I returned to the scanner kiosk, where I continued to have difficulty obtaining a new device. The associate observed the situation but did not offer any assistance. If Stop & Shop expects customers to use self-checkout, associates should be more proactive and customer-service oriented. As a result of this experience, it will be some time before I use the self-checkout option at the Falmouth store again.
