Great place! It's small, but the staff makes up for it. Cider is the best in Virginia. Jen is the best!

A wide open space and hard cider. What else could you possibly need. Our server was Kelly and she was great. Heck... she built us a fire. She sold us a hat. She was nice to our dog. And she gave great service. Even if you are not a fan of cider, what a great place to hang out. And if you are a craft beer drinker, this cidery shares a parking lot with a brewery. So double the fun.

The setup in the back was pretty neat and included benches with umbrellas, board games, kids toys, overhanging lights, and a small shed where you can order and pick up the cider. The server was pretty engaging as far as tastings and describing the cider went. I had the valley roots and wolf reserve. What stuck out was a very crisp taste of the cider with very little to no sugary additions. The smell was like fresh apples and the blend of apples used was very unique to Va and not common around Pennsylvania. Highly recommend stopping here especially in the warmer nights of the summer. Very good cider, great outdoor atmosphere, right next to downtown, and extremely reasonably priced.

The hostess/server gave us a great introduction to all of the options & we made our selections. We opted to sit out on the deck to enjoy the beautiful weather and wonderful view of the countryside. The server shared her photos from the northern lights the other night and they were spectacular. We met Ginny, the resident pup and had a lovely visit enjoying the tasty ciders. Highly recommend stopping in - the Gloaming was my favorite!

If you drive a low clearance vehicle, beware. I almost got stuck. The atmosphere is cute and clean; bathrooms were private and clean as well. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. We had a flight which was reasonably priced. This is where my compliments end. Not a single person in our party enjoyed a single flavor out of 6. This isn't just personal preference, the taste is bad. A number of reviews reference the taste of nail polish remover and I have to agree. The two stars are only because of the nice workers. I would not recommend to anyone.

An Unforgettable 50th Birthday Celebration at Bluemont Winery!…read more I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience at Bluemont Winery! I recently celebrated my 50th birthday there, and Staci Collins and her incredible events team went above and beyond to make the occasion truly special. From beginning to end, Staci and her team were warm, kind, attentive, and incredibly professional. Their hospitality was exceptional. They didn't simply host an event--they made me and my guests feel genuinely welcomed, celebrated, and cared for. Every detail and thoughtful gesture helped make this milestone birthday one I will always remember. A very special thank you to the chef as well! The braised ribs were absolutely outstanding--so flavorful and incredibly tender that you could literally cut them with a fork. My guests and I are still talking about how delicious the food was! The beautiful setting, wonderful food, and exceptional service were all impressive, but it was the people who truly made the experience memorable. Staci, her events team, the chef, and the entire crew helped turn my 50th birthday into such a beautiful celebration. Thank you, Staci Collins and the entire Bluemont Winery team, for your kindness, professionalism, hospitality, and for going out of your way to make both me and my guests feel so special. You helped create memories that I will treasure for years to come. Five stars simply aren't enough!

Northern Virginia has a lot of winery options, but Bluemont offers a few things that make it special. First of all, it's huge - tons of indoor and outdoor seating on two levels. They take reservations. We made for one for noon on Saturday. We were seated upstairs/indoors but eventually moved to their upstairs deck (we were there for hours and wanted a change of scenery). Their views are incredible. You can see the Blue Ridge Mountains from practically anywhere on the property! I hadn't seen my friends in months, so we stayed for almost five hours. We started with their white wine flight, and then we had a few bottles, too. We also ate (beef empanadas, a flatbread, and some black bean hummus). We enjoyed most of the wines (between the flights and bottles, I think we tried 6 whites and 1 rose), and the food was pretty good, too. The service was great - Lily and Rose were our servers (there was a shift switch, since we were there for almost 5 hours) and they were wonderful. They were a little busy downstairs when we arrived, but it's such a large space that there was plenty of seating for more. (It seems to be a spot on wine tours, because there were a few buses when we arrived.) I'm not sure if you really need a reservation, but I'm glad we had one since our plan was to eat lunch at the winery. We had a great time at the winery. But the highlight of Bluemont Vineyard is the property itself - the views, the space, and outdoor dining!

They offer a nice variety of ciders, wines, and cocktails, so there's something for everyone. We visited on a Wednesday and found the service to be a little slow, although the staff was friendly. We had the chicken Cesar wrap and turkey sandwich, which were both alright but nothing particularly stellar. The cocktails were definitely a highlight! My friend had the strawberry sour cocktail, and I had one made with gin and lemon called Marc c --both were delicious. We also tried several of the ciders, which were a little sweeter than my personal preference, and the wine was just OK. That said, I have to admit we had just come from several wineries, so the wine had some tough competition! Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by for the beautiful setting, cocktails, and atmosphere. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a drink with friends
