Our tea cabinet needed a restock, and instead of hitting the grocery store, I wanted something fresh. I was specifically looking for lemon balm tea because it helps with digestion, bloating, anxiety, sleep--you name it. So, I hit up Google and found a 5-star tea shop that just so happened to be close to my daughter's school. Perfect, right? I decided to surprise her after school, but BAYBEEEE, we were the ones who got surprised! As soon as we walked in, the owner. A woman greeted us like family: "Hey friends, come on in! I've got some tea already brewing for you. It's cold outside, and we have to warm you up." Y'ALL. I FELT LIKE I WAS AT MY FAVORITE AUNTIE OR GRANNY'S HOUSE!!! This lady LOVESSSSSSSSS what she does, and you can tell from the way she's poured her heart into her business. Every detail, every tea blend, every story behind it--it was just EVERYTHING. She's got teas for stress, hormone balancing, energy, periods, sickness, menopause--ANYTHING you can think of! And let me tell you, every single blend she let us taste was PERFECTION. The milk doesn't stay fresh nearly as long as the raw milk I get from other places in the area and the eggs are comparable to the cheapest eggs at the grocery store, nowhere near the quality you would expect from a farm. They do have the cheapest prices in town but you seem to get what you pay for.

One of the first things I took off the shelf to try based on an owner recommendation was the organic fermented garlic pickle mixture in a jar. I couldn't wait to take it home and open it up and take a little sample. It's spicy and warm and garlicky and just absolutely delicious, the kind of umami flavoring that good chefs and cooks look for. I'm making a Duo pasta dish today (pasta dumped in a large bowl that has a white cheese sauce on one side and a delicious tomato marinara sauce on the other, mix that up with a little grated Romano), and I can't wait to add that fermented garlic pickle mixture to the marinara, it's going to be amazing! I chose the sauce that had the carrot in it because that is an Italian grandmother's secret for making a delicious sweet marinara "gravy". The other WOW item I found and bought was the locally made sweet consisting of shredded phyllo, pistachio, and all covered in chocolate. I'm not really a chocolate lover, but I promise you that it was fabulous! There is a second a little adjacent room that they use for a little gift store type of environment and I loved the fact that I could buy two pairs of what looked like very comfortable knitted slippers made by people in the local church. I bought lemons, an absolutely gorgeous huge firm heirloom tomato, organic chicken and two types of lamb sausage, what looked like some great premade burger patties that are larger than the usual (very glad about that!), lemons and one of their three house Italian tomato sauces. The couple is dedicated to wellness and supporting local producers, we're very helpful in answering my many questions, they are very kind, and I can't wait to go back to try more things.

We came on the hottest day of the year and we were melting! But we walked away with some goodies…read more There were only a handful of stalls-prob due to the relentless heat. Parking is in a dirt lot and I appreciated the hard working vendors that were there, almost all were super friendly. We picked up some freeze-dried berries in a jar, some hot sauce, sourdough bread, green juice, and raspberry jelly. Other vendors I didn't get to visit were the veggie stand, hummus stand, there was a CBD stand which was super pricey and the poor girl who worked there was not very familiar with the product so she couldn't answer a lot of questions. And one vendor with duck and chicken eggs and cookies. Overall, I think I would come back when the weather is cooler and hopefully the construction off the main road is complete.

Sadly citizens of Magnolia have 2 choices when it comes to easy reach grocery. This i one of them. Like with Brookshire Bros up the road they are small and local so they really care and want to help. I haven't ever had a rude or unfriendly employee interaction ever. You don't get the cold blaze attitude one usually finds at Wallyworld Target Kroger Randalls..... They carry a lot of generic brands so their prices are reasonable. But since it is small don't expect enough food to feed a whole 3rd world country in this one building - it's enough to simply supply the community which is spectacular!!
