Went today and while it was packed, it wasn't a good excuse for the poor service. We waited in line for 20 minutes to order food at 1pm. When got to the bar they said it's not open yet. So we waited another 30 minutes to wait in line, that took another 15 minutes. Once our food was ordered we waited for another hour and a half... still nothing We decided to cancel our order and leave. The beer is average I'd say. Atmosphere is pretty decent, usually clean bathrooms. We've been several times. The last time we went, the food was average as well. Overall, I'd say it's an average place but definitely stay away on holidays. read more

Chilly Hollow did a great Job with creating a fun family environment here. They do however desperately need to work on their food, it's very mediocre especially for what they charge for it. Very small portions too. If you don't go here to eat though this is your place! read more

Lots to like about Chilly Hollow. Great add to the NoVA craft brewery scene! Beer: a solid balanced taplist with an option for everyone. I really enjoyed the Black Widow Lager (5.4% ABV) with nice toasty and cocoa notes but not as heavy as a stout or porter with similar flavors. The Juicious Malfoy Hazy IPA (6.8% ABV) brings strong grapefruit/lime citrus tang with an appropriate level of IPA hoppiness. Food: great lineup of handhelds that pair well with the brews. Checkout the pretzel bites with beer cheese for a snack. Vibe: lots of families there. Dog friendly. Good place to hang with friends and catch a game. Beautiful views outside. Staff/service is excellent. Bonus: they sell beef, eggs and cheese. So you can treat it like going to the farmers market. read more

Met up with coworkers yesterday evening for a drink. Even brought my dog along! Dogs are welcome inside and outside which is awesome. I tried the new Pink Lemonade Cider which was pretty tasty! Staff was phenomenal AS ALWAYS!!! The views and vibes are unbeatable rain or shine. Absolutely love Chilly Hollow. Will be back. read more

Wow. This place is our new favorite brewery! My wife and I saw a little sign driving past Berryville, VA. We took a turn and less than a mile off the main road was this very large footprint of a brewery. There is a huge play ground for kids, amazing views and ample outdoor seating. Lots of parking. (Unfortunately it's a cold and dreary day. So we are seated inside by the fireplace) The inside is clean, spacious and great decor. There are also a lot of sound absorbing panels which help when this place is really crowded. (I imagine). The inside is surrounded by large TVs. We are watching the Winter Olympics. Every beer we tried was excellent. We got a flight and also a sample of the cider. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The samples pours are very generous. The bathrooms are spotless. And the urinals are converted beer kegs. (Nice touch) Water is self service and readily available. The appetizers are smaller than anticipated, my only critique for our experience. The spicy cheese curds are actually spicy on the back end. I highly recommend. read more

Amazing views and wonderful service, but the beers are just ok. Came here for the first time recently and really enjoyed the wonderful country views of the hillside from the outside seating area. This place is the definition of "family friendly" so if you're looking for a date night spot this might not be it. The employees however, were some of the nicest and most courteous I've experienced at any of the local breweries. The inside seating area leaves a lot to be desired as it lacks any atmosphere and it's very bright and somewhat generic. The beers (I tried 3 of them) were all standard and solid but nothing to write home about. read more

This was fun, just outside of Winchester, VA. A brewery inside of a beef ranch. They had a cooler with different cuts of meat right from their ranch, and lots of good beer. Food was good as well burgers (Fri, Sat, Sun only) and hot dogs and brats made right there. We had the Burnt Ends Brats with Mac & Cheese side, very good I had a Porter on Nitro, excellent, a Schwartzbier also excellent, and I tried the Watermelon Sunshine, I don't often drink sours or fruity beer, but it was actually quite refreshing. Very friendly and helpful servers, great beers. It was nice sitting on the porch just watching their cows in the field. They said the cows usually come up closer in the evening, but they're down in the shades under the trees right now (early afternoon). Play area for kids, and corn hole and connect-four for everyone. We got there about 2:00pm on a Monday do pretty empty, but they have live music on weekends and trivia. Was a fun place. and, of course, I got some swag: shirt, koozie and couple of stickers. read more

