Cape again. You really can't get these types of experiences at any run of the mill place. Also, if people can't make it to the Cape, they do actually have an online presence. Not sure if I can mention other sites on this one, but just check the site out and you will see. Two words: local gem. I'll start this review the way 90% of my reviews start, I'm from LA and it's different there, blah blah blah. How is it different? Well, when it comes to consignment and second hand, you've got a HUGE selection of places to shop. There's your Salvation Army, (true thrift, very cheap stuff that smells horrible, sometimes you find something amazing) all the way up to the studio stores that sell off costumes after they're done with production (amazing quality, sometimes collectable costumes or one of a kind pieces, the best true designer labels, cheaper than new but not cheap) and of course, the vintage stores, which stock nothing but vintage and are generally more expensive than a true thrift store. Consignment shops are a different thing entirely, carrying mass-market brands than you can find at retail (think Michael Kors, Marc by Marc, Trina Turk, that kind of stuff) but at a significant discount because someone bought it for full price, wore it once, and then realized it'd been sitting in the closet for two years. Wicked Thrift & PopRock is an interesting hybrid, although I wouldn't consider it a thrift store. As I mentioned before, thrift stores have a distinctive second hand odor, and while I absolutely love them, walking into a thrift store is like playing the slots... you might end up with three cherries, two bars and a gold tiara, or you might walk out with nothing at all. The merchandise here is FAR better than what you would find at Saver's. The Wicked Thrift side has consignment merchandise that's in very good used condition, with brand names that you know and would wear. I did see that they've got a ton of formal wear post-Prom, and I gotta say, you'd have to be a sucker to buy a prom dress full-price. You will literally never in your life wear that thing again. Ten years from now, you will be embarrassed that you spent $500+ on it. Trust me, I'm old and I know. Get that dress from a consignment shop, and sell it back when you're done with it. The PopRock side of the store leaves me a little breathless. It's vintage like I have not seen in years, it filled me with reverie to be among it. It makes me want to channel my inner diva, who would bat her long, false lashes from under the veil of a delicate pillbox hat and whisper "it's a spectacular collection of garments, accessories, and other pieces that has been lovingly curated by someone who loves feathers and sequins and satins and shapes and hats and gloves and train cases as much as Ditta Von Teese and I do." On my recent visit I spent quite a few minutes not just browsing, but carefully admiring items on the vintage side, and I found several things that really got my wheels turning! If you've got a diva in you, you should bring her into PopRock and let her out. All in all, Wicked Thrift & PopRock is worth a trip across the bridge and down the Cape if you're looking to purchase something unforgettable for a performance, party, prom, or even just a Tuesday afternoon. read more

I have never experienced anything like that ... a retailer refusing to sell me something in which I was genuinely interested? Very odd. I do not think I will be back. The variety of styles of clothes & funky accessories spans multiple decades and changes with every visit. Secondhand doesn't mean low quality; some things even have tags on them still! We loved Wicked Thrift! My husband found an amazing Nicole Miller suede coat with the tags still on for $35. I found a pebbled leather Dooney and Bourke for 60, an H and M dress for 20 and an Ann Taylor jacket for 15. Everything has a tag with a cute description and the staff are very helpful.
