All 4 companies were well reviewed, reputable organizations. Russell from Royal Crown came to our home to measure the rooms for which the molding was to be installed. Russell was the only 1 of the 4 companies providing bids to walk us through the process steps from our taking down things like pictures and such to their post-completion warranty. The process explained to us is 100% of how their installing our crown molding happened. Short and sweet, Royal Crown and More are true professionals. Russell and his team were friendly, courteous, and did an amazing job. We cannot see a seam in the crown molding whether along a wall, an inside corner, or outside corner. They cleaned up after the job as well as any professional cleaning service would do. We have found no sanding dust, saw dust, paint drips, etc. They even cleaned our driveway where they cut the molding. No sawdust visible in the driveway. My wife and I pride ourselves on doing remodeling jobs ourselves. Installing crown molding is not one that we care to tackle. Royal Crown and More is a marriage saving company. Had we tackled this ourselves, we would have to buy significantly more molding due to mistakes, repair drywall due to the process, buy a 55 gallon drum for our curse jar, enlist the help of a marriage counsellor, and potentially divorce lawyers. During the purchase process, we was encouraged to switch from my external lender to the builder's preferred lender in order to receive closing cost incentives. After making that change and moving toward closing, the lending terms changed significantly, including a new requirement for ~$60,000 additional down payment that had not been disclosed earlier. Because of this unexpected change, the loan was not approved, and I was unable to close on the home. Despite this, the company has retained a $22,000 deposit. What is most concerning is that requests to escalate the issue were declined and follow-up emails have not received a response. This situation could likely be resolved quickly with a fair review and reimbursement of the deposit, especially given that the lender change occurred after being advised to use the builder's lender. I hope David Weekley Homes will review this and contact me directly so we can resolve this promptly and fairly.

Everything went mostly according to plan (thanks COVID) and really we only had a few time setbacks due to that. Just a day or 2! The people he sent to do the work were totally competent and easy to get along with. Showed up early and stayed late. Most surprisingly was that there was zero mess. I was still given a functioning kitchen every night. The job they did was beautiful and the end result was better than I even thought it would be. They removed old tile, put up new that they helped me choose, did those gorgeous wood shelves and repainted all our cabinets. Gave us new hardware and kept everything spotless while they worked. When I had a small issue they came out that day and fixed it, and then went on to do the same minor fix on every drawer! We were super impressed. I can't recommend them highly enough. He never saw the space, but we sent lots of photos and all the dimensions. It is incredible that he could do it sight unseen. All the cabinets fit perfectly, the moldings were exactly the right size and closed the space right to the ceiling. Our appliances fit exactly right. Nothing really went wrong! The cabinets are high quality and shipped directly to our condo from the manufacturer in Minnesota. Jamie was always available by phone to answer questions. It was a very positive experience.
