I honestly can't thank Rosalind enough for everything she did for me. Going through a parenting…read moreplan and child support case was really stressful, but she made the whole process so much easier. She explained everything in a way I could actually understand, kept me informed, and was always there when I had questions or needed reassurance. I always felt like she genuinely cared about me and my family, not just my case. She paid attention to every detail and worked so hard to help me get the best outcome possible. In the end, I got exactly what I was hoping for with my parenting plan and child support, and I truly don't think I could have done it without her. If you're looking for someone who's knowledgeable, compassionate, and will go the extra mile for you, I absolutely recommend Rosalind. I'm so grateful I had her in my corner.

Expensive, Slow, and the Agreement Already Fell Apart…read more I used Truce Law in 2023/24 for my divorce, involving both children and financial assets to divide. I worked directly with Justin. He is convincing, knowledgeable, and genuinely makes you feel like the collaborative approach will protect your kids and your interests. That pitch is what sold me. I wish the execution had matched it. The process involves paying for an entire team Justin recommends: a mediator, a Divorce Financial Analyst, and attorneys for both parties (including Justin himself). At the hourly rates involved, you expect competence. What I got was not meeting the expectation, at least from the Divorce Financial Analyst. The work product was so poor and unclear that I ended up rebuilding the asset division calculations myself from scratch, with full transparency and no ambiguity. That is work the analyst failed to do, repeatedly. Justin also dropped the ball on communication and follow-up. The agreement was not finalized on time. I had to push things forward myself over the Christmas break. His explanation was essentially that he was stretched thin across other cases. We eventually failed to have an agreement signed before the end of the year. The biggest promise of the collaborative approach is that a well-crafted agreement prevents future legal conflict. That promise has not held up. My agreement is ambiguous in key areas, and I am now dealing with exactly the kind of disputes they told me this process would prevent. Any vagueness in the document has become a point of contention. Long process, high cost, mediocre team, and an agreement that is already causing problems. I would not recommend this firm, do your homework.

Dealt with an extremely rude, incompetent, nasty girl named Mandy, Sarah Smith's assistant as well…read moreas Sarah herself, when I asked for a copy of my will you would have thought I asked for their kidneys, never got return calls, had to consistently call them myself, took over a week and they were so 'put out' and rude at the request, but finally agreed and i was told one price and to be ready to pay when I picked up my copy; they didn't have the invoice ready and kept me waiting 30 minutes and then is was wrong. When I questioned the discrepancy, Mandy looked at her wrist (no watch was present) and stated "I've wasted enough time with you"!! you would think an attorneys office would present a friendly, competent office, but they could care less about clients. Stay away from them!

I was Mr. Mullavey's secretary for a time in 1992. Their law office was very behind the times in…read moreterms of technology, so everything was unnecessarily difficult as they insisted on running their office in the dark ages. Mr. Mullavey was focused on the most minute details of his secretary's desk more than his own practice (micromanager). I saw evidence of a long line of former secretaries at that desk, not to mention what other staffers hinted at to me directly about Mr. Mullavey's difficulty holding onto secretaries and how impossible he was to work for. Then he was nice enough to take a few secretaries out for lunch on Administrative Professionals' Day to a nearby Ballard seafood restaurant. I never will forget the FIRST thing that came out of his mouth as he finally started to speak to me as a human and not his drone: "Don't you think you will have a hard time finding a husband at your current weight?" I guess he didn't know I had already been married for 9 years in the past. BTW, I was only 40 pounds overweight at the time, and at 5'9" I carried it pretty well, am a fairly snappy dresser for work and don't have too shabby of a face, and worked out a lot then. Needless to say I didn't work for him much longer. BTW, I've been happily married for a second time for 14 years now. I'm sure there are really nice staff and attorneys who work there, but Mr. Mullavey was a piece of work. I hope they have Microsoft Word by now...
