They prefer appointments, but will take walk-ins (be mindful that priority will always go to appointment clients) I wanted to do a walk in, but ended up setting a same day appointment, only 2 hours after I made the call, so it a doable wait time. I ate lunch and had a nap before coming in, so it was already leading up to a nice chill day. My stylist was an older lady, and she was very pleasant, quick nimble with the scissors and mostly styled my hair with just her hands (I have natural waves) and used very little product. And my hair turned out better than I expected. I basically got a wolf cut with soft layers. As we talked, I found out she's had a collective of over 30 years experience cutting hair both abroad and here In the states. I can really appreciate the service she gave along with her pleasant demeanor during the whole experience I had. My husband ended up going there to get his hair cut a few days later...and I was happy with what they did to his hair as well. Very clean and styled in a way that suits his face and head shape. Not just a cookie cutter hairstyle that looks the same on everyone. This one really flattered his specific look and personality. The only downside is parking on a busy day, the lot is small and right up near a busy street. So I understand why they encourage appointments, to keep the parking lot from being crowded. So it seems like they already put some consideration into setting up a good experience for their clientele. I look forward to visiting them again in the future for a color job I want to try. All I wanted this time around was a wash, cut and style and it was decently priced and professionally done in a relatively short amount of time. Had an…read moreappointment, had to wait 20minutes while stylist shampooed a customer, had that customer wait in the next chair, while she did my coloring, made us switch chairs, customer asked me "covering the gray hair?" which was none of her business, stylist did her haircut and styling, while my coloring was still in, checked her out, waited another 10 minutes before she rinsed the color out, still not what I asked her for, asked to go darker but it was lighter than usual. Charged $150 for color package which is suppose to be at least 2 hours but was done in less than an hour. I felt like they just wanted to hurry and get you out. I think she had another appointment waiting in the salon. Not the same since Shannon left.

Thankfully, I found this salon through Google, and the reviews truly do it justice. Ana is an incredibly talented and charismatic stylist. She completely saved my hair from what felt like a disaster. She clearly knows exactly what she's doing and takes the time to explain everything, which made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the appointment. I left the salon genuinely happy with the result. Because of my job, I'm constantly traveling, but whenever I'm back in Norfolk, VA, or nearby and it's time for a trim, I'll definitely be coming back to Ana. Highly recommend!

My six-year-old granddaughter had a knot in her hair so severe that we were honestly prepared for the worst--we thought she might end up with a buzz cut in the back. Instead of taking the easy way out, the stylists treated her with such kindness and respect. They spent several hours patiently working through the tangles, even providing her with hot chocolate to keep her comfortable while they worked their magic. After a thorough treatment, steaming, and a careful trim, the results were absolutely fantastic. Most importantly, my granddaughter was thrilled with how she looked. They turned what could have been a traumatic experience into a wonderful afternoon of pampering. We are so grateful for their skill and their compassion. Highly recommended!

This will be the third time I've been to Versus and finally, Finally, FINALLY I'm walking away…read morehappy. The first time, I had my 3A/B curly hair straightened by an intern. She burned me multiple times and ended up needing advice about heat temp and technique by the manager. She also tried to post before and after results of my hair even though on the form I signed when I first came in I specifically noted that I didn't want to have my pictures on social media. Afterwards, I asked how I should upkeep it and she just said to wrap it. I asked how to do that and she said "I don't know." I looked like Kate Middleton with a bad blow out the next day. The next time I came to just get a trim. The stylist only asked one question about if I was allergic to rosemary (even though I already wrote that in the intake form). She also parted my hair directly in my face and left the store (like actually clocked out) while I was under the hair dryer and told someone in passing to ring me up in 15 min. Last but not least I got my hair finger coiled and to be honest I was for once extremely happy with the result. The stylist answered all my questions and I was left very satisfied despite taking three hours. The only reason I've come back is that I have a bday gift card I'm trying to use up. Otherwise I'd never walk in again. It shouldn't have taken me three different services by three different stylist to be happy.

Although I don't go to the other girls, their clients seem to be super happy and all of the girls there are so nice! The environment is so nice and friendly and i recommend to everyone.. I hadn't gotten my hair cut in YEARSS before I came to Storm and she made me wish I'd gotten my hair professionally cut/colored for forever! All of the stylists here are so sweet and welcoming -I just can't comment much on them because I've been going to Storm and will continue to! Love this establishment!
