If Stop & Shop expects customers to use self-checkout, associates should be more proactive and customer-service oriented. Since it gets cold here, they have survival food, and various ways of dealing with snow&ice. This is the place to go if you plan on hibernating for the winter. To their credit, they are clean&everything is clearly marked. On the other hand, they have a grim, ghost town of a Subway (is that why they have so many Walking Dead tie-ins?) and a nail salon.
