This place is amazing. I love plants but am a bit of a plant serial killer. I can't tell you how many lovely green friends I've gone through throughout the years. I try, but I fail. I really put my best effort but always tend to over love them. I found Wild Roots and immediately fell in love with the place. I spoke to the girl who immediately greeted me. Told her about my love of plants and my murderous ways and she graciously walked me through the plants she thought I'd be good with. She took her time and made sure I had a good understanding on the watering needs as well as the sun desires of these lovely things So I took my time, walked around, and found 1 plant to call my own. I could have bought an entire forest worth but I wanted to make sure I was able to take care of the one I had before I slaughtered their entire inventory. So far so good my plant is still alive. I've been listening to the advice I was given and I can't wait to go back and something else to add to my apartment to make my home feel even more green. read more

I (not a huge plant person) recently stopped at Wild Roots with my boyfriend (plant daddy). Their selection of plants were absolutely beautiful and I love that they're mainly indoor plants. My boyfriend has a tendency to be very thorough and this visit was no excuse. The gentleman working was so patient and answered the 1,001 questions my boyfriend had and then some. Being so close to downtown I was amazed at how affordable all of their plants, pottery, and apothecary was! Not only was the gentlemen extremely informative but we were given a plant guide with our purchase to properly take care of our new babies. I bought a plant and one of their beautiful pots and they potted my plant for me!!! There's a wide variety of plants and the staff are super informative. I originally went in to get some supplies for repotting my alocasia frydek and saw a few plants that I may have to return to get! It looked like they had some pottery from local artists as well. Great way to shop local and get expert knowledge/recommendations! read more

Plant parents, and wannabe plant parents: this is the shop for you! This locally owned shop of green wonders is the go to spot for your next house plant baby. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and eager to help you select the PERFECT plant for your space. The team will take in all considerations from your house layout, light orientation, pet concerns and even your availability to care for the plant! Plant lovers heaven. We had been looking for string of pearls succulents & a couple others and we found everything we needed here. We were worried being a boutique that they would be drastically overpriced but we were pleasantly surprised. They also had their own parking. We will definitely be back. Awesome find on our day out. read more

I was searching around for a place that has calatheas (those beautiful prayer plants) and found Wild Roots thru their Instagram. I'm so glad I stopped by because it was beautiful, and the person working was helpful & friendly! I just wish they had an even bigger selection of plants, but for a small space it's very nice. The staff are so nice and helpful! I do wish there were more labels in the store such as what type of plants are there and their prices. I felt bad going back and forth having to ask the associate about it. However, she was very helpful and they even repot your plant if you decide to get one! Everything is so cute in there. read more

Secret is out....I am WILD about you, Wild Roots. I love trips to see you because the shop is so inviting, it's like a little wonderland and it keeps me endlessly entertained. I am a sucker for a succulent and find yours to always be healthy and poppin. I have found so many wonderful gifts for people (and yes, okay myself) from you. Good selection of plants. If you can commit to large plants they also sell minis of what they have in stock. Prices are great! Most "hipster/aesthetic" nurseries charge an arm and a leg for plants. Surprisingly this place did not read more

We love this place! Live in Largo but my wife and I often visit. Amanda is awesome with great knowledge. Store is clean and all those plants just make you feel good. It was featured in a Hallmark movie! Some couples have even gotten married inside and had their reception in her patio area. During the lockdown they offered delivery of plants. There is a wide variety & selection of plants plus other local merchant stuff like handmade soaps, perfumes etc. A very inviting place. Well worth the drive! read more

Very cool store and great selection! I was looking for a plant for a housewarming gift and had no clue what to buy. Abby was so helpful! She gave me options based on level of care of the plant would require, amount of light, etc. Once I picked out the plant and the pot, she even potted it for me and provided care instructions. I was visiting from out of town, but I hope I have the opportunity to shop here again. I will definitely recommend wild roots to my St. Pete friends! read more

What a pleasant lovely experience. I live in Castroville, Texas and was wanting to have a nice plant delivered to my daughter-in-law for her birthday. Lorraine was so helpful and sent me pictures of different plants and pots until I found the perfect prayer plant! She even helped with personalizing a birthday card and arranged for delivery on my daughter-in-law's birthday!!! I was looking forward to going here for a large indoor plant for my new apartment. No one greeted me or asked me if I needed help. I picked out a plant and took it to the counter and asked about pots for it. The young woman would not even get up to show me what might work and just pointed around the store. When I said I would just get one somewhere else, she was fine with that. I got no information about caring for my new plant and no customer service. Very sad. read more
