Driving from a Las Vegas weekend to LA, we stopped after a friend's recommendation. They did not steer us wrong. The food was delicious- fresh ingredients, well-seasoned burgers, delicious fries and drinks. More than ample portions. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food came right out exactly as we ordered it. They received 5 stars based on the food and service alone. The ambience was questionable- the dining room was very unattractive overall. We chose to eat in our car instead. The parking lot was also not well made or maintained. Burger is still the best tasting. I always order their Classic Burger because I don't like excessive toppings overshadowing the juicy, delicious beef. Grinding their beef in house definitely makes a difference. I usually enjoy their Chickenator Fries but this time it looks like the recipe has changed. It still tastes good with their spicy sauces but I remembered that the chicken used to be pieces of grilled breast meat. This time, the cashier asked the chef if there was any chicken left for the Chickenator Fries. He said "yes," went to the freezer and showed her a frozen stick of ground chicken. Albeit, the ground chicken was seasoned well and tasted good; I was just expecting chicken breast meat. Also, the fries were very dark in my portion. They are still the same creamy textured Kennebec potatoes as before but seemed tired and old. Service was okay. They are not really set up for cash sales anymore since there was only 36 cents in their till for change at the time. Dining areas were clean but the interior is due for an update. read more

An absolute gem in the high desert!! If you drive past this place, you would keep driving. I'm telling you, hit the brakes and make that right or left turn into the parking lot! They grind their own meat for the burgers in the kitchen. This little place is a craft burger place. I got the classic medium rare. It was cooked to perfection. The taste was better than any burger I have had in years, and I've had plenty of burgers. Pastrami Sandwich did not disappoint. I was told they buy a pre-made brisket and make the au jus it's simmered in. Served on buttered and grilled French roll with pickles and mustard. $18. To be honest, their "Belgian Fries" are lousy. They were soft and not crispy as advertised. You HAVE TO make your own twice-cooked fries at home because it is worth the effort. Restaurants never do this properly. Zucchini were crispy and fresh, excellent. N.B. I recently went to NY City and visited Katz's Deli which is famous for their homemade pastrami and delicious sandwiches. It is a real Jewish deli because they take the long way to brine the meat, about a month long process. The result is a very tender brittle meat that flakes apart. So it's time to get in the kitchen and make your own corned beef and smoked pastrami! read more

First of all, my husband is a Coca Cola guy and this place serves Pepsi, which seems to be the norm in the high desert. But just an fyi if you're the type of person that needs a coke with your burger. We came here because we had heard all a lot of good feedback, but we were let down. However, these customizations were not executed well. The caramelized onions were burnt and cold, I guess it's a jam? I can't recall. The fries on chili cheese fries were over done, almost as if they were refried and topped with chili. My onion rings were overly battered, too thick. And their housemade thousand was not it. Establishment is in ok shape, inside cleanliness not so good, pricing is complicated everything comes separate so it all becomes over priced for no reason the reason this place is still standing is because the food quality so drive thru but be prepared for up charge. The burger was big, tasty, and fresh. The zucchini fries were cooked to perfection. Not too soggy - nice and crisp. It took a while to order, but I could tell the staff was working really hard and my food came out quickly. A bit more pricey than chain spots like in n out, but for what you'd pay at Tams just down the road I got a much better meal. I was in Victorville for a day and if i had to choose a restaurant, guess where I went? Apollo restaurant of course!! People recommended me to eat here and one of them said the burgers are amazing and he couldn't finish the entire burger and recommended me to get the sliders. I walked into the restaurant and was looking at the menu for the sliders but I couldn't find it. When I asked the cashier, she pointed to a laminated paper menu on the counter specifically for the sliders. i ordered Lil Nickies Sliders ($9.62) and a side of fries ($4.50). The sliders were cheeseburger with freshly made chili. It very good but I thought it was a bit pricey for the portion. On the other hand, the fries were half the price of the sliders but the portion was bigger (see photo). It was so much food, I didn't finish the fries.
