In the last couple of weeks, my original Airsense 10 has malfunctioned after 8 years - the on/off button on the top of the unit stopped working. I am plugging in and unplugging the unit to turn it on and off. I tried going through insurance to get a new unit through insurance. That was a joke. A new Airsense 11 is $235 per month for 18 months - $4230 total cost from an insurance approved Durable Medical Supply company. I asked why it was so high. I was told that they set it up and teach me how to use it. I said - NO WAY. I have been researching online and found the AirSense 10 has better reviews and over the years I have learned to do the settings myself. I am not having a new sleep study, so why pay them the outrageous amount for a machine with bad reviews? I called CPAP.com and discussed it with the associate on the phone. She was honest and very helpful. I am ordering a new Airsense 10 and saving a ton of money in the process.

    Called several different Med suppliers and this one was the only one of the three that sells…read moreconstriction stockings for swelling. The lady there greeted us very warmly and looked at the prescription and was locating the product but had to order it for us. It should arrive in about a week. She was very professional and took down our information. Will try to do a follow up after we get the stockings. Update called a week after ordering and the person who answered the phone couldn't say anything about when my medical device would arrive and didn't even acknowledge that it was ordered at all. So I stated I would look for it elsewhere and let them know if I found it. I found I somewhere else and at least they allowed me to cancel my order here.

I was told that it had been pre-programed and I should be able to set it up myself. I broke a part on the old machine that is supposed to be used with the new machine. So, I call to tell Brandy, the only person who works with cpap and oxygen. After giving my DOB, I am asked "What is her last name?" Then I am transferred to a voice mail. The number of stars is not due to today's experience only but to several years of very poor service. Most of my supplies comes from suppliers who phone, asking if I need supplies rather than ExMed, the company that is "supposed" to be my supplier.

    Overpriced, unqualified, and unprofessional, bad experience from a shoddy, little company…read more 1. Overpriced because they're 2/3 MORE than my doctor's second referral for comparable equipment, with much worse service. 2. Unqualified because: a) the alleged respiratory therapist who called me unexpectedly was unfamiliar with the controls of the CPAP device that her own company provided; b) she was unfamiliar with the industry-standard functionality behind those controls (reducing flow during exhalations); c) This person wasn't even listening in the first half of the call, ignoring my words such as "quite a bit of bloody mucus" and "hurt too much to leave on more than 20 minutes" - just no response at all, only silence. I know multi-tasking when I hear it. d) In the second half of the call, she merely read word-for-word the cleaning instructions I'd already been provided; e) She never mentioned my sleep test, therapy goals and metrics, how the data would be used. She left me with no next steps other than "your doctor's office will be in touch". (My new provider assigned follow-up person and made sure I understood the timetables for a true therapy program, not just a machine delivery.) 3. Unprofessional because: a) they first scheduled me on a day when the company doesn't work (Friday), no choice for the patient. b) The alleged therapist dismissed it with "that wouldn't have happened because I don't work on Fridays". Better response would have been "I'm sorry that happened and I took you by surprise, I'll look into that." c) The phone staff let me die on five minutes hold waiting for a supervisor, then refused to answer when I re-dialed. Their phones ring for a solid two minutes before the answering machine comes on, meaning they intentionally discourage callers.

Later that week I had my telehealth consult with a sleep doctor to review my results and receive my prescription. I purchased the ResMed AirSense 11 and went with the ResMed N20 mask system. The results have been amazing. I'm such a strong believer and CPAP I even purchased the ResMed AirMini for when I travel. CPAP therapy has been life changing. I now have more energy, wake up feeling rested, and have lowered my high blood pressure. And oh yeah... hello morning wood! The team at Heartstrong know EXACTLY what they are doing. I had questions and they had all the answers. Very professional and friendly staff.
