I think I saw they have some drinks for sale as well. It also seems like they have pretty regular events on a weekly basis (book clubs and the like), so I'm excited to go back for one of those in the future. Fast service, great ambiance. Free parking on weekends and weekdays after 7pm in nearby city of Durham garages. 10/10 would recommend!

And thus downtown Hillsborough is indeed complete thanks to Purple Crow Books. It is a small, cozy bookshop that carries all your favorite big name authors, bestsellers, and featured book club works as well. But what clearly sets this establishment apart is the VAST selection of works by Hillsborough authors! Who knew so many published authors hail from this small North Carolina town? This guy surely did not, but I was very impressed and charmed by this fact. There is also a separate section devoted to North Carolina authors (hello, Nicholas Sparks!). You gotta love the strong local representation! Off the side of the main room, there are two smaller sections, one of which showcases numerous gently used books for 50% off and the second of which is devoted to children's books and games. Plus there are some crafty greeting cards for sale as well. All in all, definitely worth checking out as you stroll through Hillsborough. Plus Cup A Joe is conveniently located across the street so you can get your caffeine fix to accompany your literary adventure!

Flyleaf also has a number of events every month. I recently attended the Penguin Publisher event. Snacks and drinks were available to those that attended the event and there was a raffle at the end. The event was informative and full of book recs from the Penguin Publisher sales team. Flyleaf is legit! I'll be sure to add this location to one of my favorite bookstores in the Chapel Hill area.

The stock is constantly changing and they set up different cool displays all the time. Today I was delighted to find a whole section of banned books. The section was covered with caution tape! Love that! I bought a banned book that I am super excited to start reading. I absolutely love their custom made tables made out of stacks of books. I keep asking my husband to make me one! I saw Olivia Muenter speak about her new book Little One, and the seating and organization of the whole event was handled flawlessly. I thought it was very kind of the event to offer free tickets in addition to tickets that came with a copy of the book, as I had preordered from another store. I appreciated the consideration, and it made me want to stock up on other books from them. I didn't have any issues with parking at all- I got a spot in the large lot right out front. I was also able to choose from a variety of options for quick dinner stops before my event. All in all, a great addition to North Hills!
