So a good friend of mine kept on telling me that I should come here because the ice cream was really good and had a fair variety. Variety I'm not so sure of but the ice cream didn't disappoint. A girl helped me she didn't have her name tag on but she seemed a little upset so I asked her if she was ok, she replied yes just that she was working really hard so before ordering I stepped back to observe & she was right she was basically running the entire front end dealing with taking orders listening to rude customers & getting orders out as fast as she could still wearing a smile on her face kudos to her I would of strangled somebody by now lol. Because of her unwavering actions my ice cream tasted even better. I asked to speak with her manager who seemed like they were running the back end of the house there for never making it to front end to greet me. The ambiance was dated & could use an update. I wish I knew the girls name so I could tell you folks to head on over to experience the well mannered employee and let her know that she is doing a great job. OK Victorville I wanted a beef chili dog today so I went into Wienerschnitzel 1 7th St. through the drive-through. I ordered two chili dogs with onions light and I noticed on the menu. They had a fish and chips. I really had a taste for some fish I was going to cook at home but you know let me let me try this. I ordered the fish and chips cooked well done crispy and then I got to the window I asked for tartar sauce it was in the bag I pulled over and I said let me eat the fish first the tartar sauce was in a I believe a 2 ounce cup so it wasn't in the package and it was cold. I opened it. The fish was like a strip nice strip wet better look crunchy hot I picked it up. It dipped it into the tartar sauce and I was amazed now wait a minute now I know it's not grandma's Fish or Mr. gumbo's Fish or Ronald's Fish but I was amazed that this was some very good fish. The taste was good. The tartar sauce was cold. The fish was crunchy hot I was just amazed. it tasted good. I finished it. I sat there to savor the taste and I had to convince myself to get back in line again to buy it again to see what I imagine Ing things I went through. I ordered made it to window smiles because you know I just came through got my order went back sit down and it was the same so what I'm saying is that if you're in the taste for some fish and I've lived in Victorville for 20 years and you don't want to regular old fish sandwiches from other fast food try this the wieners schnitzel fish and chips I'm telling you it's really good. And now I was ready for five more. And I've been thinking about it for a while. Anyway, on my way home this evening, I realized that I was hungry, that I had no food in the house, and that I didn't feel like going shopping so late at night. So I swung into the Line for my local Victorville Wienerschnitzel drive thru (yes, there WAS a Line), licking my lips, thinking about which five dollar Meal-Deal to get. I could choose a regular hot dog, or a chili dog, or a corn dog, which is always fun. Or I could mix & match. Yum. But when I got to the menu board I was shocked to see that instead of five dollars, it was now $7.99. That's EIGHT BUCKS - Three Dollars More - almost Twice the Price as Before. DAMN! But I can't blame the one poor girl who was running the whole place, late at night, all by herself. Afterall, this is a Franchise, and the main office sets all the prices. In fact Wienerschnitzel is the biggest HOT DOG vendor franchise in the world. Don't let the Austrian name, "Wienerschnitzel" mislead you: this place has NOTHING to do with Austrian "Schnitzel" or a German "Wurst". In fact, it barely has anything to do with Hot Dogs either: at least not the hot dogs that I grew up with in Chicago, or learned to enjoy at the stands in New York, or the street-grills in Los Angeles. They also offer a couple of sandwiches and some soft serve ice cream and shakes, all of which make me afraid. Went thru drive thru and ordered the #5 the food was okay. Not the best they've done but they took forever in giving me my food. Not when they took my card tho, they took that real quick. The people were okay, but like half an hr later I've been feeling just awful. Turns out I believe I got food poisoning from them, hadn't eaten anything beforehand or anything just had water. This store is one of the worst. The location does not check their drive thru orders when they give you your food. I have been coming to this location for 3+ years and the last few times I have visited they have been very bad with their service. The last time I visited this store they shorted my order while in the drive thru. When I called the store after I got home to complain a very unenthusiastic employee he knew exactly what items he had shorted me as he was looking right at the items. He said to come back and get the missing items but I refused to spend more money on gasoline and time to fix their mistake. I advise people to avoid going to this location and if you do go here and use the drive thru, grab the bags and check your entire order before you leave the drive thru window because I guarantee you they did not check it. I can give a 3 star because service was spectacular product was not. I put my rating right in the middle. I asked for 6 chili dogs and large chili cheese fries and the price was that of a sit down restaurant. Can't charge restaurant quality/experience at only fast food/convenience quality. Thankfully, I believe employees who are as good as the ones I encountered are good and will have no issue getting hired elsewhere, but if the price is going to be that crazy for some discount hotdogs, then nothing can save this business. We do love us some Wienerschnitzel we were in Victorville for an event and stopped by this location to eat lunch. Employees were friendly. Not a busy location for lunch time anyways. The restaurant itself APPEARED clean. Unfortunately, we had ordered our food before we used their restroom! Walking down the hall way on the way to the restroom you wonder what is that smell? Upon opening the door all you smell is a strong smell of urine, it hits you in the face like a ton of bricks. The Entire bathroom is wet. I've never seen or smelled anything like it. It was positively GROSS. FYI The Drink machine is behind the counter. APPALLING CONDUCT BY STAFF!!! Please read: I was shopping all am. Went to Weinerschnitzel to meet my family for lunch. However, I arrive 1st & really needed to use the restroom. They refused to unlock for me. I explained, I was going to make a purchase, but just needed to go potty very bad first. I was told loudly, on no uncertain terms, that I would not be allowed access to the restrooms until I became a "paying customer." I am not homeless, nor do I even look homeless! My wife and I visited this location so that my 3 and 6 year olds could use the restroom. The person at the register, Yesenia, made my wife wait while my children danced around and almost soiled themselves. Yesenia explained that it was store policy to have the customer purchase something before they can be allowed to use the restroom. My wife asked if the kids could use the restroom first and then she would purchase something. Today is my son's 6th birthday and my wife was going to purchase him and our other two kids ice cream as well as a drink for herself. Yesenia said she had to purchase something first and then they would be allowed access to the coveted restroom. I understand that, because the area we live in has a lot of issues with homeless and restroom abuse, policies like these are in place but at what point do common sense, customer service, and just plain human decency go out the window? We live in Las Vegas and we're driving back from a weekend trip to Disneyland. We had to stop for lunch so we pulled off in Victorville. Pulled into Wienerschnitzel to get lunch and we both had to really use the restroom. When I asked for the key to the restroom I was told she had to take our order first. Meanwhile my husband and I are standing there doing a potty dance and can't even think straight. Mind you we don't look homeless or like we're up to trouble. So we both left and Wales next door to Carl's Jr. where we were immediately given the restroom code and then we're able to comfortably look at the menu and ended up spending over $20 at Carl's.
