We had a gorgeous afternoon/evening, and our guests were happy to mingle on both the covered deck and the patio, as well as stroll around the grounds and down to the huge lower patio. All of the mentioned places have a beautiful view of the Mississippi and bluffs. The kids at the party LOVED running all around and watching the tugboats and barges on the river. We brought a bunch of things to occupy them and literally got nothing out, as they were happy for the entire 4 hours running around the grounds. The venue provided the set up, linens etc, as well as the bar services. They recommended a caterer, Gregory's Creative Cuisine, which we used and were also thrilled with. They also provided security for parking, as the parking is on the street (though there is a long drive where you can drop off and pick up guests at the door). The security guard was very friendly and helpful. I believe he was an off duty or retired police officer for the city as well. I'm not one to feel nervous in the city but it was a nice touch. As a bonus, the welcoming committee was a quartet of beautiful chicken ladies, which also thrilled the guests! Overall, just a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this venue for an unforgettable party. I know that the guest of honor and our guests won't forget it any time soon!

The issues included charging us for services that were never provided, making false claims to withhold our deposit, and failing to honor major terms of our alcohol agreement. Their own attorney acknowledged in court that the venue was not equipped to manage an open bar for an event of our size, despite representing otherwise, accepting payment, and signing a contract stating they could. In our experience, this organization prioritized collecting payment over delivering on its commitments -- a particularly disappointing quality given that it presents itself as a religious organization. If you do move forward with them, ensure your contract is extremely detailed, and document everything in writing and photos -- that evidence was essential in our case. If alcohol will be served, we also recommend verifying that their liquor license is active before signing anything. Good luck!

They also served various breads and cinnamon pinwheels and dessert was the most delicious cake covered in berries. The personal touches that the venue allowed were also wonderful - from crafting a signature drink to writing "it's a boy!" on each dessert plate with the cake. The venue had 3 main areas, 2 of which we used - one for lunch using large round tables of 10 (very comfortable, even with a wine glass, water glass, tea glass, bread plate, and charger) and the other for unwrapping gifts that had multiple couches and chairs and the most gorgeous stained glass windows. Had it been a nicer day we would have enjoyed the patio area. It looked gorgeous and overlooked the golf course with a view of the fountain. Parking was a breeze. I would absolutely recommend this venue for a small to medium sized event. We had about 40 guests at the baby shower. Everything was top notch.

The killers are the very tall picture windows on three sides which view is the newly face-lifted Gateway Arch.
