I made contact with their on call emergency number & staff. After experiencing 2 days of these poor conditions and safety issues the response from the management was poor. The maintenance man who took my call about the emergency issues had his wife attack me verbally in the lobby. She was extremely verbally abusive and threatened me over 8 times. Once I announced I am NOT going to fight with you. I'm a adult who is peaceful I dont believe in war or fighting. She really throws a temper tantrum at this point. Yelling cursing and a full show. The disrespect was extreme. She was over eager to show how distasteful and ignorant she could be. After speaking with other managers about the abuse that her employees felt its ok to personally attack me with. The management proudly announced it's ok that she stretched the truth and attacked my family. Because she is a wife who is concerned about the mental health and well being of her husband. I in return told her if wives have a say then pick a time so my wife can speak with you. Her quick responce was well your wife is NOT on the lease and has apsoloutly no say in this conversation. Another manager removed her shoes & ear rings and called the police because she did not want my family in the building she could he heard yelling for blocks what do you mean you have a wife. My brother was on the way to visit me I simply told him I'm in the leasing office pull up to the black fountain. The manager said that pull up in Saint Louis means you want to fight. I simply announced My family will be moving out I'm not dealing with this foolishness. I over heard two employees say her brother is her sister hes wearing a dress & makeup. Girl all the men in that car have on dresses & makeup. They need to go they need to move. Once the police arrived I spoke with them. I requested that they walk my family to the elevator because it became clear that LGBTQ Americans are not respected nor are we safe at this location. I hired a maid & began the move out process. And the manager Britney decided to come to my unit daily and post notes on my door that she would like me to move out. I moved out 3 days later. I've never dealt with people who stretched the truth like these people. When they spoke to the police they forgot that all this started because the lights, internet, refrigerator, cable was NOT working and All I did was contact the leasing office because the water smelled like rotten eggs. On the voicemail was a emergency number that I contacted. Brittany had the gol to ask me. Why would u ever call the emergency number? My reply is and was. Because noone from your office would get back to me. Its your emergency number why put it on a voicemail if your not equipped to deal with such emergencies. Each time you give them a logical answer to a problem your met with a empty headed response that's anything but professional and productive.

They are very up front with you when touring on things that might be perceived as negative but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. Free laundry, free pool during seasonal hours, amazing view, and a maintenance staff that goes out of their way to make sure requests are taken care of quickly. (1-3 days depending on urgency). Utilities are also included except for electricity (Ameren). The best part of Mansion House is the community of people. Everyone is welcoming of new residents and the apartment hosts monthly events (usually free or a very nominal fee) to allow residents the opportunity to meet each other. I definitely want to say thank you to everyone in the front office for their hard work and their dedication to not only myself but other residents. After my previous apartment experience in Chicago, I needed a place to move that I could call home. I could have moved to any city in the country basically and I am not a huge fan of St. Louis however I moved here because I found a place where I could finally enjoying living in an apartment. Mansion House has definitely made my St. Louis experience a pleasurable one.

First, the good: the ambiance is consistent throughout the property. I had a great time walking up and down the halls on each floor to check out the unique art. The fitness room is nicely appointed! While we didn't get to check out either of the on-site restaurants, we peeked inside Fox and Hounds and it had a good crowd. The complimentary breakfast was hearty and delicious, and it was nice to grab a free bottle of juice or water from the cooler (which did seem to be locked after breakfast hours) Great location as well, we loved walking around the neighborhood and Forest Park! What keeps this from being a five-star review? Some ice buckets and dirty dishes were on a table in the fourth-floor lobby for over 12 hours. A bit disorienting to see every time we got off the elevator. The pillows were pretty flimsy. Lots of linty buildup on the blow dryer deterred me from using it. Overall will definitely stay here again anytime I visit Saint Louis, definitely want to come back during summer and use the pool!

The on-site English pub is delicious with a great selection of food and drinks. Cannot speak for the Italian restaurant because we never got notified about our table being ready . (???) Overall, we enjoyed our stay and plan to return soon.

We get what we need and he asked us what we were there for and we said it was our 5 year anniversary and he told us find him in the grand hall later that night and he would treat us to something! In my mind it would be something small but when I tell you this man went SO FAR out of his way to make sure we had an amazing night! He started us off with a whole bottle of champagne and then asked us about dinner which we declined since we weren't hungry then asked us about dessert! We got the key lime margarita and the pistachio margarita and he ended up getting the ACTUAL desserts that went with the drinks! A key lime pie and a pistachio dessert! We had a wonderful time talking to him in which he let us know about the polar express that happens around Christmas and more that made us EVEN MORE willing to come back! And to top it all off all of that was on the house! That gesture that Jon did not only made an awesome night even more amazing it made us want to and WILL tell anybody and everybody about the hospitality, care, and time that Jon and MANY other staff put in to make our sweet moment even more memorable and meaningful that it could have ever been! Sydney that works at the bar in the grand hall and Jon deserve a raise for the time and care they put into our night and we will ABSOLUTELY be coming back!! THANK YOU!!

We wrapped up our informal wander through the fabulous Delmar Loop and drifted up here for a final drink, a skyline check and that signature rotating oversized Moon glowing over the building. By pure luck, it was a full moon over Saint Louis too which felt a little on the nose in the best possible way. The rooftop is solid, a clear arc of the city that makes you slow down to appreciate the view. The space itself is exactly what you want at the end of the night. Open, relaxed and elevated enough to feel like a finale without trying too hard. The music was much louder than I'd prefer and not an artist I'd ever queue up for a mellow nightcap and it did sort of get in the way of the vibe. The kitchen had already closed, which killed the idea of a final nibble with our round of drinks. The bartender did offer the workaround of having DoorDash delivered to the bar but we weren't going to hang around that long. The Old Fashioned he put together was excellent, balanced and smooth. Just what I needed as my Fitbit clocked over 10k steps. As a final stop on a Loop night, the Moonrise works beautifully. You get the view of downtown Saint Louis in the distance, the atmosphere, the giant Moon doing its thing and a comfortable landing spot before calling it a night. They claimed the other side of the door was a conference room being renovated, and there's no way to get in because there's a wall. But we slipped something under the door without problem, so clearly no wall. He wouldn't show us the conference room or the inside for peace of mind; and supposedly the workers have access?!? And I can't lock it from the inside?!? I don't understand why construction would force them to remove the INSIDE door that has a lock on it. The front desk got extremely angry when we tried asking for a new room. My husband has the patience of a saint, and the conversation turned sour quickly. The man at the front continued to insist it was just a conference room and to "just trust him", and refused to show me the conference room for peace of mind to reassure there was no access. And again, this does not justify the missing internal door. Missouri's hotel law (Chapter 315) requires hotels to operate with "strict regard to health and safety of the guest", and a room that cannot be secured from the inside is not safe and is not acceptable. He said there were no other rooms available - although the parking lot wasn't that full so I'm unsure if it was true - so we went up the street to the DoubleTree and it was MUCH better!!! Customer service reassured us we'd be refunded, but we've yet to receive the promised call from the manager. I do not often do hotel reviews, especially not bad reviews, but I felt this was important. I would absolutely not recommend staying here, especially if you're a female traveler.
