Nice strong hands. Which is what I look for. But Loves to talk. A very happy lady nonetheless. During the same call, I asked about pricing and whether I could arrive with my hair already washed. I was told the price would be the same whether I washed it myself or they washed it at the salon. When I arrived for my 11:30 appointment, there were approximately seven women sitting under dryers with rollers in their hair. I immediately became concerned about the wait time and asked if I would be seen soon. I was told I would first get my hair washed, then receive a 25-minute treatment, followed by rollers. That was not what I had requested. I explained that I had specifically called for a simple blow dry and had already discussed this over the phone. At that point, the woman I believe was the owner raised her voice and told me that she had "all the women that were there before me." It became clear that the salon's process involves additional services and significant waiting time, regardless of what was discussed when scheduling the appointment. Based on what I observed, clients were receiving treatments and then spending additional time under dryers before being styled. If you are looking for a salon that honors appointment times and clearly communicates expectations, this was not my experience. If you don't mind waiting well beyond your scheduled appointment, then this may work for you. Unfortunately, after this experience, I understand why there are so many complaints about long wait times. Very disappointing.

She was extremely judgmental and made my experience at the salon feel unwelcoming. I would not recommend this salon at all and will not be returning, which is unfortunate because I've been getting my hair done here for years with other stylists. And if you're unable to do someone's hair, then be honest and professional before ruining their experience at your establishment.

She wasn't in the salon when that happened, I already PAID, they did pin curls the night before and my hair came out horribly so I went back to just be blown out. I was LIVID. She never apologized then and she didn't apologize now. I'm a kind person and don't usually fuss about much but I used to go there weekly or biweekly, NOT ANYMORE!!! I would rather spend my money at places where I'm valued and respected. Deya owes me an apology and should tell the people who came after, to leave the chair like other salons when I'm out of the dryer, then take them when I'm finished!! I am just passing though NJ, but after some Google search I found this salon. It was close to me and the cost seemed reasonable on their website (135+ for bayalage). Which is totally normal for my hair, it's usually 250 after tip. My salon experience cost me 414 after tip, which is mind blowing-I was so flawed over the price my hair color didn't hit until the next morning. I shouldn't have offered to pay before the service was over, I was just being kind so the owner didn't have to come back and close up after us. I never got a recept or a breakdown of what I was charged for. I have a feeling I was charged for additional services I didn't ask for, nor should have been warranted for a bayalage. I had Yngrid as my stylist and I LOVE how she cut and thinned my hair, but she missed the mark on the color after showing her pictures and telling her how I wanted it. Ultimately my hair was just highlighted an ugly gray color, it was "glazed," which I've never had done, and a root treatment...the point of a bayalage is that it doesn't start at the root, which I had stated in the chair...I wanted it to start a few inches from my root. Therefore a root treatment should have never been needed to "blend" the color. While I was also getting my hair done a client came in because she was not happy of the color of her hair. If I had time I would have gone back to have them tone it but I'm on the go and work late. I took time out of work to have my hair done (it was very over due). Overall this salon over charges for services, and it seems like the artists just do their own thing. If you can't simulate the style in the photos don't do the hair!