Chili Hollow is a great Farm brewery in Berryville. That's easy to get to. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. They have a great selection of beers that are all very good and there's a couple of slushy and other drinks. There's a decent food menu. There's no table service you order at the counter, but it's quick and efficient. This is one of our top choices for hanging out at a brewery in the local area. read more

Ordered the walking tacos. The ground beef was so completely dry, it was like little hard brown turds. The kitchen asked if we wanted lettuce in it - I'm sorry, but don't tacos normally come with shredded lettuce? These were horrible - basically paid $10 for a bag of Fritos. Meat was inedible. We stumbled on Chilly Hollow Brewery for lunch and loved it! The staff couldn't have been sweeter -- they made us feel super welcome and loved our dog who was welcome inside the taproom as well. The beer was awesome, and the mac and cheese... wow. So good, creamy, cheesy, everything you want it to be. I come to this brewery all the way from Frederick, Maryland and it is one of my favorite places to go. It is also near other breweries in Northern Virginia with tremendous views. I really like the black widow lager as well as the Julicious IPA. Wonderful staff. Their beer is not as pricey as some of the other local breweries. Hope it stays that way. read more

Loved everything about this place. The food was great, there was also a food truck on-site so lots of options for food. I ordered what can only be described as the best wine slushy I've ever had! My husband got a beer flight that he said was fantastic. They also offer ciders and wine for those who aren't super into beer. Large indoor and outdoor spaces with plenty of seating available. They had live music as well which is always a bonus in my opinion. Dog and kid friendly, to the point they even offer kids meals and dog bowls to fill with water for your pup! There is a huge playground complete with a massive sandbox, so if you're there with young kids you don't have to worry about them running off and getting into trouble. This is my new go-to brewery. I'm just sad I didn't know about it sooner! read more

Was such a cool place we went there TWICE in August. (Shhh, don't tell!) It was so nice, all around. Beer was great and so was the food we bought at a counter and took to Adirondack chairs outside. The first time we sat on the porch and the second time in the grass where we watched the black cows and sheep wandering in the distance next to the silo. Beeeeeeeeeauuuuuuuutiful view. We can't wait to see the leaves changing in the fall. The food was good, too. The "burnt end beef sausages on a brioche bun" were killer! "Somebody Feed Phil" would say "Commmme on!" The beef is from their farm. (Those cows??? Sorry guys! :o\ ) Couples will LOVE the beautiful, clean and peaceful setting (beer and food) and families will love the crazy AWESOME wooden playground and picnic tables on the side! Wish we had little kids again. I'd love to play on that thing myself. Well, maybe we'll be back THREE times in August... because I'd love to see/hear the live music this weekend. hahahaha read more

It was the day after Thanksgiving so may not have been representative of a normal visit, keep in mind. Could not get a seat, so have no idea if food was any good but menu appears as typical bar selection. Not a craft beer lover but there are other options., Band was just ok, 80s sophmore radio rock but the sound and acoustics were awful due to metal walls where band was. You can tell this building was not designed to showcase music and or music lovers.,I would suggest raising the bar on the music selection and stage area. We have a lot of awesome musicians in the Shenandoah Valley so would suggest to owners to investgate that more. It appears to stay packed to the gills most of the time so there must be something, im guessing it the beer,If your looking for an intimate setting with ambience and listening to GREAT music, go elsewhere. The crowd was so loud talking we could barely hear music. Also we noticed the tables looked sticky and not being cleaned between patrons so would suggest having someone to monitor this and tidy up the tables, all self serve and the line was VERY long. May return to check it out during normal operations and not a holiday, and if a higher caliber of music is listed. It appears no expense was spared in the materials used in the buildng with the exception of stage and sound, so the building is pretty. with lots of TVs in every area. so if your just looking to throw back some craft beer and watch TV, this may be your kind of place. I wont be in a hurry to go back. read more

We were there for their Wednesday opening, just before the official grand opening. The place was packed but there was plenty of space if you included the outdoor area. Nice warm fires were going for those of us brave enough to be outside and seats were found inside for almost everyone who wanted to sit. The drinks line went surprisingly quick for the number of people they were serving. It was a huge success in our opinion. read more
