Poor experience after years of good service. I came down with Stage 1 Rectal Cancer and staff member Shamed and Guilt Tripped me for not believing in "God the Holy Spirit' or some such entity as strongly as I "should" ... "Given you have a cancer diagnosis"..." Don't you think now is the time to BELIEVE?" Whose business is that other than MINE? When leaving that day I was suicidal and jokingly thought of driving my car t-bone style into oncoming traffic. Asked if I could return after forgiving them and was told "let us know who your new primary care physician is and we'll forward your records to them". How self centered and insulting. Who would want to risk going to a place like that. Crucifixes had started appearing in all the exam rooms ... Should have seen it coming. Mind your own business when it comes to a person's religious beliefs or non-beliefs. I'm in recovery from addiction/alcoholism 47 years Clean and Sober now. My belief in a Higher Power is mine and works just fine. Crazy "Christian" nurses ... Stay out of my life. read more

Great practitioners. Absolute dumpster fire in the front in the front office. My wife has been pharmacy hopping because she can't get her prescriptions refilled. My son can't get a learners permit, and I nearly lost my job because we can't get appointments, even though Dr. Rank is our PCP. I have nothing but good things to say about about Dr. Rank and all of the practitioners here, at least that would the case if I could in fact say anything to them at all. I hope they see this and know how badly the laziness and incompetence of their front office is screwing them. read more

Been there July. Was with a Mr. Christian who offered to prescribe medications without any investigation of the medical condition. I just mentioned "I have this sometimes." "Oh, I can prescribe pills for that." Not really my type of medical advice. Got a bill yesterday (November) from them for that. That bill told me that my copayment was overdue - but of course I paid that back when I saw the doctor in July. Called in - left a message, never got a reply. Called in again, this time a real person, but guess what, instead of resolving the issue the lady in the billing department just hung up on me. Looks like they really have no clue how to organize billing and are very rude on top of that. read more

I stopped going here for a few years and recently needed a yearly physical for work so figured I would give them another shot because I saw a new nurse practitioner joined the team. I am glad I gave them another chance! The staff was really nice to deal with, a big change and Dabney Dunning is excellent! I highly recommend her. She has a great personality, really listens and is easy to talk to. Unfortunately, its really hard to find a good NP/Doctor in this area and I am so happy to have finally found one! Billing practices and billing manager are awful - we were denied insurance coverage upon check-in because they didn't think our BC/BS was in effect (it was). They refused to call BC/BS to confirm the coverage and forced my husband to pay them $125 in advance even though we owed $0 for the visit. Billing manager hung up on me and BC/BS while we were trying to resolve this on the phone. Now we're waiting for our refund. There are plenty of other primary care doctors out there who accept BC/BS, we don't need this headache with insurance claims. Also, they dropped my husband as a patient (under Dr. Rank) because he hadn't been there in 3 years; he'd been their patient for 20 years!!! read more

Have been going here for years. Excellent care and you may wait a bit longer but you are given the same time and heard as a patient, not rushed through as a number. The nurses and staff are always friendly. And we are grateful to have found a great NP dabney dunning, she is great! read more

Dr. Rank and the staff are top notch. I find the doctor to be very knowledgeable, patient, and he takes the time to talk to you. His staff are friendly and very helpful. The waiting room has a nice fish tank and a TV to pass the time if you have to wait a few minutes. Wiggington Road Family Practice takes care of our teenagers and adults in our family competently and with lots of care. read more

I contacted this office to become new patients for me and my son. We were given the new patient paperwork to complete which we did. I went by to sign the records release form which I was told had to be done in person so I did later to be told I did not have to sign the release form there. I called today to schedule my first appointment only to be informed they are not taking new patients and she wanted me to tell her who told me they are taking new patients. The woman that I was speaking to is in charge of their insurance filings. She quizzed me on my insurance for no good reason as they would not take my appointment. She became very rude when I quizzed her as to why AETNA's website said they accept my insurance plan and she instructed ME to call AETNA to straighten out the misinformation regarding HER office??? I was beyond annoyed that I was put through the exercise of joining their practice and completing paperwork when they are NOT accepting new patients. The woman was rude and insulting and had the audacity to hang up on me! Clearly, I am glad to discover the inadequacies of this practice early on. A doctor's front office is a direct reflection of the practice as a whole and a doctor's reputation. Luckily he is NOT looking for new business as having people like that representing his practice is definitely bad for business! read more

The most incompetent doctors I've ever seen. One physician prescribed me psychiatric medication without doing any testing whatsoever which led to the worst side effects I've ever had so I switched doctors within the practice. The other one is antibiotic happy (prescribed me antibiotics for chronic migraines and then said that allergies were causing my migraines without any other symptoms pointing to migraines as well as told me that allergies were the reason my lymph nodes and tonsils were chronically swollen for 3 years but then I saw an ENT in Richmond that told me they were the worst case of infection he's ever seen and I suffered from sleep apnea for 3 years because of it.) Thanks to dr Christian I had to go through a surgery where they discovered the infection in my tonsils was so bad it caused scar tissue to grow into the muscles of my neck. Needless to say: avoid this doctors office like its the plague. I've officially switched doctors as of today. Good riddance. read more

I was a patient there for almost 10 years and it wasn't until this week I realized that my nurse practitioner betrayed my trust. I was vulnerable with my nurse practitioner, Dabney. I told her about what was going on in my life (rough times) and that I wanted to go back on my anxiety medication. I have never given her (or any of the trusted doctors/nurse practitioners I've had in the past) a reason to doubt my ability to take my medication as needed (or responsibly). I am appalled by how little trust I was given the other day. I've never felt so belittled. I have put up with their ridiculous wait times (sometimes I would be there for 3.5 hours!) I have put up with rude nursing staff over the years. Not to mention I was willing to pay $85 out of pocket to be seen. I put up with it. All of it because of how good my personal physicians have treated me. Until my trust was betrayed because I thought I could be honest and vulnerable with her. I'm so very disappointed with Dabney and I will never be returning to Wiggington Road Family Practice. read more
