Walked in to the nice smell of candle and saw shelves of jewelry right in front of me past an old rustic table. I'm home! I spent an hour going through all the rooms and chatting it up with the friendly clerk, came out with some treasures. In summary: this is my new favorite vintage store in Cleveland! It's a former florist where they grew all their own flowers so the building is big and has a country and shabby chic appeal. The style in here is an interesting mix of cool retro vintage, shabby country, and newer things that go with having a cool lifestyle. Their handmade soaps are the cheapest prices i've seen around town. I love that so much recycled and repurposed things are here: it's not just a place for gifts (for yourself or others), but i'm finding practical things too (I've been here three times total since I first walked in this January). It's the kind of place where you'll see a shelf of interesting old and weird books next to brand new quirky cookbooks, a rack of nice jewelry calling out at you, then around the corner there's some amazing old stoves and shelves of retro kitchen stuff and 60's barware, and before you know it you're planning to redo your living room with mid-century decor and cool painted furniture while you stock up on great rock records. There's things i'm not into but I can see the appeal like old architectural pieces and farm antiquey things and retro kid's stuff. In all, it's like a big general store but for cool stuff. It's new so no reviews on Yelp yet. That's a first for me. Guess I discovered this place at just the right time!

I was very impressed by my first visit to Wayside Workshop. For me, stores specializing in Amish furniture usually fall into one of two categories: (1) affordable, but kitschy, country, and not stylish (think "Grandma's cabin"); or (2) high-end, extremely customizable, and VERY pricey (think "Amish Arhaus+"). Wayside Workshop is that rare gem that strikes the perfect balance between offering the quality and style of bespoke furniture dealers while still being approachable both in price and service. Every piece at Wayside reeks of quality (no particle board here!), and even the biggest pieces (like the awesome expanding dining room table I was digging) aren't eye-poppingly expensive. Finally, this review would be incomplete if I did not mention the space itself. Wayside Worship is located in a huge old barn(?) and is exceptionally beautiful inside. Shoppers can explore multiple (open) floors of furniture and home decor, all of which are tastefully decorated with a keen eye for detail. The space is welcoming and warm as soon as you enter, and I'm sure it's absolutely magical at Christmastime. I'm excited to make a second visit then (with my wife - pray for me).

I want to buy EVERYTHING but my wallet has only allowed me to purchase an unfinished bookshelf thus far. You could spend an hour in this little workshop and still not have seen everything they have to offer. For lack of a better pun, this place knows how to "set up shop"! You can get a nice stone pendant set in sterling silver for less than $50 in many cases. I had a lot of nice comments on pendants I've purchased here as I've been able to get a lot of different stones in a lot of different colors that are sometimes quite unusual. There are a few other nice gift items like hand-crafted Native baskets in the back of the store (along with a few cheeiser things like southwestern theme t-shirts, Amish dolls, and cowboy hats), plus beaders will find some nice beads, findings and other jewelry making tools. Stopped at Second Chances Antique Gallery in Warren to see what interesting things I could find…read more From the outside it Second Chances doesn't look like much, but once you get inside it is impressive; there are 3 rooms of a wide variety of stuff. Lots of variety, collectibles, antiques, instruments, toys, and just about anything you could be looking for. Talking to the owner I found out that he had recently bought out the previous owner and was getting things organized and cleaned up. I was impressed with the wooden masks and assorted carvings they had; most were very high quality and vintage. The back room has a wide variety of items, from the usual flea market trinkets to really nice items. I found a really cool walking stick with a hatchet head, it was unpriced and the owner was great about negotiating a fair price. Overall I was very impressed with the variety and selection at Second Chance, well worth the drive. The new owner was very friendly and willing to deal. If you are looking for something vintage or antique go and check them out.
